FYI the sites loads and displays no problems in Firefox on my Apple Macbook Pro and Samsung Note20 Ultra.

For about two weeks we have had the problem that Google / Android are rejecting apps for updates with the following statement:

We found that your app is not compliant with how REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES permission is allowed to be used. Specifically, the use of the permission is not directly related to the core purpose of the app.

Indeed, some of our apps had included this right in the past, but recent updates (for more than 6 months) no longer. We have checked and confirmed the current status as follows:

• Manifest controlled
• Searched all APK and plugins
• APK details in the store does not show this right either
• Display of the affected APK using "Sensitive Rights": all old beta versions which are not active

Unfortunately, all our objections and general support requests (also via other Google areas) are consistently ignored.

It is impossible for us to update our apps. Which is extra critical, especially with regard to requirements regarding newer SDK and billing API in two weeks.

How can we obtain help with the issue?

We're not a very small publisher, it's about apps with several hundred thousand installations.

Luckily, I found on the developer.android.com site, some information regarding the relationship between thest two things. https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/gradle-plugin?buildsystem=ndk-build#updating-gradle

And, on this page, I found this table which tells me what version of the plug-in I need.

So, where do I find this?

You can specify the plugin version, 7.4.0, in either the File > Project Structure > Project menu in Android Studio, or the top-level build.gradle file.
If the specified plugin version has not been downloaded, Gradle downloads it the next time you build your project or click File > Sync Project with Gradle Files from the Android Studio menu bar.

As for using a remote camera via another phone, or this "remote controller", no ideas about that. For my uses of tethering, is just to share my phone's internet access with another device, like a phone without SIM, a tablet, or a laptop.

It can be done running "TeamViewer". It is available on "Play Store"

I am very new to this , just used the TV app building inside android studio and added:
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WAKE_LOCK"/>
inside the Androidmanifest.xml . When I made an APK file to test it on my TV, as soon as the screen saver kicks in, it pauses the live stream and goes to screen saver.

Age old question and yes I did double check out everything, I have a few of my cousin's numbers thanks to my sister, since last time it was FDR and I did get my contacts back instantly..

But today I just did finished FDR it a while ago, and boom, it was like an odd thing together, so yeah I better not clean up my contacts via tablet from moto edge anymore..

This has always been a wi-fi only device for me, and has never latched onto a tower for service.

As of now, I am using it mostly for music in the car.
It was for a time my primary wi-fi device.
It is small and lightweight, so is better for long term laying in bed while holding it in the hand.

But the original battery is swelled now. I purchased a replacement over the summer and its date of manufacture is earlier than the old one, lol.
So this thing is on borrowed time.
Music sounds nice with it, it is easy to see and use, and I will be sorry when it does finally crap out.

I agree music through the headphone jack at any rate was excellent on mine (ok different soc etc). I bought this for a reduced stock £79 new in box at a click and collect chain. I had to send my Nokia to Hungary with DHL (I probably told you this before when I was someone else!) under a 2 year warranty for a new usb c port that had warped, and came back with a circuit board thingy also attaching the port to the motherboard.

The battery on my E6+ (same 3000 mah) is showing as like new (96% with the Accubattery I keep on this one). I leave it on all the time for receiving calls to a second number. If I hadn't bought a top spec Poco with 2020's top chip SD865 and a great OLED screen for £294 6 months later, I wouldn't have known any better and been happy with my E6 Plus (I think).
New (apparently) genuine batteries are still only about £7 here from various sites.

I like the way the back clips on around the sides, the weight and size, and I get a new Bing screensaver every day on this one and it's really impressive for an IPS 720p screen. The supplied tinted case is also excellent.

Ultimately the loading times, switching speeds, pin sharp color accurate screen etc has me loving the Poco more, though it feels twice as heavy at 220gms.

Motorola are starting to make good mid range and high end phones again (Edge 30 series) where I don't think their budget models competed on price since the G6 - G8's.

If when I win the lottery I'm going to try a whole bunch of budget devices that I think should be great for the money, give most of them away, keep one or two and also pick one flagship out of 5 or 6 from a shortlist.

Although you may have found a solution, do not give up on trying different keyboards.

There are many, many keyboards.

G-Board is not very secure, as everything you type (yes, EVERYTHING) is capable of being sent to Google- and they can do whatever they wish with any or all of this information.

Keep in mind that the keyboard is what you type every single thing into your device with.

So even if you are not using any specific Google app or thing, they can still see (and use) whatever you type at any time.

This includes your contacts, private text messages, messaging apps, social media, you name it.

Is one of you using an iphone and the other one using an Android?

I dont know about calls, but there have been problems with other connections between the two.

Like I saw from the link you provided, old customers will still find the app, but no updates.

New customers, those who have just found the app, will not be able to see the app at all unless you comply with Google.

That is why I would suggest making your app available on multiple app stores, so that you are not trapped with Google.

You can choose from multiple app stores.

Uptodown is great, and APKPure is also good.
If your app is FOSS (Free Open Source Software), then I would absolutely recommend you submitting it to F-Droid.

Mostly because of how devices use data in the background is my guess.

Also, your device may not account for some of the tracking, pinging, and other connections that the carrier does with your device.

OK, no MS PW. Each of my email accts have unique addresses, and each have a different PW. Both PWs and addresses are the same on the phone and on the PC. Originally, I did the setting up on the phone (sync'g Outlook and TB) and it worked. I don't remember how I did it, but I think it was rather automatic. So, if I get what you are saying, when I'm prompted to sign-in, I simply use the PW associated with the presently active acct?

Have you disabled that from the settings, or maybe you are on silent mode.
