Root White Widow

I've got a weird problem now... when I plugged in my phone via USB to the computer, it took quite a while for it to finally show up in the notification bar (but it started charging immediately). And now when I unplug it, the USB icon still stays in the notification bar and wont' go away... it just says "USB Connected" and nothing happens when I click it. Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind, it was a bad USB cable. Weird...

First off, Awesome work! Found it on XDA and was sent here for the new version.

I have the same problem with the USB Icon staying in the notification bar after I unplug it. It has been on for hours and I just had to do a reboot to get it to go away a minute ago.

I also have one more issue. I can't seem to get a picture message in stock messaging or handcent. It has a button for download but just doesn't do it. Is that something the second mms patch fixes? When I was looking at the first post I saw the "apps" zip said something about mms in it so I didn't know if I was supposed to do both.

What's different now ?

nothing. i think noonehere misunderstood my comment about hosting my links. i think he took it to mean that i was going to host them myself so i could include whatever i wanted.

im just hosting them to make it easier for me, everything in one place, and faster up/download speeds

Yeah, I thought I had an issue with trying to install before and wondered if Andrizoid had the one he used or if he used the one floating around. Should have been a little more verbose. Thanks for helping.

o ok. i have smush installed so let me check if i can find the apk in it.

I am thinking of installing Smush........just keep waffling back and forth. They are close but hey......

Maybe we will get some fresh White Widow action. Not that 4.5 is dried out or anything.

i do really like WW, but i am loving smush. phone is ridic fast and it looks great

I really like the white bar with the rounded corners... probably my favorite that I've seen. I used to like the black Sense bar over the stock white Android bar, but for some reason the rounded corners really changed my mind, haha...

If you try that Droid X Keyboard can you tell me how you installed it? I can't seem to get it to work with WW

Does the multi-touch keyboard even work on the Eris? I thought I read that people couldn't get that to work for some reason... And if it does, do you need/want that feature? If not, I don't see any reason to get this... The HTC_IME keyboard is much better, IMO, simply because of the shift feature. I like how you can hold down the "k" key, for example, to type a "?" instead of having to use the shift key to switch layouts.

Just installed a few new apps to the SD card and they are not showing up in the launcher. This is the first time I have experienced this. Anyone else have this happen? BTW I know they are installed because I can see them under "manage applications."

I am using ADWLauncher and have not experienced this... When I first start my phone, it takes a few seconds to populate all of the apps into the drawer, but after that everything is there. Did you install something that's not supposed to show up, like keyboards/widgets/etc? Or did you try restarting? Not sure what else it could be...

the MT keyboard isnt actually MT...at least from what i can see, but i dont understand how a keyboard can be MT to begin with...so i could be totally wrong lol

the keyboard i put in suave smush is just because it matched the overall theme of that rom. for this rom i recommend the HTC_IME mod included in the optional installs pack thats pushed to your sdcard.
