I made a few subtle changes here in addition to what your hubby asked for, but nothing drastic. Hope he likes what I did - let me know.

To save at full 1080x960 resolution - Follow the link bellow and long press the image on your phone until the save option pops up, Then find it in your photo gallery and set as wallpaper. If it looks fuzzy, you may be better off viewing it from a computer, right click and "save as", and finally transferring it to your phone via USB or email.

Hey dude. Nice work with wallpapers.

I recently got a galaxy S3. Could I get a slick/basic wallpaper with a side bar and bottom dock made up for my s3?

I cannot figure out hoe people are making them.

Hey there a_dirt_nap, welcome to AndroidForums (and my little corner of it here.)

A few things here...

Are you using a home launcher app (such as GO EX, Apex, Nova, Holo, etc.)? I ask because you'll need to to be able to change the dock, which is a separate image from the wallpaper. Also because you mention a "sidebar", and that's something I'm not familiar with customizing. My guess is that that's some function of a theme for one of the above mentioned apps. Regardless, I have no idea what dimensions it would need to be, and doubt I can make it unless you can give me the exact size it needs to be.

Next, I'm going to need something to go on here. What kind of wallpapers do you like? Any color preferences? Something minimal and monochrome? Bright and flashy maybe? do you want any thing, such as a logo, android, name, etc. featured? The more you can tell me about what you have in mind, the more likely I am to make something you like. Let's start there, and if I have more questions for you (or vise versa) we'll continue this conversation as need be.

As for how others are making their layouts, I suggest a look through - http://androidforums.com/android-themes/4425-post-your-android-desktop.html - especially the later pages. Don't be afraid to ask the good people there questions - most are more that happy to help.

I downloaded and am currently using nova launcher. It seems to work pretty well. So the dock is a seperate image superimposed onto the walpaper? Below is an image of a layout id like to replicate. Its super slick!

By side bar i was referring to the vertical strip along the left side of the wallpaper, another area to put icons. How do I know what the size of the wallapaper needs to be? After doing an internet search the resolution of an s3 is 1280 height by 72 width, does that help with wallpaper sizing?

Ok, that helps...

I think can help you replicate that look with Nova Launcher *IF*

1 - Nova lets you use no dock, or at least lets you change the dock (in that case I can make an invisible one).

2 - Nova lets you change individual icons.

3 - And, Nova let's you set you wallpaper to not scroll (Note: This means your wallpaper, now including the dock and "sidebar" and their icons, will be the same on all your home screens).

Here's how that would work: I'll make a wallpaper that looks like that, with the dock, "sidebar" and all text icons all attached to it. Then you select a no dock option (so the launcher doesn't place another dock over the false one that's now on the wallpaper). Then you'll have to place invisible icons (I have one you can use) over the false text icons that are attached to the wallpaper. Just so you know, you'd need to place the same apps and invisible icons for the "sidebar" part on each of your screens, and also set Nova's dock to a single, non-scrolling one.

If this sounds like something you'd like, and Nova gives you the options necessary to make it work, then cool, let's go from there. Here's what I'll need from you to do it right - A full sized screen shot with icons in place (make sure that the app icons are the ones you want - I'll use those as a guide for the text icons) on the dock and all down the left side so that I can line up where the text icons need to be placed on the wallpaper. Also, you still didn't mention what you'd like the wallpaper itself to look like - that's kind of important.

1. I'll have to do some more digging around. Not sure if I can remove or set bottom dock to invisible, but i will find out.

2. I have desktop visualizer that enables me to customize icons.

3. So all homescreens will be identical? Am i able to have different icons on each homepage?

Even if you can just select a custom dock, that'll work - I'll just whip up an invisible one for you to use.

Great! With that you'll be able to put invisible icons over the text "icons" on the wallpaper.

The wallpaper, dock area and "sidebar" and their text icons will all be the same on every screen. The icons other than that (as well as widgets such as clock, weather, battery level, etc.), can be whatever you'd like on each screen so long as they're not in the dock or "sidebar" area.

Hi eyebeam!! Well, I wonder if you could sort of unmask me? My avatar? Or if thats not possible then maybe put a scarf on her instead? And she would look good with blue eyes. Maybe. I guess what I mean is, can you put a face on her? Or if not a smaller blue scarf, and blue eyes? You look busy so this can go on a back burner till you get time. Love all your work!! Who doesn't!!

Not at all sure I can pull that off, but let me play around with it and I'll see what I can do.

Don't thank me just yet... :o

Took a first try at it, and the results were not good. At least I got some of it to look ok. So, I'll give it another go sometime within the next day or two, but no guarantees on this one.
