Where to get Cheap Boost Refills

New to boost.....not sure if the following is true but will definitely look into it for next month.

If you have a target visa you get 5% off on all purchases. I asked the electronics rep if that included Boost cards and he said yes. So that is an easy savings if you have the target visa.

One thing I don't know since I initially paid online...if I buy a boost card in the store am I charged sales tax?

Cheers.

Target is a nationwide brick and mortar store. They have to collect state tax no matter what state they are in. When you go to the store they'll charge the appropriate tax. Their Boost refils are a few pennies lower than the face value of the card. $49.95 for a $50 card and so on.

You're correct that you'll save 5% on the price but paying 7% (in my state) tax negates the savings.

I have been with Boost for almost 2 years and I pay $40 including tax. I started out at $50 and went down to $35 (non Android phone) with the shrinkage, but as soon as I got my Samsung the lowest they go is $40 with an Android phone. They call it an Android plan or something to that affect. I tried the BlackBerry plan for a month and I think it started at $60 a month. I switched back to the Android and never looked back.
When did you get the samsung galaxy prevail and are you still using it?

If you activated a prevail before Oct 7 and you dont move to a new android you should still be seeing the $35 rate.

I only pay $35 a month for my prevail. and i think i got grandfathered in the non android plan since i was at $35 a month and upgraded before they introduced the Android plan increase. its another reason i havent upgraded to the warp or evo since i dont want to pay $60 more a year.

also the first 18 months i never paid more than $ 30-35 since sprint took forever to update the towers here in toledo i kept getting dropped calls. so i bi**hed and complained every week till my bill was down to nothing. i actually got some months free. and my girl, she pays for like 2 months. then she doesnt pay for 2 months then boost offers her a free month every so often to avoid losing her. then she pays two more months. so. there ya have it. a few ways to bargain with boost.

as if it werent cheap enough lol

For those of us using automatic payments. Every month when your payment is due money is taken out of your account. The payment plus applicable tax.

If you change your address on the Boost Mobile site to somewhere in the state of Oregon you'll not be charged tax. Just the flat fee that Boost charges.

Your actual address. The area code assigned to you. The billing address of the CC that you use to replenish your account are all immaterial.

The address has to be a REAL address. 123 Anywhere street is not going to work.

Be creative.

just tried it and it didnt work for me

I found boostmobilesav.com and they accept paypal hope this helps nevermind two of you guys already had links up for this

Kolosus,

Can you please explain to me in detail how that works ? For example, My Boost bill is usually $65 ( $55 Unlimited + $10 for International )......... So I would buy like two of the $40 pins which gives me on my Boost account $100, right ? But where, when and how do I have to enter the PIN ? On the phone, on the web site, etc ???

Thx

Prepaid Refill

$50 Boost pins for $40. I've used it multiple times today. Filled my wife's account, my primary account and my secondary account too. They email you the pin straight to the email address you have on file with paypal. I got my pin emailed to me within the hour!

The $20 for $15 is a better deal.

$15 * 5 = $75 for $100
$40 * 2 = $80 for $100

Edit: The dealer seems to be running from Russia? Kinda sketchy. Will post results on whether or not I'm out of $150 later.

edit2: the only other thing i could find about this place is http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1773574-Boost-50-refill-for-40-dollars.

Also the email associated with the website/paypal is pashabreez2@gmail.com. After a quick google search, the dealer is definitely Russian. Tethering right now so speed is slow but a simple google search brings up a LOT.

Edit3 & final edit: Got the pins via email. All worked, HOWEVER, the guy is out of the $20 pins and gave me four $50 instead of 10 $20. Legit but would still caution just in case. You know, new territory plus dealing with someone from another country. I.e. don't be ******ed like me and buy a shit load.

He might be running out of Russia but his pins work and they are deeply discounted.

You're correct. The discount on the $50 card is 20% while the discount on the $20 card is 25%. Definitely the better deal.

IDK how he's getting his pins but they're definitely good. I've bought $120 worth of pins from him and I've used them all up. The money is in my account and as far as I know they cannot take it out of my account.

If he's got a pin generator I want to be his best friend! :D

EDIT
vce2005. The pins he supplies are the 14 digit pins you'd buy at a walmart or other store. You can either call Boost from your phone and supply them with the pin and the money will be loaded into your account or option two is going into your Boost account online and click on the "add money" link. It'll ask for your pin, you put in the pin and click continue. Pay attention to your account balance as that is the only indication that the pin worked.

I personally used the second/online method. I'm lazy and using cut/paste was just too convenient to pass up.
Good luck.

That is what I was thinking after I got the pins. It is pretty hard to get airtime cheap here in America. But to get it even cheaper from someone in a country that as far as I know does not have Boost service is again sketchy.

I talked to the guy briefly. He said he has a shop that has been opened for two months. I'm thinking it is the same shop associated with his xbox-freedom website/service? His websites seem to be mostly gaming console orient.

So yeah, I dunno. Maybe a pin generator or maybe he has very good hookup...Only time and consistency will tell.

Paypal will refund your money supposedly. So if you got a bill coming up and need to "re-Boost," I'd say try it out.

I wonder, if they are somehow generated, will boost still honor them or will they deduct the amount from the balance?

Last night, I got 2 $20 pins for $30 total. Both worked.

Just checked the website, the $20 pins are now $16. $50 pins are still $40
