hey guys i flashed this rom 2 days ago and i love it. the only thing i didnt like was that when im using it it kills my battery. it drops 2-3% every minute or 2... i installed setcpu and that helps when i have the screen off or if the battery is below 25% bc i set up profiles... does any1 know why it kills my battery when im using it?

kernal version- 2.6.32.17-g22557fd htc-kernal@and18-2 #15
build #= warm z twopointtwo (rls 1)

can i flash a different kernal that will help with the battery?

thanks for any help guys!!!!

Yes you can. Plenty of forum members (including myself) have had great success w/ Netarchy kernels. BFS has always drained my battery a bit faster, so I use CFS. I would suggest trying a more havs (more aggressive undervolting) first, and if that proves to be unstable (random reboots, screen tearing, etc.), flash the less havs version. You can find Netarchy's kernels here:

[Kernel]netarchy-toastmod, Stable: 4.3.1 Beta: 4.3.4 (17-Mar-2011) Now With HDMwIn - xda-developers

can i run it along side of setcpu or shld i get rid of setcpu?

Luckily the default kernel that comes with WarmZ has been working great for me. I still might try Netarchy to see if it improves battery life, and for its other tweaks.

not to be a spelling nazi or anything like that (and if you were being sarcastic by spelling them wrong i apologize, but...) its kernel and warm, not kernal and worm, respectively ;)

i was using the netarchy 4.1.9 v7 (no havs sbc, no undervolting) something like that.

It was a great kernel for that rom

So whats the current status on the debate for SBC being bad for batteries or not? Can't search for sbc here, think its too short to search for.

I've seen several threads warning about potential damage etc, but haven't seen any new info on it for a while...

Sorry to hijack the thread :\
