Help The phone writes that there is not enough place, although it is full there. What to do?

Thank you very much for your reply! Friends came to me and helped me solve the problem. I will try to describe the solution to the problem, maybe someone will need someone. Clear the cache for the Play Market application, you can do in the phone setting. Perhaps because I work best custom writing and I install and remove a large number of diverse applications for work, the cache overwhelmed.

never drain the battery to 0% or charge to 100%?

I have had phones since they had Ni-Cd batteries.

Then came the Ni-Metal Hydride.

I actually like the Ni-Metal Hydrides, they had an outstanding lifespan.

Probably why they quit making them.

Well, that and the Li-Ion pack.a ton of power into a small size.

What you have read over time is probably all correct, in the time frame that it was written.

All of these battery chemistries have gone through changes over the course of the use of each one.

What I have told you is just what I have gathered most recently, and from my most recent devices.

Recovery instead of getting stuck?

The tutorial has received a rating of just 1.3 and following it would require disabling virus protection on computer so I'm not going to try it out.

Thanks anyway.
Well you'll still need to do what gets explained on that site (sequence of steps using the indicated buttons) in order to get into your phone's Recovery. Whether you do or don't actually connect your phone to a PC to use that indicated utility isn't a requirement. Your posted query referred to Recovery Mode for your particular phone, focus on that instead.

Apps Android Studio

Hey guys;
I was wondering is it possible to add custom pallets to Android studio ? i want to create a custom view and be able to drag and drop my custom view component to the new projects i am making .

Also if the custom pallets is possible, is there anyway that i can download some useful ones like customized card view to simplify development and save time ?

Android studio rename video file in internal storage

Hi All,
I am a complete newbie to android development. I have created an app which takes a 5 second video and stored it in the phones internal storage. The path is shown as "/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/camera" . However I cannot rename the file to a customized file name through code. I am doing the following in my code (assuming filename is the String containing the .mp4 file name:

File dir=new File ("/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera/");
File fromfile=new File (dir,filename);
File tofile=new File(dir,"myname.mp4");
fromfile.renameTo(tofile);

What am I doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated
Thanks

Help Water damage and phone has secure startup

That plan will not work: the phone's storage is encrypted, the reset will erase the encryption key, and then it's game over as far as recovering the data goes.

If it's only the display hardware that isn't working there may be a way of unlocking the phone. If the touch layer is working you can try to do it blind, though if it supports some sort of wired casting (e.g. USB-C to HDMI via an adapter) then mirroring the display to a TV or monitor will make that easier. If the touch is also dead then it may be possible using a mouse or keyboard via the USB port, but you could not see what you are doing and actually do it at the same time. I have managed to unlock a phone in this state and get data off it by swapping between mirroring and controlling, but it takes time and patience. For getting past the lockscreen PIN I found using a keyboard and practising on a device with a working screen was the way to do it.

If you can unlock it and want to get data off you will need to be set up so that you do not need to change USB connection modes when you connect it to a computer. May be OK if you have already done this, or already authorised adb. Otherwise you can set the default USB configuration in the developer options, but if you haven't already enabled that there is another hurdle there.

I doubt it's the actual SoC that's damaged or the phone wouldn't boot. But this is a tricky one, and I would try to solve it without hoping that data recovery will work (because most of the tools you find advertised on the Web don't work anyway, never mind the encryption problem).

Hi Hadron

thank you for your response!

So my screen does in fact respond you are right. I managed to switch off the phone and start it up and switch it off again by choosing options on screen. however I struggle to make the pattern to start up. And I know there is only 30 tries so have no idea how many tries I have left.

I will get another G8 and set up the same pattern on startup and put my phone next to it so I can basically try and mimic the pattern on the off screen and see if I manage like that. I will try that a few more times then if I do not succeed I will try another option.

thank you once again

regards

PinePhone Pro

From their website:
https://www.pine64.org/pinephonepro/
If you depend on proprietary mainstream mobile messenger applications, banking applications, use loyalty or travel apps, consume DRM media, or play mobile video games on your fruit or Android smartphone, then the PinePhone Pro is likely not for you.

That's some of the things I do with my smart-phone, plus mobile payments, public transport payments, Covid QR codes, etc.

On the other hand if you wish to run full-blown LibreOffice or something on your phone, then go for it. :)

Help Phone doesn't ring, can't attach files.

Are you using the stock built in apps?
Have any of them gotten updated since before you had the trouble?

Also, this is a dated device, and providers are quickly moving to LTE service.
So if this device is not compliant, be ready to get a new device quickly.

In the mean time, have you tried third party apps?
https://www.simplemobiletools.com/
Simple Mobile Tools has a great collection of apps that replace the stock (usually junk) apps that come with a phone.
(I replace all of the stock apps as soon as possible on all devices, and Simple Mobile Tools is my goto for this.)

As far as the other issues with attachments, how much empty storage is empty on the device?

A good rule of thumb is to always leave the same amount of open space as there is RAM on the device.
Generally, this comes out to about 70% that you can use.
(Not counting any SD card.)

This gives apps room to grow as you use them (they shink back a bit after a time) and for them to work properly.

The idea that clearing some data helps for a short time may be a clue that the device is too cluttered in general.

phone doesn't always automatically exit do not disturb modes as scheduled

I don't foresee a problem with notifications since they are only turned off for that particular alarm. But just in case it is, I checked into the settings to see if I could record a personalized alarm sound and it turns out that that option isn't available on my phone. However I did notice that there is the ability to adjust the volume for each separate alarm, which can be set all the way down to zero. I figure that should achieve the same intended result if these current settings don't work the way I want. Only time will tell. Thank you for the suggestion though, I do appreciate the input.
