Help…my deceased fathers evil gf hacked fb and I need in his phone to lock her out

Condolences on your father passing away.
But you've got a real problem as far as your father's Facebook account -- if his ex girlfriend did change the password and you're now locked out, it makes no difference if you can or can't just log into his phone to use the Facebook app on it. The app will still be set to auto-login using whatever was the old password, before she changed it. You would need to re-enter that new password to authenticate access to his account.
So you've got a multilayered problem
-- Bypassing the lockscreens on his phones is not going to be easy. Unless you do run across the PIN he used, perhaps he wrote it out somewhere, the odds are you're not going to be able to log into either phone.
-- Apparently his ex girlfriend has opted to make this sad matter much more complicated than it already is. You might have to consult with a lawyer about your status on this issue. Unless there is a will stating otherwise, you being a direct family member have much more standing than she does.

Moto g3 duplicating photos in internal memory & SD card

Thanks for all this, one thing that I have managed to do is free up some space by disabling onboard apps that I've never used - so that's helped make it run a bit better!

Something I have just found out: I went into the file manager and looked at Internal storage to see the different usages, then select 'images' so it brings up the 3650 photos that seem to be duplicated from the SD card.
I selected one I didn't need to keep and deleted it. Then when I checked for it on the SD card it had deleted from there too.
So it's almost like the internal images is showing a mirror of the SD card ones - they're the same set of files registering in both locations.

On your other suggestions, I couldn't find any folders with black/blank images to delete. Also I don't have any photo or video editing apps aside from the basic editing in gallery.

I have installed the CPU app which shows me the total used on each storage type, but won't seem to give me a breakdown of how it is used.

Thanks again

Firewall not allowing local connections

Anything using a VPN thingy seems to block the connection between the PC and the phone via wireless (I'm not sure which one initiates the connection). But I've managed to root it and put AFWall+ on it (recommended by the author of Boinctasks who is very helpful), which has a nice list of tickboxes for all the apps, allowing connection via wifi, 4g, wifi local, 4g roaming, etc. So I just restricted absolutely everything except Boinc, and it's running happily.

Android boot looping to Recovery Mode but not opening it

Go into fastboot mode (or download mode, either way it's part of the bootloader) and you can use fastboot (app you install on a computer) to flash a TWRP image. Obviously it must be the right image for your phone!

The other option is to reflash with stock software, though if you do that it will overwrite both TWRP and any custom ROM you installed.

Apps Android App Development Considerations

Hi All,

We are new to app development so looking for feedback from the community. Some of the questions may be stupid so please bear with us. We are planning to build an application that will be highly data intensive and used by large number of users simultaneously (hopefully).
Questions.
1. Is it always better to build native application or cross platform development frameworks like Xamarin works pretty good as well. We have limited budget to trying to reach as large customer base as possible before we have enough budget to build individual platform native apps. Thoughts!
2. What % of people in US and world wide use android based devices (so we can figure what platform to first build for)
3. Are there back end architecture available for highly data intensive and scalable apps that someone can point to so we can use that as reference as we are building the app.
4. Any other gotchas or considerations we can keep on mind as we build our application based on your own experiences.
thank you for your feedback!

Android Startup Gets Stuck at the restore function

[GALLERY=media, 1469]Screenshot_20220123-121212_Data_Restore_Tool by Cant_back_it_up posted Jan 23, 2022 at 5:58 PM[/GALLERY]

I factory reset my phone and went to restore it from a backup and now when I click the next button, nothing happens.

Any advice on what the issue is. Or any help in a way around this. I cant seem to figure out how to download the backup either.

Apps Compass app with USB OTG connectivity

I need to obtain the compass heading for a hardware project. I thought it would be simple to obtain compass heading from an Android phone via the USB OTG port or via Bluetooth,

Is there an Android compass app or any other app that can transfer compass direction via USB OTG using serial protocol, say at 100 readings per second? Or maybe the same data via Bluetooth serial?

Is there a compass app builder who would like to add this feature to their compass app?

Thanks in advance.
