Whats your favorite Disney Park Ride & why?

The Disney Pass is great, but in a crowded park, it honestly doesn't help all that much. I have been to Disney Land multiple times where they sold out tickets for the day (park was at max capacity). Fast passes for nearly all rides (worth riding) were out before noon.

Haunted mansion in eurodisney was class - the floor dropping and ghost train :D god im such a kid...

It so nice that disney changes the same rides at different parks. Gets rid of that cookie cutter feel. I want to win the lottery so I can go to all the Disney parks so I can enjoy the differences of the same rides at the different parks.

We are all kids when we go to Disney.

They say for the not popular rides you want to send one person to get the fast pass as soon as the park opens. This is what we did when we went to Hollywood studios. I went to get the fast pass for my family for the toy story 3d mania ride as it sells out in just a few hrs. My wife took my son to sign him up for the star wars jedi experience. With Disney you need a game plan the night before to get what you want to do.

Yeah to be honest one of the most noticable places I have seen this is Animal Kingdom when Everest first opened and Soaring at Epcot. You get there in the a.m and the fp return is for about 7p.m. The worst one now is Toy Story Mania, we couldnt get near it when we went at Easter. But generally the rest of the rides weren't too bad.

I feel that the Universal Studios Hollywood fastpass is worth it if you only have 1 day to spend there. Depending on the time that you arrive there and on what day, it's quite difficult to be able to ride everything and see all of the shows. My friend from S. Korea and I went last summer and arrived there at like 10-11am and got the fastpass and was able to do everything we wanted until the park closed. It was a really busy day and lines were long so they were definitely worth it. If we didn't have them... we wouldn't have been able to see all the shows. It was 104F that day so it was great that we didn't have to wait in line. As an added bonus, you also get behind the scenes access to Waterworld, T2: 3D, and Universal's Animal Actors.

Disney's fastpass works very differently than Universal's. With Universal, you get front of the line on everything and first admission to the shows. Disney's fastpass (from what I last remember) is that you are only allowed 2 at a time and you must ride at a certain time of day that is on each fastpass. I also believe that you have to wait until you are able to get more fastpasses (ex. 2 max every 4 hours or whatever). At Disneyland, the best rides to get fastpasses on are Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates.

Quick note: The fastpass at Universal Studios Hollywood is called "front of the line pass" (self explanatory).

Universal Florida, its "express pass" and is supposed to be quicker than the regular line, BUT on a few of the rides I still sat and waited - Spiderman and Jimmy Neutron both said 40 minutes regular line and I waited about that for them to come off WITH the express pass.
Disney FP, yes you can't have several open at once and it does give you a time, but generally its maybe an hour - really depending on how busy the park is, and it fits nicely that you can maybe queue for one ride and then your fp is ready for the other, and I've never queued that long with a FP. Also you can use them many MANY times, we ride space mountain over and over again until the regular line gets long and then we FP, then we'll head over to Splash and Thunder, and then get a FP for one of those while we head back to Space and ride with the FP. Also Universal the express pass isn't available on the more popular rides like the new Harry Potter world.
And Haunted Mansion doesnt have FP at Florida.

Truer words were never stated. I still go nuts for the mouse. Not gonna lie.

When I went it was so long ago that the fast pass didn't exist. We jumped in line with everyone else and waited. Took us four days to see all three parks (no Animal Kingdom back then) and we had a blast.

Side note: I heard a story one time about a guy who did some sort of internship at Disney with some of his friends. They worked there so they could get in and out of the park anytime they wanted. They would go there in their off time as a group and line up in front of a blank wall. They would wait as tourists from all over the world would line up behind them. Then they would go walk off and leave everyone waiting in front of the blank wall for something to happen.

I was there during Easter week and the line for mania was about an hour. We probably saw each other and didn't even know it:eek:

A few years ago at Disneyland, I was with some of my friends who have a lot of connections and friends who work at Disneyland. The most awesome thing to happen that day was to be able to ride the Haunted Mansion elevator back up when the ride shut down for like an hour. It shut down as we and others were going down the elevator so my friend's friend who was working at Haunted Mansion asked us if we just wanted to ride back up. Going back up isn't as exciting though hehe. After that we just hung out in the elevator for a while and was just running around playing duck duck goose. Definitely one of the best moments at the park.

I used to have videos of us doing stupid stuff in the elevator but deleted them a long time ago. If I knew about Facebook back then, I definitely would've put them up there.

Another great moment was when my friends and I (different time) were the very last people to ride Space Mountain since we caught it at 1:59AM (New Years Eve celebration).

yeah maybe we did, I had my Minnie Ears on:)
we didnt even attempt TS Mania. To be honest its going to be similar to the Space ranger spin, and although I love the ride it is essentially more of a younger ride, and so to stand around queueing for over an hour....
I'd rather queue for Aerosmith, I LOVE that ride.
I so want to go on TOT, purely to see the inside but I know I havent the bottle to go on the ride!

*sigh*
I wish I had connections
My grandfather was friends with a former prime minister.. *where* did it all go wrong :(

one of my favorite things i have from disney is my picture from the aerosmith ride signed by both joey kramer and Steven tyler. since they come into my work occasionally i had them sign it. They loved it too since my girlfriend didnt know what the ride was so her face is priceless. Ill try to get around to uploading the picture later.

I only went to Disney World once and that was for our Senior Trip in 2000. It was def pretty awesome, but I have to admit, we were concentrating more on how much crap we could really get away with (turn out, quite a lot). Was the first time our school did it, and it was as much a vacation for the teachers and chaperone's as it was for us. I heard they changed sooo many rules in the following years because of us.

The ride I personally rode the most was Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster. 0-60mph in 2 or 3 seconds? Yes please.

I'm actually going again in September. I missed a lot of rides the first time around, like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. So I'll def check those out, and I'm really looking forward to that Soarin' ride, the Mission to Mars one, and the roller coaster with the Yeti.

I like the train ride around the park at Disney Hong Kong. Because there are beautiful views, doesn't go very fast and doesn't make people sick.

YEs the train ride is very nice. When I went this past april we took the train from splash mountain area to the front gates at Disney World and it saves walking when you are tired. First time I ever road the train in the 3 times I have went there. Wish I would of road it more lol.
