Zenithink ZT-180 1GHz 10" tablet

Hi, I have the tablet and I want to connect the usb from the tablet to my pc, but i don't have the driver. Anyone know where I can get the driver?
Thanks.

What version of firmware are you running? I ask as released versions only support USB for Flashing ROM and partial ADB debug... the lastest in test firmware has multiple kernels which add functionality to fully support USB ADB debug and also to mount the tablet sdcard as mass-storage from the PC (Using HTC Hero Driver) but this version has not been completely finished so is Beta Only...

Yoc an find a lot more info on the the ZT-180 tablets over on Slatedroid where we have had a very active section;

ZT-180

i just got my zt-180 and am trying to find a wireless company to hook it up with 3g. does any one know what wireless company works with it

Hi Im new here, Just ordered ZT 180 for my daughter for christmas, should be here betwwen the 21st and 24th. I heard it now comes with updated firmware and android apps preloaded? My daughter will mostly be using it to browse web (facebook, you tube) and streaming movies/videos from websites like stagevu. My question is what do I need to do when I get it to have it ready for her to do these things?

Another Question, anyone else buy their ZT180 from lightinthebox.com? If so how was you experience with them and were you satisfied with it when you recieved it? How long did it take to ship it to you? Thanks!

Other than getting a few apps (facebook, youtube) from the Android Market, you should be good to go. Whoever will be primarily using the tablet will need a Gmail account to set it up. If they have one good, if not you can create one when you first set the tablet up.

I didn't order mine from there but I did do business with them before. They are pretty good. Didn't have any problems.

If someone has the same problem so here is my resolution.
Reason was probably that for some reason i had wrong firmware version, i had
1024x600 but my device is 1024x576.
So i downloaded this iBeau dot net Zenithink ZT-180 1020 Firmware and iBeau dot net Zenithink ZT-180 1101 Firmware this from iBeau dot net
Installed first 1020 and then 1101. Used included instructions and burntool_v07.2.exe and XP pc and fw v 1024x756 and now it is ok.

I ordered my ZT-180 from lightwiththebox.com (do you mean this site or lightinthebox) last november. It took about 2 weeks to get it in the Netherlands. That's faster than I expected.

At the moment I'm contacting them frequently about a problem with the tablet. It seems to be a hardware related problem because the touchscreen doesn't respond at any moment even after reflashing the 1030 firmware. I'd like to exchange the tablet because that's what the one month exchange warranty is about.
Unfortunately I'm not getting any response from my emails to customer support and 1 (non relevant) response from a sales-guy since 2 weeks. That worries me.

I also just placed my order from lightinthebox; I see a lot of bad reports for this website, but I couldn't help the "deal"... got the zt-180 for 179USD with free shipping... I anticipate a lengthy "processing and shiipping" time, but hope to get the item by mid Jan of next year (wow sounds like a long time).

I am checking my order status everyday with my account on their website, and posting reviews throughout this process. I do see a few "good" responses from "customers" on this particular product page, so I hope to be able to make "good" reviews of the product as it gets closer to delivery. As of today, my order status shows an estimated delivery date of 12/31/2010... but I know better than that ;)

I also know I'm getting lot of "technology" for cheap, so my expectations aren't very high for this thing... I just want to do simple web surfing, rdp to my main workstation, some printing and video... it's either going to be a great 179USD experience or a somewhat painful lesson in my short lived "order from China and cross your fingers" experiment.

btw- I am seeing variants in spec for this item (zenithink zt-180, with ARM 11 1Ghz proc), so not sure which one is real... I see specs on zenithink's website, but not sure if I can trust them either... pretty sad... but that's the price we pay for low "prices"... :o

can anyone confirm the ram? is it 256mb or 512?

USD? Does this mean you are a US citizen? If so, you better hope that the U.S. Customs doesn't seize it! If the seller provides the proper documentation, on the outside of the package, then you will get through customs. If not, then it is the luck of the draw.

If you get it, and it has the import documents with it, I would like to see copies of them. I got my tablet from WiiPad, and it was seized because it didn't contain the proper documents. I was eventually able to get it released, and paid an extra $100 fee. But I would like to know what the proper documents are to get one imported.

Thanks

BEWARE!!!!!! I POSTED ABOUT HOW MY ZT-180
i tend to agree with the original thread that customer satisfaction is some what a primer event these days as the common pc has evolved from the apes and Pdas and smart phones and tablets are going through the same process but when you get your new toy home and the unit acts like a boat achor then you have the right to be a little pissed and that's not to say that you did not read the fine print properly you might have misread something but out right lies are out right lies i brought a unit from e bay year i can hear you all now saying sucker look the unit worked ok it did what i wonted it to do but every thing else was a little lame with going into to much detail i have re flashed the memory but the jurney is not over by a long shot

I have ordered this one:
Wholesale New Upgrade ZT180 Pad With Android 2.2 + 512M+ 4GB+ USB 3G Donlge+ HDMI+Camera + Free Protect Film

It's on it's way so hoping it arrives end of next week!:)
Total cost to Sweden was about $210.

The price has dropped almost $20 since I ordered it, now only $152 plus shipping!

The box is the same mine came with, mine does not have the HDMI and only 256megs. I wonder if they have upgraded the CPU?

I'm very happy with mine even if it looks like its an older model now. iPad, although better, is 3x more expensive and I don't think it's 3x better.

My wifi does not work anymore. I am about a foot away from my router and the thing says it is not in range. If I connect directly to my modem via a cable it works (alot of good that does for a tablet).
Any suggestions????

Thanks Demi

p.s. the wifi worked for a few months since I've had it and I am at 1030 software.

I ordered my Zenithink ZT-180 from LightinTheBox.Com. For $179 I couldn't beat the price. I bought this as the Christmas gift from my mother who so generously gave me the money as my gift. The epad arrived Dec 23rd as promised, packaged securely and intact. My epad was new in the box and came with the advertised accessories. I must say I was quite surprised after reading all the posts. My epad worked right out of the box after I let it fully charge. Came with Android 2.1 and detected my wireless right away. Android Marketplace was readily available and I downloaded my first app successfully after reactivating my gmail account. I love this epad. Does everything I wanted it to and more. Best part of it, is that it is as good as my friends IPAD, but at a fraction of the price.

I've had a similar experience. I did have a slight issue with my wireless until I discovered that my wireless repeater was not setup correctly, was using slightly different WPA settings to the router. I discovered this with free 'Wifi Analyzer' android app. Allowed me to tune my network, it now works much better for both the zt-180 and my iPhone, which also had issues. Now the wifi works perfect. :)

Get hold of the app 'Wifi Analyzer'. Its in the Android Market for free. You'll be able to measure your wifi signal. Also see if it's clashing with any that are near buy. Will also let you test you're signal strength.

It arrived yesterday, took only about a week with EMS!
Feels good and was easy to setup WIFI.
I tried adroid market and it worked well for a couple of hours but now it will not download any more? I can browse and check videos on you tube so the WIFI is fine, anybody else having problems?

Also, where can I see which adroid version I have? They said it would have Android 2.2 but when I go to "setup" and then "about phone" and check Android version it says AOSP?
Kernel version(whatever that is) is 2.6.32.9
