Root Who can root Evo in 11379

Who can root my Evo in New York 11379/11354?

hopefully some1 with an evo will give you more advice but with fascinate its like a 10 min process, took longer to install drivers and d/l files than actual rooting, and I know I wouldnt trust any1 but myself touch my phone for something like that.

I know, im very hesitant.......There was someone on CL, :( I emailed him and since then he emailed/text me about 50 times something fishy to say the least. Hoping someone recognizes my zip code and can help me out......

You should root it yourself... its not hard with tools like unrevoked handy... I wouldnt trust the fate of my phone with a stranger.

Have you read this sticky thread? I just rooted my phone by following this thread to the "t". I studied and read all of the posts in that thread until i felt comfortable with the terms and then dove in and rooted. I must say all the guys on this forum are amazing so feel free to post any questions you have. they usually are pretty quick on responding. so i say root yourself, there is no sense in you paying somebody else, especially a stranger to do the work for you. i would never trust someone i don't know with my phone where a lot of personl information is stored. but that is just me.

here.. mail it to me and ill root it for you ;)
lol jk.. but really, if you follow the rooting for dummies thread, it explains everything very well.
just read through it very well a few times. and you know we are all here to help you.
good luck :)

Beyond saving yourself a few bucks and not having to hand your phone over to some random stranger, doing the process yourself will give you a slightly better understanding as to what is going on and where things are located in the event that you need/want to change/update anything in the future.

If you really want to get in to ROMs, kernels, themes, and more, it would behoove you to learn the rooting process yourself. I'm no whiz with the precise goings-on with rooting, but Matlock's thread makes it easy and I'm learning every day.

You should do it yourself like has been mentioned. It will give you a much better understanding of your phone and how it works. There is so much to read and there are so many easy ways to root. Just takes some reading.

ROOTing is only something you can decide to do. If you are hesitant to do it, then DON'T DO IT. Unless you are just one of those Die Hard Core people who love to jump into things! lol

Read Read Read..... Did I mention READ? Didn't think so. :p

It took me..... almost 6 months before I finally decided to ROOT my phone. I originally had an Eris, and wanted to ROOT it, but was afraid I'd screw it up. I did however flash a leaked Update for 2.1 that wasn't ready for release for it. But that was child's play.

I eventually got an EVO.. Did more reading then finally said "F**K IT! I WANT ROOT!!" Did it, Got It, DONE! Now I am a happily ROOTed EVOer!!

You'll know when your ready. Be patient.

Rooting isnt the hard part.... you just click a button.
Getting the drivers and everything sucks though.. You should find a mac to do it on ;)
No drivers needed.
Download and click! Rooted!

give us an update...i literally walked a friend through the process by text last night...while I was driving...

it took him 10 minutes

I would love to have rooted it myslef but im absolutely terrible with anything computer related. Not a shot in hell I would do it myself. :(

Im gonna read the thread a few times when I have time (and a clear head) and take it from there.

texting while driving is not a smart idea, especially on a touch phone lol! but yea like mentioned it is "overwhelming" but easy, don't let it get to you, just follow the guide and do exactly what it says, if something doesnt feel right just post a topic asking for input and we are here to help!

Haha no its not a good idea...especial while smoking....and driving a stick ....and don't throw your empty beer bottles out the window...especially when passing troopers.

In all seriousness tho...i linked my friend to the root thread and he followed the directions. The only question he had was about the drivers....which are linked there.

As mentioned...there are more than a few of us willing to help!
