App Inventor Java + JNI disassembly

I come from a Visual Studio background. I've built a few Android apps now, and I'm incorporating JNI into this most recent one. I've done this before on Windows and have been able to debug my JNI code with Visual Studio.

I am able to enter in to and step through my C/C++ code in the debugger that comes with Android Studio, but I am not able to view disassembly. And if my program has a bug and it crashes, it doesn't show anything in the Disassembly window except a blank screen (all white where the editor / text would normally be), and there is a current statement highlighted which is also on a blank line.

Is there some special trick to getting in to view disassembly from my C/C++ source code lines when I'm single-stepping through them? Is lldb not able to show the 64-bit ARM disassembly? Do I have to have my phone rooted for it to work? Or ... something else? I just don't know enough about this developer environment to know what I'm doing wrong. All of the searches I've done have not revealed any hints.

Thank you in advance for any help.

I have one game published on Google Apps: "Retro Tetro". And the app I'm working on now is a scientific calculator called EasyCalc. It is not released, but a beta apk is available for download on my website. If anyone's interested please ask and I'll post the link. It's still buggy, but it mostly works.

Reviews Revisit screen protectors

More specifically, Google can't guarantee that the UDFPS will function correctly with screen protectors they haven't tested/approved. It may still work fine (as with the Whitestone) but that's kind of up to the user to research and confirm on their own - and if you reach out to support about a UDFPS issue with a non-approved protector installed, the first thing they'll tell you to do is remove the protector.

I'm still super happy with the Whitestone protector on my P6P, but when most people ask me what protector they should buy I tell them to look at Google's approved list. That's just an easier recommendation to make, and I can make it confident that they won't have any problems using one of those approved protectors.

I certainly agree with Codesplice (if anyone cares) Using an approved protector is the safest way to go. My purpose was to add another one that has worked perfectly for me. I also wanted to talk about the Whitestone because IMO, it's probably the best protector around. It is the only protector I know of that actually bonds to the underlying Corning glass screen. That bond reinforces the screen rather than just protecting it from scratches. Whichever one you choose, and I'm a strong believer in using a screen protector, you will be adding a layer of protection to your phone.

what software is used to carrier unlock ineligible phones?

Out of curiosity, what checks do you plan to make to ensure that you don't end up fencing stolen phones? Because once you start talking about FRP removal there is a risk you could be used for that.

The obvious people to talk to about the tools to do this would be Samsung themselves, but I don't know whether they would help.
I don't think anything more than this needs to be said. :)

[GAME] [FREE] Zombie Escape : Run Or Die

Hi guys
I make a game on the topic of Zombie, hope everyone will support and help give good reviews for my game
Everyone plays the game and gives me suggestions to improve the game better and better.
Thank you very much

The game is not a zombie slashing action genre
The game is a kind of waiting and capturing the exact moment to move the character safely. Along with using support items along the way to kill zombies

Site issue on mobiles

I got an error of poor mobile responsive structure of my site on some android phones , but on others site has no issue . like on samsung site has a clear structure but some issues on other company android phones. what type of issue it could be.
you are talking about web design, yes? what phone are you using? what does the error say? are you coding the site yourself? or do you have something like GoDaddy?

Android Security Apps

There are literally hundreds of thousands of active exploits and compromises floating around the Internet and a lot of them are targeted at the Android platform now that it's so prevalent. But no matter what kind of PR statements the anti-virus/anti-malware providers may make, there is no such thing as any one of them that's 100% effective. At best you should expect a maybe 70% level of actual protection. Plus you have to take into account while some exploits are specific to Android, most focus on our online services -- our phones get more exposure when we're interacting with online, but it's our data that's in our various online sites that are always exposed (we have to go on faith that whichever social media sites we use are keeping our accounts safely locked down).
So pick any A/V app you like, and it may or may not actually protect you, there are hundreds of variable involved. (Odds are you should stick with the more popular ones, they'll have more active development and support and that's really, really important because exploits and malware are always evolving and getting more sophisticated.) When you're so lackadaisical on how you use your phone when interacting with the Internet, A/V utilities can't protect you from yourself.

Help PHONE HACKED, UNUSABLE

first off your phone is not hacked. people use that term way too much. what you have is something called adware. it is a form of malware.

here read this:
https://www.malwarebytes.com/adware

usually adware gets installed when you download an app. even though it comes from the play store does not necessarily mean it is clean and safe. you need to read the permissions and see what the app you want has access to on your phone. for instance if a wallpaper app wants access to your phone or contacts, that would seem odd and i would never install something like that.

to confirm that this is adware you can put the phone in safe mode. https://www.hardreset.info/devices/motorola/motorola-one-power/safe-mode/

this will determine if what is happening is from 3rd party apps or not. if you do not see any ads then it is coming from an app you installed recently. now you need to get out of safe mode and look at what apps you recently installed. start with the most recent and work your way down.

here are the steps:
1.identify the app
2.wipe cache and data for the app. this is found in your phone settings under apps.
3.uninstall the app
5.reboot your phone.

if that one does not work than you need to continue down the list of most recent apps installed. if you do not know how to find this, you can go into the play store and look into the "my apps" setting. you can then look for installed or purchased list.

a factory reset will work, but only until the app in question gets re-installed by you.....so it is important to identify what app it is and not have it installed on your phone.

good luck and keep us posted.
I tried to do a hard reset but was not successful resetting the phone.

I tried to do a hard reset but was not successfuil. I went to "Settings" as suggested & found a "list all apps" choice wherein I found the offending App & successfully ;deleted it which solved the problem. Thanks to all who provided advice it was all duly noted..

Phone won't start.

Force Restart your Phone.
Do a Hard Reset
Re-Flash the Firmware From Scratch
If you tried all the things to turn on your Phone and still your Phone will not start, go and visit the phone repair store in your neighborhood Or It might be time to shell out for a new smartphone if all else fails. If you are from the USA, I would suggest iFixScreens.

Ufed and fde , fbe encryption !

Well there are some mitigating factors to your paranoia on UFED
-- Cellebrite, the owner and developer company for UFED, only sells its product to governments and law enforcement agencies so any bootlegged copies someone does buy off of source like eBay will be unsupported and unlicensed. So simply because someone may actually buy the product, that doesn't mean they'll actually be able to use it. Possession doesn't automatically and magically add knowledge.
-- Of course it's a remote possibility someone (i.e. retired cop) who has worked with UFED in a work setting and knows how to use its various modules will buy a copy and go out in the world snapping up people's phones to extract data, but that's something that's more prevalent in TV shows and movies. Here in the real world if you're really so fearful there are people lurking around and waiting to get your phone, it's time to stop using it. Remove the SIM card and any microSD card, go into Settings >> Accounts menu and delete your Google account, then do a Factory Reset and destroy the phone with a hammer.

Personally I think you're being too apprehensive on this matter and should just ignore all the fear mongering in the news media and such. Yes there are some really moronic people all around us who have no problem using something like a bootlegged copy of UFED to exploit others, but their numbers are really minuscule. Just be sure to always have a lock screen enabled when you are out in public, don't leave it just sitting around unattended, and stop letting other people borrow it.
Thank you

Phone contacts on SD Card storage. (Waiting for new phone)

Well any previous postings I made were based on the postings you had made so anything before the revelation you don't have a good WiFi no mobile data connection takes priority. At this point, I'd suggest you have somebody who is tech savvy to look into the matter as setting up something like syncing contacts should NOT be such an arduous task. Diagnosing anything over an online help forum with only some necessary info is a problem when there are relevant details in question as opposed to just a quick hands-on evaluation of what is and isn't working that might be the source of the problem -- i.e. at this point it still needs to be determined if your WiFi connection is working (are other apps and services working out OK now?); when viewing your Google Contacts list is all your data showing properly (phone numbers in the phone number boxes, email addresses in the email address boxes, etc.); are other Google services syncing or is it just Contacts?

Oh as for what you're perceiving to be a contradiction, it's not a matter where you need a lot of bandwidth to sync something like Contacts listings, it's just text data. A 1Mbps connection is quite adequate. In contrast, watching high-res streaming video does require a good amount of bandwidth, typically 25Mbps or more. So you do need a stable, reliable online connection for anything as fundamental as contact syncing, but it's also conditional because different tasks require very different amounts of online access speed.
