Help Which Games Work and Dont Work

Gaming on the SGS2 is not looking great right now.

Just about every game I have tried has crashed after a few minutes of play. Even ones downloaded from the games hub. Seems there is an issue here has samsung need to sort out.
I am not a big gamer but it is still annoying for a flagship phone to fail at what other cheaper phones can do without problem.

Anyone know of a feedback site for Samsung?

You wont need one. Works perfectly for me. If it keeps on crashing, draining battery life or heating up, install new firmware (KE7)

Yeah, it looks horrible, most people can't play ANY games on it.. because they can't GET the damn phone.

GameLoft are strict about what phones their games run on and will possibly need updates for the SGS2. I read they limit platforms to stop piracy, maybe this means they make a different version for each handset so one version can't be passed around, which would be why you have to select yours. That's just speculation.

I've had no problems. Tegra games apparently don't work, I haven't tried personally, and GameLoft games are generally unavailable. Everything else seems to work well, including GameLoft games through the GameHub. I have Just Golf 2 installed and working well. I can believe some games will need updated and the SGS2's firmware might need a few tweaks (one of the reasons I'm in no hurry to do that fiddly root hack) to fix a few issues but I've no doubt this handset will be great for gaming.

All the Gameloft games released for the Galaxy S II work perfectly, it's not a case if them not working, it's a case of some having not been released yet.

That post was before I got my galaxy s2, like I've said previously most of the information in this thread is outdated and should be locked, you shouldnt make a thread like this unless your planning on updating the original post.

The following games I got from the Android Market which is FREE...

Zynga Poker - Can log in and play, but will hang in mid game
Angry Birds - Can play, but hanged after 1 hour plus...
Inotia3 - can play, but hanged if mobs swam me and I start to hit franticly.
Pocket Legends - can play (online game) but when a lot of characters eg Party and start killing mobs (swam) it hanged

Games which are ok with me is
Zenonia3 - can still hang but less chance
Simple games like Mahjong, cards game are ok.
Havent tried any 3d games

When I say hang it means either of the following
1) RAM and CPU % usage is red in colour, game frozen
2) Game closed by itself. When checked, the application is not activated at background ( I dunno how to explain it better)

Appreciate if you can try the game and let me know. Either the games are not compatible or my phone is in deep shi+

Angry birds work perfectly fine on my device along with inotia 3. I haven't tried the other games that you listed now to work.

The only game that has caused concern for me is Aporkalypse. This tends to thrash the CPU, leading in a very hot phone and loss of battery in a short space of time.

i would recommend GT Free+ Academy HD. i have Asphalt as well but it`s poor comparing to GT. try it urself, its free

Tried NFS Shift didn't work I just got a white screen but could slightly see the outline of the game

I've downloaded lots of games from GameHub. I think they should work. I only tried it out a little bit and stop since don't want to pay for it. (Only paid for Real Football). Maybe after find some time to play the HD games proper will pay for the rest. Just don't download those that says for specific phones only.

Now my problem is that I am also paying WeRule through GameHub and right now, I logged on and automatically gets kicked out with Server Request Rejected Error 201 Message. If anyone got the same problem, or know why and how to fix it, let us know.

All the game from gameloft works great for me (9mm,mc2,nova2,gangstarmc,splinter cell , bia2 etc) only fast five seems to get a bad framerate during the game just sometimes. with chain fire, Galaxy on fire 2 works so nice really good graph and no bug and fruit ninja THD as well.

How you get android 2.3.5 already? GT is great, but cars at the earliest level sucks and you cant upgrade fully without real cash. But seems more real. Alphast is just like an arcade. Fun, can crash and kill other cars and got boost like crazy.

Both sucks battery power though.

Games that are mentioned here as not working is already installed on my gs2 are working perfectly alright.enact I am amazed at the performance of this phone.
