Why are you trying to remove IPv6 modules? I don't see any benefit and it could break things, so doesn't seem worth the risk to me .

Thank you for detailed answer! I followed all your advices: created backup with TWRP and now downloading ROM zip file. I will edit it on PC.

Yes, I am afraid to crash my system. But I want to delete ipv6 module because I found some strange activity in my local network. I found that I use 40GB per mounth. It's too much, I only read a few article per day. And lost my battery very fast. I think, ipv4 is enough for me and more safe for my smartphone.

Now I search where ipv6 can be phisically located in system files.

I understood that at first, I need reset system in TWRP (complitelly delete all system files) and after that push "Install" button and choose my custom zip file with edited ROM. So..I will try:)

Factory Reset Protection

I'm a firm believer in all the anecdotes that the FRP doesn't stop the thieves: they connect the phone to adb.exe with extra code and somehow wipe out the FRP component of the system software--I used to toy with that in the days when you could and people were motivated to root the phone.

The only thing it does is catch the legal owner of the device off guard when he does a reset and forgets what he needs to do recover/rebuild after the reset.
that can't be done anymore using adb. there is no program that can do this. plus in order for adb to work you would need usb debugging enabled and most regular folks would not know what that is.

FRP is a very good security protocol as you are finding out. i do understand that it does hurt that very small percentage of people who forgets their account info.

the only thing i can think of is contacting motorola. Samsung has said that you can take any samsung phone into a samsung service center and as long as you can show proof of ownership, they will unlock the phone. maybe Moto has something similar.

Anyone else getting scam calls from "AT&T Support" on their home phone?

That's what makes it funny. Granny Edna is my favorite Kit character. Even though the same voice is used for Dawn DeWitt, Paula and many others. Same personality, same obsession with the mailman, etc.

When he goes full cosplay with the dress and wig, he looks a lot like Thelma Harper (Carol Burnett Show "The Family" and subsequent spin-off Mama's Family)

Accessories Download QR Scanner & Barcode Scanner app, check professional QR code and Barcode information for ph

Thanks for sharing about this QR & Barcode Scanner app. It sounds like it has a lot of great features and is easy to use. However, it seems like you're promoting this specific app as the ""only"" one that's needed, and that can come across as a little pushy.
Yeah, devs tend to want to promote their own apps, some more enthusiastically than others. It's all good. :)

This site won't load connected to new Wi-Fi service

I had to put a root CA onto all my machines since my router is from 2010 and pulling a lot of legit sites (including this one) would pull a 'This connection is untrusted' error and since I despise anyone trying to protect me from myself, I stopped that from coming up via a root cert hack.

BTW if you're using AT&T's awful DSL another error sometimes comes up for seemingly no reason. At work we still have outdated Uverse, and sometimes just pulling up Amazon pulls up the AT&T router page called 'dnserr.html' which tries to claim incorrectly that the internet is down. I had to put a manual DNS to 8.8.8.8 to bypass it. Apparently AT&T does their DNS requests via the router firmware and if something goes awry, the error page comes up.

porting old number to straight talk?

Sadly I've had my number so long just about everyone knows it and getting a new one would make life more frustrating than the 4 hours lost to port over my existing one. So long as I don't ever leave Verizon (and LTE never shuts down) I'll be fine. My cell is only used for MMS/SMS and music these days. Phone calls are made/received on my landline. Nothing is that important enough to call me when I'm out and about. It can wait until I'm at home.

No screen lock

Exactly: the purpose of the screen lock is to keep unwelcome people out of the phone. Though it might also help reduce unwanted "pocket dialing", rearranging of desktops, etc should your screen get woken with the phone in the pocket (it's easy for a notification to wake the screen) - though a flip case will prevent that more effectively.

But then how can you be sure you won't ever lose your phone, or have it stolen, or have a "friend" mess with it if you leave it on the table and go to another room?
I live alone and I always have my phone on my side in a case I pretty much work and home I don't go to friends home's enough to worry about it.

16:9 frame over a 4:3 screen in a smartphone to make 16:9 photos?

Yes, it in any case is a pity (in my layman's imagination at least), why not with the 16:9 setting in the phone just crop the top and bottom information of the (4:3) image so may be 20, 25 MP would be cropped and one had the 16:9 format wit perhaps 44 MP instead of 12 MP with that 16:9 setting in the phone.

If only I had always taken pictures with my phone in 4:3 format (if I wanted 16:9).

Yes, the digital zoom / tele really is not good, I guess. and yes, that is why I want a real camera (one for the pocket, without having to carry it with me separately) since some years. But I then ALWAYS would have to care about a furhter device, take it with me all the time (and the charger with cable if necessary).

Help I bricked my phone

Most likely you tried to install a file that was corrupt or for a different model of phone. The phone is bootlooping because its system software is damaged and it cannot boot.

I don't know ASUS devices, but you should be able reflash the phone from fastboot mode (it will require a computer and fastboot drivers, but you've probably got that already if you unlocked and flashed TWRP). I'd guess there will be instructions somewhere in the XDA Zenfone 3 forums, either in the guides or the ROMs subforum. I'd probably recommend finding a stock firmware package and reflashing all the way back to official software, then trying to work out what went wrong.

Switching Phone and Sim Invalid MMI Code

The issue with the invalid MMI code on your Samsung Galaxy 8+ after switching the SIM card from an iPhone 7 may be related to the settings on your phone or the configuration of your carrier's network. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Update the APN settings: Access the APN settings on your phone and verify that the correct settings are configured for your carrier. You may need to contact your carrier for the correct APN settings.

  2. Verify the SIM card: Make sure the SIM card is properly installed and not damaged. If necessary, try using a different SIM card to see if that resolves the issue.

  3. Restart the phone: Sometimes restarting the phone can resolve issues with MMI codes. Simply turn off your Samsung Galaxy 8+ and turn it back on.

  4. Check for software updates: Make sure your phone's software is up to date by going to Settings > Software update. If an update is available, install it and check if that resolves the issue.

  5. Contact carrier support: If the issue persists, contact your carrier's support team for further assistance. They may need to make changes to your account or network configuration to resolve the issue.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to contact Samsung support for further assistance.

Large button or icon for google microphone?

Yeah, HarryC.
Unfortunately that cannot be made larger.
As mentioned previously, you can put a icon or widget on your home screen that will open Google search...

For sure, but there don't seem to be any good simple ones. In any case as I mentioned earlier, the home button seems to be the solution as it also allows me to access voice search when not on the home screen too.

What is this file for?

But are those suppose to be some kind of account number for the ones that have numbers?
No those are not account numbers. Those are just system data related to the app's listed. Again i would not worry about them. It's all part of the os..... they are probably just cache files. You can probably delete it and it should pop up again......I would not though..... just saying.
