Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

Yeah that's not my idea of a fix. But if google leaves this play services broken then I might revisit this idea. Piracy or not. Fix the broken app or I will replace it with whatever works. I will even go as far as delete google apps completely and add a third party app store.
 
Got us a new battery icon set. Green gb style charging color and white discharge coloring.

It can be used for way more than piracy, its a versatile tool
 
@Curtis1973 Leave it out, dont add any type of app store. Let it be a "side-load"ed instead. Otherwise there will debates about which app store is better and of course the ethics involved.

@bg4m3r piracy doesnt happen with lucky Patcher, you cant download paid apps you can only buy in app items. Blackmart and some of the other app repositories are where the piracy happens. Lucky Patcher is a tool (with amazing admin styled control). That would be like saying an APK editor is used for piracy (just laughable), wherein its being used to cheat by changing in app values. But I guess it comes back to what are you going to use any of the tools for in the first place (individual agenda/motive).
C'est la vie.
 
All great arguments for and against. After thinking about it I dont want anything that may even suggest piracy. The side loaded option is probably best. But if that's the route we take. Need to decided on what at least several alternative packages for users to decide on? I dont mind that. I figure what a standard google apps package,lucky patcher alternative and something like amazon?


Anyway while you all have beem hashing out ideas on that I almost have a good LGSystemUI theme done...battery done,wifi icons done and data icons leaving in the lte spark spinner but changing out the "LTE" banner with the AT&T 4G icon. Plus replaced a number of the standard notify icons. And settled on the black status bar. Will provide alternate color and design schemes for that.

The thing with the uno kernel is swap memory doesn't work and I don't know enough how to fix it. I tried poking around with the source and whatever I got compiled forced crashed with reboot everytime I switched on zram and swap. Maybe someone here could figure it out?

Edit: Swap memory works with stock so it's weird it doesn't work with uno since the source is based of stock.

Edit 2: I was using this when I wanted to run more intensive apps and when I ran a Linux chroot. It wasn't always active

Good question to ask @whoshotjr2006

I dont even use the swap at all, never really noticed any gains with previous devices.
 
Yeah you can change the texture. Its located in LGSystemUI/drawable. LoL no the name is superimposed by the system carrier function. I use it as s device identifier. Going to upload a universal of this for both roms to the op in just a sec. Version 1.
 
Of note: there is a few things i left out in the system ui theme. A few battery icons. Nothing youll notice unless you watch it drain diwn. Will fix them. Missed a few increments. But is very usable as is. Probably have it fixed tomorrow.
