Zenithink ZT-180 1GHz 10" tablet

Its gonna sound stupid but I am trying to learn while I am waiting for my zt... What is the difference between Universal Androot and Root explorer?
It sound like the same thing.
 
androot roots your phone...give you full access to the root files. root explorer is just an app that lets you view/edit those files

But some Chinese guy from Jtang helped me and told me which icon to click.

Anyway i have my ZT180 now 1 day and every think worked fine (i dunno which firmware i have How can u see)
But i have no problems what so ever WIFI works Market works everythink works just fine.

Bought mine for 160$ at gooweel industrie (tru Wholesale - Buy Products Online from China Wholesalers at Aliexpress.com with no shippings cost (deliverd in 7 days by UPS (netherlands)


(they put price 30$ dollar on box so i dont think i get taxes to pay)
I wonders if their are silicon case to buy for it to get some more grip
 
Is there any kind of root explorer that works for a lot of devices?
or at least a few of them?
It seems that I can find the latest version of root explorer (2.12.4) to download for free.
Anybody have it?

actually if you just google root explorer.apk, a bunch of links will pop up like rapidshare, fileserve, or mega upload to download it for free
 
OK, you might remember that I bought, dropped and broke my first ZT-180 and that after several changes and updates, FW was 827 then, I managed to finally get my Kindle app working.

So I finally got a new one, came with FW 1030, very nice, except my Kindle app was broken again. Originally, using the market enabler and setting the provider fixed the problem but no such luck with this one, so I installed the 11?? (Sorry can't remember right now) beta firmware and still Kindle will not open DRM books.

Help! Again???
 
I've had mine for about 4 days now. Worked great the first few days. However, I turned it on the other day and could not connect to Market, gmail, any google services (but could go online). After awhile (and 3 resets) everything came back online EXCEPT the Home icon in the upper right corner no longer does anything. I've tried everything short of reflashing the thing to get this working again and can't get anywhere. Anyone else experience this problem?
 
Has anyone bought one of these from pandawill.com? I just did and now i'm a little nervious about ordering one from China. Also to the people who had the pads siezed by customs, what supplier sold you those?
 
Hi new poster here....i have a zenithink tablet but branded as an Elonex etouch...bought in the UK...

Also having problems with the Kindle app...managed to download 1 book then constantly get invalid book message..Amazon cant sort it yet!!

Have been using it for a few weeks now...my impressions are battery life average,touchcreen ok but too easy to miss touch icons etc..speakers rubish but sound really quite good when using headphones...

Can any one tell me how to download movies direct to the tablet?..

One question i have...and i apologise if its lame...!...what does a task killer actually do?...does it delete the app from the device?...

I have an HTC EVO running Android 2.1. I LOVE it. I have NO issues. I am able to download from Andriod market, use it as a wifi hotspot, etc. My wife wants an eReader of some sort. I refuse to buy a gadget that cannot multi-task and am considering an ePAD. HOWEVER, it has to be as easy to use as the EVO. I do not want to have to reinstall apps, reflash, etc. I want to be able to plug it in and charge it and use it. I want her to be able to load the kindle reader and go forward without help. I want to be able to download a movie for the kids to watch on a trip.

I looked through 18 pages of this thread and dont feel like there is a definitive review on this product. Let me ask the following:

Is this product plug and play or is it inexpensive because its for people with greater than average tech skills?

for your description you want at least 3rd gen tablets and we are just now seeing 2nd gen

I just got my zt-180 (was seized by custom) and I am having a hard time to install universalAndroot.... it is showing parsing problem... what is parsing?

Parsing package (the apk that you are attempting to install)... I haven't seen this much on any device, but the few times I did it was usually a bad downloaded apk...

Not even knowing what version this tablet was delivered running... I'd suggest checking which sceen size it reports (576 or 600x1024) and installing the latest available (stated as for test, but been rock solid, and will be the base for all version moving forward) 1126 firmware... this thinks it's basically rooted... but some things didn't think so till I installed Universal Androot and then normal root requesters seemed happy...
 
Thanks Jtbnet... I installed it, rooted and I was able to change the TXpower hack to 20.
My zt is 1024x576. I am having a hard time to use the wireless.... does not find my wirelles at all. Any sugestions?

Is this different than before??? Changing TX Power shouldn't affect scanning and connecting to a network... there have been some just bad internal dongles but if it worked before, from at least close proximity, then would seem to rule out a hard bad wifi dongle...
 
Don't know if worked before because as soon as I received, I flashed to 1030.... originally came with 926 - I think. Anyway, everything else works. I can put the wireless on, the scan start but did not find anything (the scan usually try twice) and turned off... and I am 2 ft from the netgear wireless router. Any sugestions?
