Ok got u thanks. But I'm going to wait don't wanna screw myself outa root lol. Any advancement on the axon 7 zip?
Well decide for yourself about grabbing the update, sometimes they can close off routes for root. As for the Axon 7, These things are usually quite device specific, and we haven't overcome signing problems (which I doubt we will. if sha hashes and public key signing were compromised would be a huge issue, and hasn't been done yet) so it's not an issue yet.

Didnt that axon bootloader zip come from zte wouldn't it be signed with a different signing key if modded for our device we would have to change the keys to match our device
Any modifications would require re-signing which really isn't feasible. Also, even signed, It seems like a bad idea to try and flash a boot loader meant for one device to another.

I was going by the app going to 100 % giving a green check and saying your device is rooted. And no it didnt temp root i believe because it never stuck long enough to root check

Mine just went to 100% as well. But didn't stick smh. Perhaps and just pulling this out my a$$ when u close kingroot it loses root and maybe someone smart could try something via USB while kr is still running. Also are we getting to 100 on b08 and b12 or just b08? Idk this is pissing me off. Will never buy a zte phone again

We'll 70% now .. maybe b12 has more of a chance at root than b08.

I'm on b12 and only getting 70% on KingRoot. But even if KingRoot roots, we'll lose it upon reboot... At least I believe we will.

If u get temp root use flashify to flash twrp get a supersu zip from xda (chainfire's tread) boot into recovery and make a backup than flash the supersu zip should perma root you now that's only if u get temp root

I doubt flashify will support this phone or that there is a twrp for us. Besides I've used flashify before it wipes the system or it did for me lol

I'm pretty sure as long as u have temp or perma root flashify(hint root app) will work on any phone I've never heard of it wiping ur system. There is a twrp messi made a couple of weeks back

Oh OK thanks. I'm still thinking if it gets to 100 maybe root is gone when close the app instead of on reboot. Just maybe. And sorry I'm sorta not sure how u make a working twrp without root could someone elaborate

Hey all, here is my experience with temp root from the kingroot app on the Metro Kyocera Hydro Wave, just as a heads up on what to try/expect if you get temp root...
I killed that phone off (apparently waterproof doesn't include salt water) and now have the Zmax Pro and hoping for a more usable root....

so I have got kingroot to give me some kind of temp root, root checker sees it, TiBU sees it, root browser etc, even terminal emulator allows me to invoke su
BUT
I can't delete bloatware
TiBU can freeze but not uninstall, root browser says it deletes things but they don't go, and trying to remount on terminal emulator produces "mount: read-only file system"
so looks like what someone has said about it locking the system down is right
flash fire doesn't recognize root
anywhere to go from here? I don't mind to try things out just was really hoping to delete the facebook app and stuff
possibly run Viperfx stuff like that

hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687590 does this help us at all?

edit: okay so I have been able to remove a few things permanently, namely pinyin IME ,galaxy4 wallpaper andgoogle TTS confirmed that they are no longer taking up space in phone with root explorer
everything else has come back when deleted so now I have simply frozen most of it with kingroot and or TiBU
Facebook app I have tried to delete in like 70 ways and it keeps coming back, I have even tried replacing the odex file with a dummy and changing permissions and it returns undaunted
any other suggestions for clearing room on the phone??

edit2: pretty consistently able to get a temp root, seems to last a few mins then can't be redone without restarting the phone
adb can invoke su in a shell,
and I pulled a recovery and kernel .img using a program called Rashr, they are each 32mb not sure if that's useful at all
I tried going from kingroot to super sume but didn't seem to do anything but delete kingroot
BTW I am using kingroot 4.6.2 as mentioned in this thread earlier, seems to work better and more consistently than the latest version.
is there a SuperSU that doesnt require updated binaries?

Now if you're able to use terminal emulator with temp root could you try to replace kingroot with supersu following these instructions with this link I provided? https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/supersu-alcatel-5040n-5040w-one-touch-t3390075

But only thing is you would have to gain root from Kingroot 4.1 apk i don't know if you'd be able to tho
