Root [WIP][PROJECT]HTC Bliss Sense 3.5! (IT LIVES!!!)

Anybody having problems connecting it to your puter!! I noticed my Kernal was replaced, and I wanted to reinstall it, and when I plug in my phone, my computer doesn't recognize it. Driver update maybe?

Just bought a kingston one (16 gig/class 10) from newegg. Works great on my (newly rooted) Nook Color. :D
 
I really want to try this ROM as well, but I have to have my WiFi... Sprint service around here isn't very good at times so 3g isn't always available.

I for one, am looking forward to seeing how this rom progresses. I was only on the rom for a short period of time when it initially hit but I was impressed with the speed and looks of Sense 3.5. Hopefully the wifi issue is fixed soon:cool:
 
i suggest that you do make a nandroid backup and try it out at least. i did and from what i see, this rom is going to be amazing. can't wait for the bugs to be fixed and a final release comes out.
 
Yeah i couldnt get past the initial set up process. After the first question about wifi and networks all I got was a bare black screen with the bar still at the top. I'm going back and gonna wait till conditions improve
 
This project has a LOT of potential, especially with Virus looking in to these fixes. I'm really excited to see what these guys put together when it's all said and done.

Absolutely:D:D But after flashing v.1.1 and v.1, I don't see a significant difference between Sense 3.0 to Sense 3.5.

The jump from Sense 2.1 to Sense 3.0 was a big difference, imo
 
According to that thread, they have now fixed the Wifi, its just not available yet. I love how all those developers are coming together to help everyone out.
 
With internal memory being an issue with the rom and having a partitioned sd card, I decided to try Darktremor's a2sd and this helped out immensely:D


Look at [Script][A2SD]Darktremor 2.7.5.3 Beta 04 [Evo] (01/29/2011) - xda-developers for more info;)


Download beta04

Boot to recovery
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik cache
Flash beta04
Reboot phone


Then I used terminal emulator

Opened up TE

Type su
a2sd datasd

Let it do its thing and then the phone will reboot

Then

Open up TE

Type su
a2sd cachesd

Let it do its thing and then the phone will reboot


I went from around 60mb to 200mb:D


Hope this helps others but make sure you have your sd card partitioned;)
 
2 questions... is this better, darktremor, than an app2sd app... i'm currently using "app 2 sd pro" and it seems to be doing the trick... and does it need to be installed with each rom flash or do you do it once and you're good...

completely different. this app just utilizes the built in apps2sd to move a portion of the apps to the card. darktremors moves the entire app to the card. it only leaves a symbolic link on the phones memory to tell the phone where to find the app on the card.
 
Drama drama drama on the XDA thread, not sure who's following what right now, but long story short, I'd say we're looking at a bit of a hold on this one. With a little luck its all a big misunderstanding, but who knows.
 
Looks like I'll finally need to get a SD card suitable for partitioning... :eek:

:( It's actually kinda sad. Makes me glad I spend far more time on AF. No one is really acting like an adult over there. Hopefully it all gets settled.

Kings and friends are claiming that Virus is releasing their rom. King asked Virus to fix the wifi or something, Virus said he had to rebuild the whole rom because it was built wrong (couldn't get anything into /bin /ect ... libs not working right). Who knows, I think that virus is releasing his version, but who really knows. Ehh... sad day for evo folks.
 
Hope they work this out. This is just a sweet looking rom. I'll have to get my EVO ready soon. Been almost a month since I flashed anything new ;)
 
Yeah their all saying Virus rebuild it and is only going to offer it to donators.

wow that's really sad. I was seriously hoping this would get all smoothed out and ready for my EVO. This is the trouble with kids these days.
 
The good news is that whether or not Virus is doing that, there are several talented devs already on the project and more offering their assistance. As long as they opt to continue the project we will certainly be seeing a free release of some sweet, sweet Sense 3.5 goodness.

this thing will get worked out just no with virus's help. wow now i know when agrabren was tweeting about politics and such with the devs. i did not know that the evo dev community could get like that. thats too bad that it went down the way it went down. i really do hope that both devs can work out there differences. they are both talented and amazing. i have my faith in evokings and his team can iron out this rom.

so far v1.1 is pretty good for a beta. no real issue except for the known ones. i got 14hrs of play with this rom today with the aggressive freedom kernel. gonna try darktremors to get my apps back on the sd card.
