Root Who's used Koush's ROM?

I had to flash that theme with ROM Manager/Clockwork recovery. It won't work with SPRecovery just so y'all know. It is really nice though so far.

Just reinstalled the rom and applied the NexTheme (really looks great). I am having much better results this time (still had to massage a few widgets and some strange behavior with launcher) but I am slowly but surely becoming a convert. Temp is still higher than SS but will play with some kernels. Now it is time to mess it all up and install JIT...

Where are you looking to see that number?

Okay I attached it to this message.. but in settings, sd card and phone storage.

So on the cyanogen forum, there is talk of higher then normal Cell Standby Battery usage.. mine is the highest on my phone thus far ( normally the display is the most)

I changed to Home Only for mobile data to see if that will work, but I know with my old Rom that was NEVER that high. Also my phone has been off the charger for an hour and Battery Left shows it at 90% already (icon in bar is still at 100%).

I really like the features of this ROM, but it Battery life is going to take a hit I am going to have to switch back

what is everyone else seeing for that?

For some reason the diskspace reporting is very screwy. When I attempt to push the JIT files to my phone using the ADB method I get: failed to copy errors "no space left on device." Went into root explorer, changed to mount r/w and tried to move the files manually. Same type of error. Root explorer reports not enough disk space to copy. Other system info utilities show 91 megs of internal memory, 34 megs of ram. Any suggestions? Anyone have an extra Valium or Xanex?

Nice, guess Koush/Cyan was able to save about 40mb of space then. Well actually it could be that since you wiped everything before flashing this ROM you cleared out a lot of cached data from browsing and whatnot.

Either or, I'm not sure which, cause I just wiped to flash a new SS ROM cause I messed the process up and had 170. But hey, more internal memory for me then.

Its a great rom except for the cell standby usage was over 50% in many cases, draining the battery rather fast..until that is resolved I am back on UD7

Now that I've been using the 3D launcher for a bit, anyone else notice it's still a little buggy? Like when you hit home after browsing the web for a few it takes a bit to load the apps up on the homescreen. Also, when switching orientation it takes a bit for them to load.. Sorta annoying.

Andrew, I've turned off home screen auto orientation through spare parts, and that seems to help a little bit.

Also, for the cell standby issue, be sure to select 'home only' in your network settings. Seems to help lower the battery usage.

Tons of potential ..... I think I'm going to wait until it matures a little more. I'd love to see a more unified effort as it relates to the ROM Loader. Having dev's on different pages is not good for overall development.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. Might want to ask someone over at the CyanogenMOD forum for Koush's ROM.

Thanks. Took your advise and asked in the CyanogenMOD forum. Sure enough, someone else had the same problem. As they recommended, I reflashed the rom without the NexGen theme. After that JIT installed fine. I then reinstalled the theme. All is good again (for now). Only real issue is Pure Messenger widget has difficulty getting data. Can't win them all.

so how is everyone fairing with their battery.

my phone has been on standby except for one 10 min call.. so 4h 53m I am at 80% which I think I would be at 70% with Pete's 0.7 after almost 8 hours

Anyway:

Battery Left says 80% system and 69% estimated. I like this ROM, but might switch to Pete's and try the Icon dock apk..

I think I need to get some sleep lol.

Where is this home only setting at?

Ahh, thanks, I never bother with that setting so did not recognize it.

I assume this is good for folks who never leave their home system area, right?

If you're a traveler, then I suppose automatic is the way to go?

Personally I don't even know what it means or does, I just switched it anyways. Heh.
