the OP is talking about a transition effect when rotating. Personally I have never paid attention to see if there have been transitions on the other devices I've had when rotating the screen lolI must be missing something, I'm running number 2 and my screen rotates even the settings rotates

I've never noticed anything different my self, and I've had several android devices. I know some manufactures take that out, they say it causes lag, In fact I think google them selfs don't put it in the new builds.mmk so its just nit pickingI've never noticed anything different my self, and I've had several android devices. We're talking about transitions while rotating the screen, not the other transition effects.Whaaaaat? Don't ICS and JB have the animations like that by default now? What did you mean when you said that Google doesn't put it in new builds?

I've never seen one, it just rotates lol. I just looked on my DX with CM9 too.The animation while rotating the screen. That's the one I'm talking about.

maybe for you all but not me....this fire wont be quenched until theres success....this might be just a another useless feature to you guys but this is a gem in my eyes...it just doesnt make sense that every other technically subpar phone can be modded to achieve this but our beloved Esteems...this just adds more weight to the diehard iphone user's fragmentation arguement ....and one thing i hate is being 1uped by a effing iSheep "diva"/primadonna
Lag i believe is not a real factor....my admire performs the animation effortlessly with no latency...its damn near as nimble as the iphone's rotation animation...my Evo might take literally a second longer but thats becasue of MIUI, and if youre familiar then you know that MIUI (or any heavily themed builds) are slightly slower compared to traditional AOSP
Has any devs seen this??? i know what it reads but the OP has been proven wrong in that its not only limited to Samsung phones and CM based Roms...

basically your saying ur going to leave a phone and it's community beacause no1 has done a mod to give your screen rotation an transition effect? thats sad im sorry.Soooooooo.... basically youre telling me that i should just give up and move on to a more popular handset with a broader developer base...right? unless a certain feature piques your personal interests or youre not experienced enuff to implement it then its a "no-go"...right?
Lovely
time to sell my Esteem
Feel free to express your opinions about devices, carriers, ROM's etc. but do not turn it into a bash-fest on what dev's do or do not do (for free, on their own time) nor should members expressing their opinions be subjected to the Spanish Inquisition....
Now, if everybody has returned to normal atmospheric pressure, you may get back to the development and discussion of rom's for the Esteem (remember that? or was that too long ago?)
