dude don't go back to 4.4 did you partition your sd card and enable apps2sd in settings? Before you partition your card back up everything first.this rom is iller than 4.4
chris22 said:Alright, So I was SO EXCITED that 4.6 came with working MMS out of the box. It worked once, but much to my demise, stopped working after that. This is driving me insane. I have tried many of the ROMs out there that claim they have working MMS, but never do. What can I do to fix this? Or is this something that I will just have to deal with? Because just this alone is making me want to un root and just upgrade to stock 2.1. By the way, THIS ROM ROCKS!
So I flashed the 4.6 rom. Then flashed the apps. Then flashed jit on. I booted the phone. Then mounted to phone to pc. Then copied all files to new folder on desktop from sd card. Went into recovery mode again and partitioned the sd card. Rebooted. Truned on app2d in settings. Mounted phone to computer and dragged all folders from my backup folder to my phones sd card.
Is this how everyone else does it?
Thanks!
btw guys, found a sweet thread for custom boot animations. gives full details on how to do it, and even previews and links to download some pretty cool ones. (i currently love one in aloysius v12 so thats what i'm using (thanks spencer_moore))

I can get custom boot animations to work fine, but I just absolutely can not get the boot sounds to work with this ROM. If anyone knows how to do it, please tell...![]()
i already told you how. you just didnt like it. lol

do a favor and grab your apns.conf in /system/etc and post it.
And where would that be?
No that's not a boot sound, that's a notification sound
It plays during boot because the SD card gets mounted.
It's just not the same because it doesn't do it at the right time...![]()
it works tho. sorry i cant help man. i remember a boot sound on a rom i used, but i forget what rom it was.Save your sound file to android_audio.mp3 and save a copy in your SDK/tools folder.
Then do this command
adb push android_audio.mp3 /data/local
This was from this post at AndroidForums found with a quick Google search.

Is it possible to move select apps back to the internal hard drive after they are downloaded? The option to "move" the app is there, but I can't seem to get it to do anything.
Yeah you just click "Move" and you'll see right above it that the Storage Location changes from "SD card" to "internal" or vice versa. I moved all of my widgets back to internal to minimize any lag that may be caused by them being on the SD card.
Hmmm..... That's how I was thinking it should work. It doesn't want to work for me. When I click "move" a small window pops up that says "Please Wait... Moving Application". The window appears and disappears in about 1 second. And the application doesn't move.
Has anyone seen this before??
So it says "Storage Location: SD card" and then after you do the move, it still says "SD card" there? Just want to make sure you're looking in the right spot.
And just to verify, you have Apps2SD checked on in Settings -> Applications, correct?
Also is this only happening on certain apps, or all apps?
Hmm that is strange, I dunno... Try doing a Nand backup, and re-flashing the ROM (do a wipe and dalvik wipe before the flash). It should still keep your apps installed (best part about Apps2SD). Sometimes a re-flash fixes stuff![]()
Hello. I just rooted using rooting for dummies.
I want to use this rom but im having a problem. I flashed it from the SD card and it loaded but the touch screen does not work. The track ball works and i can receive calls using the green call button but no touch screen.
I have searched but have found nothing.
TIA
Oops. Thank you.it's in the 2nd post of this thread. there is a touch screen fix you need to download and flash.
exactly the problems. others have had it. its a few pages back.
grab the apns from ivans rom (posted around here somewhere, in this thread also i believe, just use the search), and download apn backup and restore. delete apns, then restore apns using ivans. there is a complete how to somewhere on this forum. i know it says they are baked into the rom, and for most people it works, but i have always had to use ivans apns. not sure why.
but you are correct, white widow is one of the best roms available. and andrizoid is always quick to answer questions.
all you new rooters, show your appreciation and throw the guy a buck or 2 here and there. every little bit helps to keep these updates pushing out!
