Root ZTE Zmax Pro Official Root Discussion

someone help me my brother has a zmax pro and he doesn't root or anything like that he doesn't even know what it is because he's only 10 and his phone says he flashed software that was unauthorized and his phone is locked now with a white screen and a red exclamation mark

has he tried to restart. if that doesn't work factory reset

No.. that's the patch files Messi and a few guys here found in b12 OTA.. they need keys to mod the ota to flash via stock recovery.. or something like that.. I think it is still being worked on but no dice yet..

You sure he not a genius and have some dev knowledge.. back in my XDA days some of the best devs I got to work with were 15/16 with years of experience.. if he does get into recovery mode he can also try flashing OTA via SD card.
 
This sucks. I bought this phone for the specs and the fact that everyone in here was confident that we would get root based on the popularity of the phone. But i guess it's really a technical issue, if there's no root there's no root. Maybe with the update we'll get some new method

I think I already did, either in the old closed thread or the one we were talking about tethering in. I found it on Google fairly easily, on either here or xda. don't remember, and I don't know about 4k, even if you tried setting your dpi that way and it worked, everything would be so tiny you wouldn't be able to read it, even on this screen.
