Being a noob isn't a bad thing, being a noob who refuses to learn is. You're taking the samde first steps we all have, be proud of your progress. Just don't forget this, somewhere down the road you'll find a noob who requires help and you could be the person who saves the day. :3
Hmm...well technically i did not get it working, it doesnt work ..i guess just installing the Aosp doesnt work so i just gave up..thx alot for the help though to all of you!
Mind if I ask how isn't it working?
When you use terminal and type in aaengine, what does it say?
Well it just shows lines and it says Acid mod 7...then it says some other stuff i forgot, but it doesnt work. I turned it on and nothing
That's poor reasoning, have you noticed that while playing music the notches on the volume bar has been increased from 8 to 15? When you flash something, you can't play it off as a failure until you're sure nothing has changed.
I was using acid mod without even being sure of what it exactly did until Version 7 was brought to my attention.
Here's a small list of audio functions.
*replay gain is pulled from the track instead of from the player app itself. (That means better volume control from songs that play at different bit rate, I used to have a copy of alkaline trio's Armageddon that would pretty much blow out your eardrums at a 1/4 volume and would become umbearable at higher levels and acid mod helped being it into bearable ranges)
*the volume bar has been increased from 7 notches on the lg motion to 15, the 8th notch on the old bar is now the 10th notch. Notches 8 and 9 are for bass output.
*it has no direct control on audio management like a DSP styled equalizer would.
*take a look at the build.prop additions, it will give you a good idea of what functions acid mod makes use of.
Hmm well i guess i could give it another try. But just to make sure I install the Aosp first and then I install the mod....right?
You only have to flash aosp on cm10. That's it. :3 dalvik format. Go into terminal and type
Su
aaengine
It should install the new build.prop. if not you have to go into system/bin and manually change permissions for aaengine on a root browser.
it should just follow those directionsHmm..yea..uhh i dont wanna go back to Cm10 will it work on Bella rom or stock?
Update links? :c
Ok so i installed walkman player. and everytime i boot up it up it says "Unfortunately, Download music info has stopped."
Same thing happens when i open up the app and click on where it says "My Music" so any help would be appreciated!
Uh, go into system/apps and disable the download function. I don't have Walkman installed so I can't give you exacts, sorry.
You talking about the download provider.apk?
