Working on TWRP, need beer.

No can stop us now!
And how would we go about finding signatures and what not?
I can talk to the guys I know if a root zip is all we need if we can get it to go through stock recovery?
Just gotta get them to talk right is that what I'm gathering?
And to build twrp shouldn't be too hard no? Then we need to find a way to push it lol
Edit: could we throw that doc that's on the g+ page at them see if maybe if they see all those people wanting it maybe they'd do it?

@VerboE I got your beer... No doubt...
@NGD1 yeaperrr, someone need to find it, yes n maybe. All we need is a tester. (Me) .... Yes sure talk. To them. They need to be good with source.

Someone said in ftm mode adb works idk if that's enough but it might help

One friend suggested these two programs on his drive
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByY8uLVuRKD2czBoUTJtN0VkQ2s&usp=sharing
And as far as be seen yes adb can see our phone in from however fastboot commands of course are null

Yes like @NGD1 said adb its good n running from any usb connections except. RNDIS (USB ETHERNET). its not sticking. I was told that we need to set up sd as internal n use it as an external drive. (Harddrive) then it will stick. Nbyes fastboot is null that's why im trying to find if the bootloader its really locked or not. Difficult to knw when its has no keys or name to it.. i will try those drivers. To se what happens.

This its in Developing mode settings

Whether we get root/TWRP entirely depends on whether this phone becomes popular or not. I'm hoping this phone picks up traction, but not many people use MetroPCS... I'm starting to think we will probably not get root.. But that isn't a deal breaker for me. This phone does everything I need, without root! And that's something I can rarely say about phones, I root every device I can. For once I'm satisfied with what I have.

I agree that this phone is really good, even without root. But, you should know that a LOT of people use MetroPCS. At last count I think about 10 million subscribers. I could be wrong, but the last time I checked, MetroPCS had more subscribers than Cricket, Boost and Virgin.

Also, the original ZMAX was eventually rooted. And... there IS a slim chance that ZTE will update the OS because they're trying to revamp their image. I believe they are now the fourth largest provider of cell phones in the U.S.

At least they dont have the excuse that the snapdragon 615 doesn't support nougat, Qualcomm has already mentioned that it is one of the supported processors so they have no excuse other then we dont feel like it., Really i would rather have a cm rom based on nougat myself always liked stock Android better, but the zte rom isn't horraible skined so its bearable and there isn't a phone around that matches the zmax pro for the price(i paid 50$ because i was adding a line) even at 100$ the closest phone to it is one of the ones made by BLU and they have zero chance of getting a update and cost at least 150-200 to be comparable

Also off topic but does anyone else wonder why all the sites were saying the zte zmax pro had a metal bezel? Mine is clearly silver plastic(i had to scratch it to be sure though, it was hard to tell if it what it was)

Anyway, the only reason I have this console is because I picked it up for $40 at a thrift store. The BD drive doesn't work, that's really the only reason I even need Internet access, I'm fine with playing offline. Meh, I'm getting a new drive for it and jailbreaking it in a couple weeks anyway.

Ah OK. Anyway, anybody else been running into this issue?: My phone just randomly does things when it is locked and in my pocket. It will turn on wifi sometimes, or turn off data, or go to airplane mode, or a bunch of apps I didn't open are open... We need root, and we need custom ROMs quickly. I have a feeling these Chinese phones are pre hacked by the Chinese, and that is the only way to stop it.

Had no issues with that, but if you are not using a password, the stupid long press instead of swipe is way easier to set off in you pocket, also the quick settings menu in the taskbar is available on the lock screen, paired with power button that takes very little pressure it's possible that the quick settings menu is getting false touch input in your pocket. This is in no way a deal breaker for me since I only paid 50$ for this phone + the 25$ activation

Just curios to see if anyone tried this:http://rootoreviews.com/root-ZTE-Zmax-Pro-install-twrp-custom-recovery

I doubt that this works but I'm just curious highly doubt bootloader is unlocked don't know if you can use the unlock code generator or not just an idea have tested due to it being my daily.

I did root my htc desire 626s using htc's bootloader unlock on their website I dont know if zte has a similar thing or not.
That's a spam site. And that method is the most basic, obvious.

Never mind, the latest trick with ethernet IS working. And fairly well so far. It just took a couple minutes for the connection to speed up and do all the negotiating I guess My downloads are hauling a$$ now.
