Where to Buy
A feew months before christmas I started looking into tablets and found the ZT-180. I read hundreds of reviews of this product and watched many youtube reviews as well. So on November 26 I ordered this product with the promise of a 2 week delivery time from Merrimobiles. Well Christmas came along and still no Epad. January came along and still no EEpad. It had been over a month and a half and it still hadn't arrived. I had been calling regulary (2-3 times a week) and they wouldn't give me a straight answer. So on January 19th Ireordered the Epad but this time from PandaWill. The one I ordered from PandWill arrived 3 days later. Moral of the story....Merrimobiles BAD! PandaWill GOOD!

Battery Life
While reading the thousands of reviews of the ZT-180 I realized that the most highly criticized aspect of the Epad is the battery life. There were many horror stories of the epad only keeping its charge for 15 minutes but that never happened to me. The box the Epad came in promised battery life of around 3 hours. I find when I use it for games and internet browsing I get around 2.5 hours. When watching Movies also about 2.5 hours. The battery life may be a drawback to the product but in my opinion it is the only drawback and a perfectly fine sacrifice to make for such a great product at such a great price.

Resistive Touchscreen
Many people have said that the resistive touchscreen ruins the whole 'Tablet Experience'. No it doesn't. Whether I think this because the phone I have had for the past 2 years is also a resistive touchscreen, and I have just gotten used to it. Sure the ipad has a capacitative touchscreen, but it also cost $500. The resistive touchscreen is perfectly natural to use with this device.

Browser
Th Internet browsing on this device is amazing! The pages load quick, you can scroll, zoom, change font size, rotate the Epad for horizontal or vertical viewing, bookmark webpages, and minimize the browser and come back to it later. Overall the Browser is just as good as any computers.

Games
Games on the Epad vary by whether or not the game was designed for a tablet or a phone. The games designed for tablets work perfectly. The best example is angryBirds which I got from utorrent (read two paragraphs down). it works perfectly with the resistive touchscreen and takes up the entire screen when played. But when you get a game that was meant for a phone it takes up only 1/4 of the screen. Usually this is not a problem because the screen is 10 inches across and you can still see and play the game like you normally would.

Apps
Apps on the Epad work very well. Many came preloaded on the Epad and some I downloaded form android market(which is also preloaded on epads from PandaWill). My favourites are torrentfu(next paragraph), taskmanager, comic readers, ereaders, Word PowerPoint & Excel viewer, and many others.

Utorrent!
This is by far my favourite part of the Epad. I use utorrent almost daily and so to have a tablet that helps me use it is fantastic. If you have an Epad and you use utorent then you must get the App Torrentfu. This App let's you download and organize torrents from your home computer all on your Epad.
And for those of you who do not know what utorrent is I suggest looking into it. I got over 1,000 free games and Apps for my Epad from it which I downloaded to a Usb Jump Drive and plugged into my Epad. Its Awesome!!!

Movies
Movies on the Epad are crazy amazing. The screen is so big that it feels like your at a movie theatre. (Okay maybe not that big) but still watching movies on this is just fun. I watched I, Robot on my Epad last night and even though I had seen it before it was just fun to watch on such a big screen sitting in your lap. Of course I'm used to watching movies on my ipod video which is like 3 inches across.

Music
Music is also very good on the Epad. I usually keep music on a jump drive instead of downloading it to the actual epad so I can save room for movies nad other things. If you have an Mp3 player you will most likely still use that to listen to movies but for long road trips if your browsing the internet and you want to listen to some music you can with ease.

Pictures
Pictures are great to have on your Epad because you can set them as the background of the menu. Mine currently is a picture of my puppy dog Abby.

TF/Micro SD Card
This is Important! Depending on how many things you are going to put into your Epad you HAVE to buy an Micro SD card. I currently have a 16gb (or is it 18?) Micro SD card in my Epad which I use for movies, pictures, games, apps, and pictures. The memory of the Epad is only about 1gb so if you are going to want a movie watching, game playing, picture viewing crazy awesome machne then a Micro SD card is a MUST HAVE.

Keyboard/mouse/usb drive
The usb port on the Epad is what makes me love this product 20 times more than any other tablet (yes that includes the ipad). Theoretically the Epad has unlimited storage. Why you ask? Because if you buy 1 usb jump drive you can download things onto it put it into your Epad, watch a movie or whatever, go back to your computer put something else on it and plug it back into your Epad and so the Epad 's Usb port is the greates asset to the product. You can also plug in And keyboard(which is how I am typing this) and mouse into the usb port to use with the Epad.

Overall Product
Overall the Epad is one of the greates tablets out there. Its cheap if you find the right price (got mine for 179.99) screen is beautiful, menu, homescreen, and browser work like a dream. Battery life isn't perfect but if you keep the charger handy you won't even notice. Games and Applications Are fun to use and if you have Android market (Mine came preloaded when bought From PandaWill) then you're set for life. Movies are AMAZING with such a large screen in your hands. Music and pictures are both a nice thing to have with such a large screen for picture viewing and an earphone jack in case you left your ipod at your house (or something). And my favourite part of the whole entire Epad is the Usb port. It increasesyour Epads memory exponentially (that's a big word) and is great for use with keyboards and a computer mouse(/mice). This ZT-180 Epad is a Fantastic Product and Is easily worth any where around the $300 dollar mark. If you get it for a good price (watch out for scammers and fakes) then you're golden.

It is capable to run flash, the manufacture of the ZT-180 processor is in works with adobe trying to work it out. I have emailed them about this already and this what I was told anyway.

No, this device cannot run Adobe Flash. It could take 6 months to forever for this to work with adobe.

I received my Android 2.2 ePad a day ago. I tried ~12 different ways to load Flash -no way.

The WiFi antenna is awful, i have to be within 10 feet of the router. My laptop works over 50 feet away.

As it comes, it's setup like a cell phone. Many apps are setup to use GPS and crash on startup.

The screen is ok resolution, but awful contrast, the pad surface is cheap and almost impossible to type on. I got Android Market loaded, but many apps crash. It's been a day of try, reset, try, reset,...

I can't get Skype to work either. So what's the point of the camera?

I'm returning it. It's not worth $100 IMO.

I learned I really like the Android OS, and will likely get a decent android tablet in the future, but this device is a really cheap hack.

I have managed to install flash 10 on the ZT180 2.2 this morning by using the link from appbrain. I could not find it on the offical droid market place. It dosent look like a beta version but im not sure to be honest . Skyfire is also avalible for these tablets.

SO i managed to get flash onto my tablet but it seems not to work sorry to get peoples hopes up . any one else having the same prob:confused:

Same problem. Hardware is not supported.

Also, I can't more than an hour from the battery.

the only way i could /can get better battery life is turning off the wifi. then is it worth having the pad ? but as range goes i can take it upstairs no problem and still picks up my router down stairs.:o

You quoted me? we are both saying the same thing. Flash doesn't work on the ZT-180 chip aka ARM V6" yet". Sorry to hear your having so many problems with yours. Maybe you should try flashing the latest framework/image that is available and see if that helps. But calling it a cheap hack, mine is great. I take it everywhere I go now, it picks up WiFi great, battery life is just as they said it would be 3 hours WiFi on 4 hours off but usually it's longer than that. The resolution of the screen is great I have 4 HD/X264 movies on mine and they play flawlessly with a great piccture. As far as the "setup like a cell phone goes" well the rom is based off android 2.2 which is for a cell phone. It just a metter of time before the developers start making custom roms and kernels for it. Apps crashing, live wallpappers is the only app that has gave me a problem like that some apps wont work though becuase they need a 3g connection. But most apps work well. I installed ginger bread keyboard is works really well to type on. All in all I would say this product is a 8 from a scale 1-10.

Did you do the 'TXPower' hack to turn power down from 100% to 20% as has been documented MANY times over the last 8 months? This not only improves on battery life but also improves on WiFi reception...

Ok so today I did a little test on the battery with WiFi on with the 'TXPower' hack . Yesterday I started at 2:30 with a full charge and it went to 6:13 until it completely died, but that is me not using it just setting there. The next day with WiFi on and browsing the internet and listening to music and setting up my desktop page with apps, widgets ect. ect. I started at 12:00 with a full charge and went to 4:10 until it died. So in my eyes thats not to bad concerting how much I paid for it verse what it does.

^^

from 12:00 to 4:10 = more than 4 hours !!! it is so good

considering that you were : listening to music , browsing the internet , and the wifi is on at the same time ..!!

it's very good for the price .. and that's just what i need from this device ..

thank you so much .. you have been very helpful my friend ..

Hi Folks,

I get the error "failed to move application" when I try to move apps to sd card.

I appreciate that not all apps are moveable but have downloaded an app called apps2sd which tells you which ones can be moved.
Does the sd card have to have a particularly named folder for the apps?
I suspect it may be a file ownership/write protocol (forgive me if my terminology is wrong, used to work with unix years ago)
Does the sd card have to be formatted in a particular way for android to be able to write to it?
I can read from the external sd card.
(zt-180 epad has android 2.2)
Thanks in advance......

hi im having trouble getting movies off my external sd card does your zt-180 read it when you insert it ?/ or is their path im supposed to follow?

I bought the same ting and I wonder if you are having trouble moving apps to sd card? I keep getting an error says it failed. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I keep getting an application failed error when trying to move my apps from internal to sd card. I have the new Zenithink2 w/Android 2.2 and it has that option but isn't working. It is failing on all apps, even those I know is movable. Does anyone know how to get around this?

the charging thing...it comes with its on ac adapter "Brick" (9v dc)...and I am having a great time with mine...the only 2 things are adobe hasn't released a good flash so I can watch Red vs Blue on it and it only gets about 2 hours on a charge...aside from that you can use a KB and a Mouse with it(on a usb hub).
On the apps thing...did you try to install them to the SD card?

Does it work with Skype and Flash 10.1?
Zenithink US is now taking orders @$300. I'd be willing to pay $50 for a US supplier, but $110?

I bought one from them...get the KB/case and the extra memory(you have to call) I would rather deal with a us person...I havn't tryed Skype...adobe...not yet...that i have found. :/

I ordered my Zenithink ZT-180 from LightinTheBox.Com. For $179 I couldn't beat the price. I bought this as the Christmas gift from my mother who so generously gave me the money as my gift. The epad arrived Dec 23rd as promised, packaged securely and intact. My epad was new in the box and came with the advertised accessories. I must say I was quite surprised after reading all the posts. My epad worked right out of the box after I let it fully charge. Came with Android 2.1 and detected my wireless right away. Android Marketplace was readily available and I downloaded my first app successfully after reactivating my gmail account. I love this epad. Does everything I wanted it to and more. Best part of it, is that it is as good as my friends IPAD, but at a fraction of the price.

yesterday we got my gift at LightWithTheBox.com not in the box .
