What's your favorite MLB team?

Lmfao! Time for me to take back my rightful place which you stole from me in Week 4!

I wonder where Nightypoo is at. Reds are beating the Yanks in the bottom of the 6th. Just like I said, Cueto will pitch a gem lol.

Edit: I sooooo called that game well. I had Cueto on the bench in Fantasy too. Oh well. 2/3 is fine for me!

I think your right. The Reds are playing bad and have been all year. I do not like Dusty Baker or Walt Jockerty.
Dusty has made some bad choices but in the end, players need to play

I wouldn't really say the bats are heating up since one player did half the work. A player that came off the bench, nonetheless. The guys that need to hit didn't really do much of anything over the course of the series and shortly before that.

Regardless, you guys are headed into Baltimore so maybe that will help turn things around.

So the Cards spanked Oswalt and the Phillies, too bad they couldn't do that the past two nights....but I'll take a 1st place tie.

Can't really argue with (though i want too, especially after that nightypoo crack:p)

For now:)

Heck with the game. Those kind of things happen (I recall some other teams' bullpen melting down the night before). It's much more serious that Oswalt is hurt.

At least see what you have in Heisey. He could be your answer in left. I know Gomes is not. Then do something at short.

Oswalt's back issues have always been troubling him. I'm sure the Phillies knew the risks associated when they traded for him at the deadline last season.

Oswalt was definitely hurt....after getting spanked and didn't want to finish what he started :P....no serious, I hope he gets better.

Well, lets just pretend I didn't post anything about watching out for those upstart Twins (0-4 since I posted). :o:(

Carry on.

1-2 versus my Giants in that series too :D

If Bumgarner wasn't an idiot and decided to take that night off, theres no doubt in my mind we would have swept you guys;)

Quite a few times are becoming painful to watch, honestly. The Reds are one, Giants are another, and the Angels are the other. I must say that I'm finding Clayton Kershaw more and more amazing each start I watch of his. THAT is an ace.

Giants have been painful to watch since last season. Not sure how far this motto traveled across the country (although I know the Fox announcers would always mention it during the World Series) but last year's motto (and apparently this year too) was "Giants Baseball: Torture." And the exact same thing is occurring.. we lead the league in 1 run game wins, got the most walk off wins. Basically we're a low scoring team that grinds it out and always finds a way to win.

I watch pretty much any game that is on. I have an MLB At Bat subscription so I have access to all the games.

So you must be familiar with our motto "Torture"

We are last in runs scored, yet first in the NL West, and 2nd best winning % in the NL (I think 4th in the MLs).. if that isn't torture, I don't know what is haha. Heck, we have LESS than 20 home runs at home and I think our leading home run guy (Huff) has 8 HRs lol. Watching this team (until they magically pull out a win) is one of the most frustrating things to do.. but they ALWAYS find a way to grind it out

Those are the good games though. Don't get me wrong, I extremely appreciate the fact that the Yankees have an explosive lineup and can generate runs from any spot in the lineup but watching blow-outs isn't my definition of entertaining baseball. I want to see some pitching duels.

Every team has blow outs though. Matter of fact, I think the Giants have only had 2-3 blow outs entire season. So other than what I mentioned above - I don't see whats "painful" to watch that isn't applicable of ALL teams in the ML's. Even the Yanks have had some rough games

Of course. Every team has a stretch of bad games played or just bad games in general. What urks me is when the Yanks lose to rookie pitching. Ohhhhhhh, it gets on my nerves sooooo much!

I was so shocked when they dropped a 4 spot on Nicasio yesterday.

One team that does seem to be tumbling are the Pujols-less Cards. 3 game losing streak, and under .500 for their past I think 15 games? (I know for sure past 10 games). Won't be long before the Reds pass them up in the NL Central. Speaking of which, a big "WTF" goes out to the Pirates for having a record above .500 this late into the season. Maybe they'll finally make a playoff run this season? Lol
