What's your favorite MLB team?

I can't say much for CC, because every time he takes the mound I flashback to when he was the Brewers ace and Bret Myers beat him up at the plate in the playoffs.

The problem with that was that the Brewers overused him for their own benefit. CC had no problem with it because he's a competitor and he was after the big pay day. There was a set of like 7 starts down the stretch after the trade to MIL that they had him pitching consecutive CG's. I don't care how much of a horse you are, 7 consecutive CG's is going to hurt you in the long run. He had no more gas left by the time they made it to the playoffs.

Oh well, matters none to me now. Got my lovely parade in the Valley of Heroes in 09 and I feel another one coming soon.

I completely agree. CC was the one-trick pony for the Brewers and they overused him, but still it was fun (for the red fans) to watch. He certainly cleaned our clocks in '09.

Get's kind of monotonous, don't it? ;)

Nighty-poo, game 2 was postponed until tomorrow. It'll be a day/night doubleheader starting at 12:35 PM EST. I was looking forward to my Yanks waxing some Red ass lol.

Looks like its going to be a LOONNGGG night. Bumgarner has given up 8 straight hits. It is now 6-0, runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the top of the 1st and the Twins' pitcher is now batting aka Twins are about to bat around in one inning with NO outs still.

Edit: Whew, Pavano strikes out. 1 out. Lol.. and now the top of the order back up.
Editx2: Next batter hits a double. 8-0 Twins. Bumgarner pulled after pitching 0.1 innings. This is horrible. Still only the 1st.. ugh.

Damn woop, that is pretty bad

Yeah it is. Bumgarner made history: first pitcher in the live-ball era to give up 9 hits in a game without getting at least 2 outs.

His line for tonight: 0.1 IP, 9 H, 8 ER, 1 K (struck out the AL pitcher). ERA jumped almost a full point (I think it was in the low 3s before, now in the low 4s)

Don't feel too bad. The Cards gave up 9 to the Phils in an ugly 8th. Two hit batters and runs walked in.

Saw that on Gameday earlier. But that was among 5 relievers, so although its bad, its not as bad as what happened to the Giants. The entire 8 ER's were charged to our starter who pitched 0.1 of the 1st inning. Our bullpen is going to be gassed after this game, and we still got 2 games left in the series.

Don't look now, but after a horrendous start, here come the Twins. :) I don't know if they can completely overcome that start, but they're getting healthy and playing some pretty damn good ball these days...

Nah, you guys are still at the bottom of most offensive categories:p (along with my Giants.. I think we're like 1 or 2 ranks ahead of you guys in every category lol.. all of which are in the bottom 10.. might even be bottom 5). Twins just got lucky that their pitching gets to face our crappy offense and Bumgarner was completely off his game tonight

Well, our offense is getting better, and *should* (maybe, fingers crossed :o) get better still. Look we've definitely played some iffy teams and had some luck lately (WTH did happen to Bumgarner tonight?), but 15 wins in their last 17 can't be so easily dismissed. I'm just saying - here we come - again! :)

All I'm saying is I wanted to punch Bumgarner in the face today after that.

Sad thing is, I actually watched the entire game thinking we'd come back.. how pathetic.:o

Went to Boston 3 years ago and fell in love with Fenway so it has to be Boston Red Sox all the way which in turn has fallen nicely into place as I am a big fan of Liverpool (same owners now for all you out of the know)

It was one of those games you feel a bit embarassed about. The Phils didn't win it so much as St. Louis lost it.

I think your right. The Reds are playing bad and have been all year. I do not like Dusty Baker or Walt Jockerty.

I'm so mad. I was in 1st in my fantasy league and Albert Pujols went out and broke his arm. ugh.

Time to plunge in the rankings.
