Is there an app that would "trick" my phone into thinking that a photo is input from the camera?

Lol. I was literally just going to do the same post, not really knowing how to word it .

One option is to take a picture of another phone or laptop screen as someone mentioned above, yes. But I'm not sure I would get away with it in my situation.

Is anyone aware of any apps that can achieve this? As I need to do it to upload a picture of my driving license to apply for a couple accounts. It comes up with the camera app and that rectangle card shaped reticle that you must fit the card within.

I have lost my license and only have a picture so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can code but would prefer to use somebody else's hard work to do this

Does "adb shell settings put secure location_mode 0" reliably turn off/disable GPS?

The phone doesn't ping to GPS satellites, just receives.

What are you trying to achieve? As Danny says you cannot stop your network provider knowing your approximate location (unless you remove your SIM). For Google getting your location turning all location services off from the settings should suffice, though as a precaution you may want to turn off the app and Web activity logging in your Google settings (that records locations where apps were used, if they have that information) as well as location history. If you are worried about the security services hacking your phone and bypassing this then (a) you are almost certainly below their notice and (b) it will take more than an adb command to make that impossible.

Fast Notepad File Location?

Hi. I'd like to add to my post (and not edit it in case someone comes by this again after reading it and not notice the edit) that dan le:s suggestion doesn't work for me either because my Chromebook doesn't work the way described there - I only have three dots on the top right, and I can't switch between storage locations like that, there's no such option. The suggestion sounds more like it's meant for a phone, not a Chromebook.

What is the possible problem of my desktop PC?

Could be RIFA-madness, aka a failed, venting RIFA capacitor. Those are usually used for filters and aren't vital to the system functioning properly. However, I'd be looking for the bad one and unsoldering it from the board to avoid not only the smell but a potential fire hazard.

This YouTuber had a RIFA go poof on a monitor on video, yet the monitor kept going.

Help

Usually a phone only gets locked for a few reasons (assuming this is like a PUK or PIN2 lock)

1. Inserting the wrong SIM for the phone (wrong carrier, aka, a Verizon SIM into an AT&T phone)

2. Attempting to bring a prepaid handset to post-paid (most in-box prepaid phones sell super cheap but depend on being activated for a month or so on the prepaid plan to pay off the subsidized cost before they'll accept a post-paid SIM)

3. Using a feature phone from who knows when, locked to Tracfone (which runs proprietary software such as their 'airtime balance display') on a non-Tracfone carrier such as AT&T.

4. Entering the SIM PIN incorrectly 3-5 times. (usually this happens because user goes to security, sees 'SIM LOCK' and hopes it's more secure than the factory screen lock, and doesn't know the original SIM PIN which it will ask for)

5. Attempting to use a 'found' phone on your own SIM, which forces remote lockout (but that usually only happens at the Google account side, and it's called 'factory reset protection' and obviously doesn't involve such a hardware lock)

Help Two apps that won't restart

I seem to recall that Google changed a lot of Accessibility policies for Android 13 to cut down on apps which were abusing those privileges. I wonder if there are some further tweaks that the developers will need to do to make sure that their apps will continue to function.

I don't use any text expansion apps (I've found that defining shortcuts in the personal dictionary directly in Gboard covers my use case without needing any external tools), but I do use a few other apps that tie in to the Accessibility API - most notably my password manager, Bitwarden. I haven't noticed it stopping working after a while (or following a reboot) so wonder if it's using a different piece of the API or something.

It's encouraging that the Octopus Typing developer was able to reproduce the issue. Hopefully that means they'll be able to find and implement a fix.

My password app, Roboform, also uses Accessibility along with 9 others. On my phone, each app's information has settings under Permissions. One being "run at startup". Unfortunately, even with that Permission "on", Texpand doesn't restart. I also use the Google keyboard but because of what I do, I need more than Google keyboard can provide. I used to use Smart Keyboard Pro and that had the text expander in it. I got so use to it, that it is very difficult to do without it.

Phone dialer on lock screen

I have the phone dialer set as my left side shortcut on my lock screen, but every time I open it, it keeps opening to the keypad even though I have set it to "open to last viewed" screen. If I open the phone dialer from the apps list it opens to the recent calls screen, but doesn't when I open it from the lock screen. How do I get it to open to recent calls screen using the shortcut on the lock screen?

Help S21 FE Fingerprint problems

Nope. When i turn on the screen this allow me to unlock with my fingerprint, without asking any pin, pattern or password.
Problem is : when i touch the screen nothing happens, fingerprint sensor will not lit. I i turn on the screen, even if turn off after, then i touch the screen and i can unlock with my fingerprint just.
Sometimes the sensor will not respond to read when i touch screen. Like i have no fingerprint sensor, like is dead, nothing happen until i turn on the screen. After this will again work as should for a while

I try to be clear.
I have the screen off. I touch the screen, fingerprint sensor will lit and will un lock my phone. But sometimes touching the screen, wich is off, will not lit the sensor and sure will not unlock. But if i turn on the screen, with power key, and wait for screen to go off than i can touch again the screen, the sensor will lit and read my fingerprint and unkock my phone. Did i make myself clear ?

Root apps not working

The WhatsApp app is a third-party, user installed app, it is not a pre-installed app with restricted system-level permissions. So you have full access to all user-level apps no matter if your phone is rooted or it isn't.
Simply because you can edit a file using a terminal app doesn't mean your phone is actually rooted, all it means is you're learning how much more extensive a command-line interface can be. Or in other words, editing a file with user-level permissions does not require your device to be rooted while editing a file with system-level permissions can only be done with your device is rooted.

front screen wallpaper

I usually install the wallpaper directly from the gallery. Before I install it, I save the photo to the gallery, adjust the scale, and select the needed area on the image. There are several services with beautiful and quality wallpaper pictures.
yes but on the z fold 3 and z fold 4, you have to be on the either the front screen or you have to unfold the phone to have the wallpaper you want on that screen. you can't choose the front screen wallpaper when the phone is unfolded.

i mainly use zedge for my wallpapers.

Realme pro 7 is being seen as an audio device

maybe a cable going from mini usb (or type c, not sure what your phone uses) to hdmi and hook the phone up to the tv. some phones will not allow this kind of connection. the issue would be the touch screen. you can't use a bluetooth mouse as your phone is not paired with one.......unless you have a mouse that is paired, you are screwed there.

if that does not work, then your only options are to either get it fixed or get a new phone.
