facts? lol, i think you are confusing facts with opinions.Oh.. I Still Own The Zmax Pro..
GREAT little $39.99 <-- (Number Port) phone for me..
Does hearing The Truth hurt you in some way ???
Not discussing the issue is not going to make it go away.
I stated FACTS.... You.. are hoping for Fiction..
I would love Nothing Better than to be proven 100% WRONG.. and have ZTE "see the light" and allow bootloader access.. But They Are Not.
Sorry if the TRUTH hurts... My words don't carry ANY WEIGHT around here.. 90 asked a question and I HONESTLY answered it.. Not even Messi can crack the code... so, the only recourse is for *ZTE TO ALLOW IT*
If you don't like the answer that's not my issue..
But everything I stated is the truth.

and dude ive been following this thread from the start. i find it interesting and entertaining. but your name always jumps out (especially when you had your old avatar) of the 15 dumbest posts in all 60+ pages, you gotta be the owner of at least 10.
Thanks...facts? lol, i think you are confusing facts with opinions.

the best ones were when you first get a bunch of people riled up because they didn't feel the need to donate to messi device fund. also the one where you out of the blue tell everyone something like "its time to take a break, everyone stop working on getting root for a few days" it would be nice if the forums had a squelch button. since ive yet to see you contribute a single thing, and at the same time tend to be a hindrance.
I wouldn't mind having the original zmax again.Your Walmart will eventually get it.... But... it is here in ( *Cali* ) for $149.99 + Sim Package @ $19.99..
But.. why not get it for $39.99 like I did with Metro... Just port a number, and your good to go..
I then found mid ground doing light mods till we figure out root. Then I can do more.. it's now a hybrid HTC with blinkfeed.. colors are vivid.. I want root even more now..
It will always say the device has not been updated after a "B" update on ZTE and this is a known glitch. Any "B" update on Metro includes a signing key that has been modified by Metro at the carrier level. I am still talking to my people/ ZTE's people from Metro to try and get somewhere, I think swapping system and user partitions on the update.zip for the A7 is a good direction. Also, people.. please stop posting what % kingroot gets to. I can make it say 100% by rollling my clock back by 20 seconds. (manually setting time) which means that is not a real progress bar.
Dude... Nice!colors are vivid..
Oh Yeah...When i updated to b12 it gave me so many problems
Multi touch
Loss of 4g
Missed calls
Missed sms
I had to go get a warranty replacement i don't trust zte if they dont even test there software

Not sure what you mean exactly, but other manufacturers do in deed lock down their devices. Some have gotten better and allow us bootloader access, some had it and took kit away, suffice it to say there are definitely other manufacturers that do this.Just my two cents, but we have been complaining to the wrong company! Yes, it's ZTEUSA policy and theirs alone for disabling the boot-loader, not allowing an unlock and to remove fast-boot! They're is no other manufacturers at T-Mobile / MetroPCS that does anything like this to their boot-loader, but we don't have enough PRO owners to even get a response from ZTEUSA.
Just my opinion, but we are complaining to the wrong company.
Yes you gotta learn somehow, I was just saying that's one of the reasons that they are against rooting and flashing. If you royally screw something up, it would be hard to determine, in the space of time a customer will wait for his return, if it was modified or just broke. Gone are the days when a company can tell by stickers (think MS and Xbox360) if a device has been played with. Therefore a logical corporate response is to make sure it's as hard as possible to actually mess it up.Gotta learn somehow. Warranty void is there. I bricked a few phones in the beginning lol. The original zmax took awhile to get root. Is anyone in touch with @jcase from XDA?
Well not necessarily. I mean root has always been about hacking and exploiting. ZTE has done things to make this difficult. They could then make it easier if they wanted to. However, strictly speaking, It is possible to root and flash etc without the help from or blessing of the manufacturer.Do these last two pages mean unless ZTE plays ball we're never seeing root?
You Guys Are The Best Man!You do alot of hate man. Espionage lol
