Root ZV6 V.5 Stock Mod - Debloated - No Gapps

Universal VM fix doesn't help either? @HasH_BrowN?
I havent tried that, but my APN is set correctly.
I had MMS working, then I tried to send my wife a text with a pic and it didnt get received. Im on VM & she's DDR VM. Then I started reading we weren't the only ones. VM gave me a poor excuse as usual. I'll call back and see what complaining will do.

I tried 8SMS, Textra, and a few others. No dice. Its VM issue, I'm in Florida.
Hangouts was also not wanting to play right with SMS. I don't use it, but tried it anyway.

@Curtis1973 I hate they try to B.S. us with "We're upgading the system....blah, blah, blah". So they're upgrading the system across the country, that's business management at its finest.

I agree Hash. Besides. WHO takes WEEKS to add an upgrade in the way they described? We are upgrading area by area......not all at one time! Hmmm....

Universal fix has no effect.

Another set of Quick Settings icons today. HTC themed. These will be in the Stock variant of the rom and will have the standard stock background panels as well. Will upload roms hopefully before the weekend.

Is it possible to do a full wipe/fresh install with this one or just flash over the ZV5 base and update radio and then the ROM?

I suggest fresh wipe and flash of this along with the zv6 radio if you have not already used a zv6 rom. If you have then just flash the rom.

I just got the sb1 error when I flashed the radio and data, texts & mms, calls work so I'm not worried about it...The ROM looks & works great and you saved me from being bludgeoned by my girl who was being driven mad by the zv5 update nag for weeks lol so thanks for your time and effort OP & testers, you rock :) Just one more question, is the UNO Volt kernel compatible with this ROM?

Grab a screenshot of the error.

I looked and havent found anything relevant about sb1. Only thing close was about Samsung devices and using wrong .img file.

Edit: if I remember correctly, sb1 should be located at /dev/smb
Also did you mess with partitions or the structure of?

My girl is back at our house already now but I double checked everything and the ROM and data and WiFi appear to be structurally sound. I took a screenshot when I saw the error, I'll try to upload it later but I'm not overly stressed about it :)

Upload the screenshot when you can. If you came across the error, then others will too.
What did you do that could have caused it? How did you fix your "sb1 error" ?

I cleared data, system, dalvik, internal, cache in twrp and then flashed the v6 radio since I hadn't flashed the v6 update yet...flashed the ROM itself and then the update below it in the OP and then supersu for good measure. The error output came directly after I flashed the radio. I read up on it a little and even if the error throws there is no negative result.

Absolutely, thanks again for the hard work on this ROM.

always welcome. i enjoy it. its fun. trying to theme stock weather now with flex theme. also trying to get the full tribute style look for quick settings and the rest of the gui involved in that. a side note, both the Xperia and Stock themed systemui and this alternative are all interchangeable among the two roms. ive got stock to a point looks wise to make it just as good and alternative as the xperia mod. i may just retheme it altogether with an s5 look app icon wise.

Nice, I was wondering if the xperia themes in the place store would be compatible now? We were just looking through the play store and saw some pretty cool free themes. If not, no biggie

would have to try them out and see. a lot of the lg themes are not catergorized properly per device. stuff is just out there in a big mess. some work some donrmt.

Which version with gapps is supposed to have less ram usage and more performance? The Xperia rom or the debloated stock rom? I plan on installing a new rom on a family member's phone. She has a LG Volt and her phone seems vary sluggish over mine but that's probably because it has a pure stock rom. I initially went all in on Xperia because I wanted a light rom with a different theme over stock.
