I can kinda feel your pain but it's only the Yanks pitching staff that's been depleted and Jeter hurt his calf yesterday on a routine fly-out w/ needing 6 more hits until 3000.

Yeah, the White Sox had him in 2009 (and 2003). He's doing pretty well right now considering his age.

Game 2: Gordon vs Wood
Game 3: Garcia vs Leake

Low blow on the Boston reference but it's ok, we'll be coming into Cinci riding some scorching hot bats.

LOL! I did know it off the top of my head. I typically know the schedule a week in advance. Something tells me that Cueto will pitch a gem but we'll take 2 out of 3 over Wood and Leake.

I KNEW IT!!
And Wood, Leake and been so inconsistent its hard to say. Either can't get anyone out or are 8 innings of lights out OR are only 5 innings of lights out/2 runs...... I know those games are sold out and thats awesome in itself for a mon, tues, wed series

It's only because the Yanks are coming to town though. It happens with all the road games we play. For some odd reason, people just love to watch the Yankees play (more people want them to lose than win but unfortunately for them, we do a lot more of the latter).

Thats what i meant, and i'll take ANY reason to sell out a series. People do love rooting against them. Cant wait for my boys to give the crowd what they want:p

Not the Giants! We sell out every home game, period. Lets say a random Tues 12:45pm afternoon start against the Nats? Yep, sold out.:D
 
Isn't it about time someone spoke up for the team with the best record in the major leagues for pretty much most of the season so far?

All we really need is a decent closer, consistent offense and a healthy roster. That's not asking too much now, is it?

What can you say about three Cy Young winners, a five time Cy Young nominee and one joker?

It's really interesting watching these guys and how they handle themselves when they are having an off day. Same thing can be said for the Yanks, BTW.

Who's the third Cy Young winner? I know Roy has won twice and Cliff Lee once but I didn't realize they had a third winner. I know for certain Oswalt nor Hamels has won the award.

I dunno about all that in reference to my Yanks. When our starters are bad, it's BAAAAAAAAD. I was kind of wishing for at least a little in between this season but AJ has surprised me so far and so has Nova. We'll have to ride the hot bats until the rotation is healthy again.
 
Lets be honest, the Yanks have no good starter in their rotation ;)

Maybe CC but mehhh hes been up and down

I think we scored a TOTAL of 5 runs for the ENTIRE series. SMH.

We almost got swept by the damned blue jays so I feel ya.... think we also only scored 5 runs total in series
