Well, you didn't get back to me on the scrolling wallpaper, but it doesn't really matter. If your wallpaper is a static, single-screen one, your phone will crop this to the right size anyway.

So, here ya go. Hope you like it!

To save at full 960x800 resolution - Follow the link bellow and long press the image on your phone until the save option pops up, Then find it in your photo gallery and set as wallpaper. If it looks fuzzy, you may be better off viewing it from a computer, right click and "save as", and finally transferring to you phone via USB or email.

Hey eyebeam, I was wondering if you could help me out with a wallpaper. I've been looking for a Mississippi State University wallpaper, but all the ones I've come across are a bit bright for me. You think you could come up with something? I'm looking for the MSU logo with perhaps a bit of a grungy look added to the rest of the wallpaper (if that makes sense). I have a Droid X2 for resolution reference.

Sure, I think I can handle that. So what you want is something pretty simple, right? Just the logo centered on a darker, grungy background, and no other frills?

Also, there seem to be a few Mississippi State logos to choose from - Any preference?

Unfortunately, both of these are really too small and low-res to make very good wallpapers for you phone. The Warriors one would need to be almost doubled in size, and the boy & elephant one would have to be more than doubled. This would result in a huge loss of quality. You could try using an app called Wallpaper Wizardii to set them and see if that yields acceptable results, but I kinda doubt it.

On the boy & elephant one, I could do something similar to what I did on this one - LSXMMA_bike_960x800.jpg - ie, add some kind of filler around the edges. Let me know if that sounds ok. As for the Warriors one, that's really in the wrong aspect (too wide) ratio to work very well as an Android wallpaper. I'd have to cut too much of what should be visible off of the sides. Sorry, not much I can do on that one.

If you do want me to take a try at the boy and elephant one, I need to know how your phone wants to crop the wallpaper (different versions of HTC Sense handle wallpapers differently): Does it crop it taller than it is wide as in "A", or vice versa, as in "B"?

Please have a go at the boy and elephant if this is OK, maybe you could use the attached as a filler, or if it not too much trouble, you could make the attached a wallpaper on its own too. My phone crops images taller than they are wide (A). Many thanks again!

have you messed with tineye - they found some of that boy/elephant image that are a little bigger than the one posted but not by much.

Yup, I checked TinEye. While I did find larger versions of that pic, they just looked like blow-ups of the same one, and thus looked just as poor as if I'd enlarged them myself. Thanks for the idea though...

I am obviously not one of them.

Been looking through to find Mercedes Benz emblems. I actually have the lock-screen pattern, though I don't recall where exactly I got it! What I would REALLY like to find is a Benz emblem, on a wet, black background..maybe raindrops on metal?? The emblem itself, though would be chrome, but kind of blue, ya know? Like some of the black/blue/chromed images used for lots of android stuff. If ever I were to find something like that.....I would sing praises to the artist!

Uh, oh, yeah. I run a SGSII.

I just saw that snapdragon is releasing their game command center app for support of Android devices with with their chipsets.
So this eye graphic surfaced. Lucky me, Droid incredible 2 runs snapdragon 1ghz processor.
Who better than the chip maker to know what graphics and type of games it can handle.

I guess I would want it to look more like this...

With the eye kind of centered in the mechanical stuff around it.
Again for Dinc2 same res. scrollable, I use the hTC sense flip clock, but might take it of and all other main homescreen icons to enjoy this wallpaper for a while.

Maybe the resolution might need to be bigger to give room to crop and play with, ya know how hTC's are when you have widgets on main screen...

Outrageous! Now if I could get the emblem in electric blue/chrome! Is there a way to treat the background with the blue/chrome/tint thing?
