Root ZTE ZMAX Pro (Z981) root discussion

I created/found most of those working root methods without having any of those devices but in the zmax pro case it's different , we still don't know a workaround to flash twrp plus there are important details missing about the boot.img that i can't create a working twrp without, i know the device fstab thanks to the first post of this thread , it's why i asked for a development device ... that's it

A little chatter is not going to matter one way or the other.. Until either Item #1 or Item #2's criteria is met, Root is not going anywhere..... So.. let's all chill on complaining about a little diversion that effects nothing...

So now i can create a twrp that should work successfully by about 80% (I'm not sure how you can flash it) .

Theres a dirtycow payload written to flash an image to a specified partition; which means that an eventual universal dirtycow-based root tool should be able to do just that.
Then again, I have no idea what would happen if you flashed twrp like that with this bootloader.

I have been here in AF long enough to understand the process. I have been able to READ,READ,READ and Read to make the right comments. Modding, rooting, opening bands and even able to get us into Free unlimited data WiFi-tethering in many devices... i knw my position lets keep our channels clear.... And thank-you for being part of the AF member. ;-)
 
Word is your a guru. I'm down. I'm elgindelta. You need a unit, my options without root are two fold. 1, I send my completely overrun phone to ZTE and allow 10 days minimum more like 21 IRL. And they send me back the same bloated crapfest that this thing is w/o root...

Or...

2, send it to an artist in the majik of rooting. I'm an artist in the majik of music. I trust artist, they know more than most and share more than boast.

I'm in California, where I got to send it? I'll pay for priority shipping. And keep the address redacted permanently. Trusting of course, that you will do the same with anything identifying on the phone when you get it. +(I will fdr prior to shipping obviously)

Here's the deal. You root it, I get it back.

I'll pay for the return shipping and have fed ex come to the door to simplify the process. However you decide to move forward after on releasing your work is entirely up to you. If that is agreeable, and you give your word to it. It will be sent no later than Monday.

Let me know, alot of good peeps waiting on this phone unlock. For good reason, an unbloated, 8 core snapdragon is a terrible thing to go to waste via hack crap data traps.

If it bricks, honestly. I don't see it as a loss. Effe not possessing your investment with absolute command. I'll invest in a one press rootable and forever waive off buying anything that I actually do not own. (Just don't be posting here that it did brick and the signature be all, sent from my Z981, lulz) If that's agreeable, PM me an address and your word, green light.
