Hurp-a-derp another question.

I can't possibly update or even remove ASTRO file manager. Its using the old outdated version so it has the "expired" pop-up. I don't really use ASTRO that much anyway so I deleted it. Everytime I reboot, it just comes right back, and if I try to update it, it goes right back to the old version. So its like I'm stuck in this perpetual outdated ASTRO version.

Can someone please explain this?

So, Andrizoid..are you yourself leaving jit disabled personally for your use? How about others..and also, since I just got everything reset up on my phone, and if I wipe dalvik and run jiton.zip would it mess my aps up?
Or should I just leave Jit off?

Why can't you remove it ? Does it not show up in "Manage Applications" ?

You can use Titanium Backup to uninstall also. Or, go to the Market, Downloads, and if it's listed there, select it and you should get an uninstall option.
 
Does Shazam work for anyone running WW ? I do NOT have JIT enabled (some apps don't work with it apparently).

When I attempt to tag a song, it immediately says it couldn't tag and gives a "try again" option. Trying again results in an immediate failure.

No, I mean I can't possibly remove it. The option is there, and it deletes it. But when I reboot, it comes right back, like it was never uninstalled at all. Its very bizarre. I also moved it to the SD card, but once again, on reboot, it goes back to the internal memory and wipes out the SD card one. I removed the 3D gallery (I don't like it personally), and had no problems with that uninstalling.

And Shazam is working for me. So I have no idea why it isn't working for you.
 
So here is attempt number two with v4.6. Last time no apps would install. :((yes I have had my SD partitioned) So hopefully after a wipe and reflash this will work. :D

JIT is not enabled by default so I don't have to flash the JITOFF.zip?

I used Shazam last night on WW 4.5 and didn't have any problems. I'll be installing 4.6 tonight.
 
Last night I had the same problem and I have a partitioned SD with titanium backup...but after I rebooted i went to the application menu and noticed i didn't have unknown sources checked =P

I personally had a good experience with JIT on 4.5 running from the beginning. It was a little laggy at first but then it picked up and i noticed a little speed (some might think otherwise)

But from reading the first post you should wipe when you turn JIT on i believe...and I don't think it will mess up your apps either.

Yeah the funny thing is that it happens to me a lot for some reason. Every time I flash a new ROM i get the same problem and I'm always like "WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG?!?!" .....5 minutes later after pulling my hair out, I'm like "OH YEAH...."

I know i do the same thing. I feel like a idiot sometimes. people just need to tell me im getting the I D 1 0 T error. lol
 
I just learned to live with having a derp-a-derp Astro. Maybe once andrizoid comes back online he'll know why.

I've already tried reflashing. But whatever. A clingy app is not a huge deal, since the rest of the ROM is near perfect.
 
Dang you andrizoid, everytime I turn around there is a new ROM. I can't keep one on for more than a few days it seems lol. :D

BTW, nice work. Not sure if I should try the Smush or 4.6 now...
 
I can't seem to watch videos in HD in the YouTube app... there is no option for it when I press menu, like there used to be. I tried downloading the .apk from XDA, and it said they are both version 1.3. When I went to uninstall my current one, it wouldn't let me...

Any suggestions?

I've tried everything. It just comes right back. I don't even know how its possible.

So I've pretty much given up until someone can give me a good suggestion on how to get rid of it or even update it.
