Xoom WIFI ONLY - can preorder now!

I have Samsung Galaxy Tab before. The Xoom size is just right for me. Its heavy not its just like holding the original I pad. I can touch type here pretty quick too.

Now I need to get a gel case. The back grey black pane looks fine. But mostly I look at the front so I don't really see much about it. It looks nice.

I will take some picture later tonight. Right now it is still in the plastic wrap and I dont want to
Remove them yet. :-)

Psh!!! lol, I'm going to buy a gel case from verizion store (next door to costco) on sunday until the otterbox case gets released.

That's so funny! I left the plastic on for a week and didn't finally take it off until it started to peel and drive me crazy!:D
 
Picked one up at Staples at about 3:00 Friday afternoon. When I entered the store, they were just setting up their display model. I asked them if they had any in stock and they said that that they had just received a shipment about 15 min before. They broke open the box and got me one. Sold it to me with no problem. The salesman did say that they were not supposed to start selling them until Sunday but he did not have a problem selling it to me today.

Before I went into Staples, I stopped by Best Buy and asked them about the Wifi only Xoom and they had no idea what I was taking about.

I'm pissed at Costco right now.

I called and the person on the phone said they had received "24 of them."

I get in store, and nobody knows what I'm talking about. Every person leads me to the Verizon kiosk, who of course only sell the Verizon one. They say I have to "but the WiFi one through Costco not us" but don't know where they are. No sales associate did either.

F this. I'm calling Staples.

i went into besbuy and had one in my hands to buy.. but when they rang it up.. it showed at 10,000. That is when they noticed the street date.. grrrr

Ugh, I'm waiting for Amazon's slow ass. I wanted to cancel the order to go to Costco today, and it saying "Shipping soon." So this means I can't even cancel it; even though they are shipping tomorrow. Really?

To add insult to injury, those who preordered LATER than those who did it sooner, are getting their Xooms a day earlier. WTF?!

I did. Was at BestBuy when the opened and was the 1st in the store. They only had 4 (they had to get them from the truck). There was another dude in there getting one as well. I definitely like the WiFi unit because it does NOT have the Verizon logo on it. To me that makes it a PURE Google experience:D I also picked up Nintendo 3DS as well. The 3D effect is AWESOME. I have Lego Star Wars III and 3D looks Great. I can't wait for the HTC EVO 3D. I am starting to like 3D. I remember the early 80's and 3D (Friday the 13th 3 in 3D and Jaws 3D). I happen to like 3D (especially the Glasses Free 3D). My kids have already taken alot of 3D pictured and they are pretty cool looking.

No rhyme or reason to Amazon's shipping of the Xoom except perhaps a regional issue. Even stranger my Xoom was shipped from Oakland to Louisville
and now back on its way to California for Monday delivery, UPS' main air hub is in Louisville so that's understandable but I ordered midday on Friday. Those who ordered early might ask for some recompense from Amazon for getting lost in the shuffle.

Got mine from costco instore 589$ + free case + 2 year warrenty + 90 day return.

Gotta love costco.

Its easy to deal with amazon. If the status is shipping soon and you aren't able to cancel online, just call amazon (prepare to speaker to someone with heavy accent) tell you want to cancel the order.

If the order is shipped, you can also inform Amazon that you don't want the order. When UPS or FEDEX tried to deliver, refuse the package. If they dropped off at your door without your present, just make sure you don't open the box. Bring it to UPS or Fedex location and give back to them. Amazon will refund your order after they received it in a few days.
