It's not something that's technically required, so the carrier would have to add a check to their system to block you from using a different IMEI, which is either simple control freakishness or a deliberate money-making scheme. It's probably a control thing. But I think enough people complained because you're supposed to be able to do it yourself through their metro app now.

Yes, this is true.
But if you have ever used any of them, especially when dry (which is inevitably going to happen with eyewear eventually), you will see particles left behind.

I have actually gotten these 'micro fibers' in my eyes, and it is quite a miserable experience.

That is why I do not use the microfiber for eyewear.

Thin, clean, white, 100% cotton cloth is the best, especially when the lenses can be wetted with plain water.

Android 11 - Remove lock screen or place apps on lock screen

I have tried to look on the internet and cannot find a method for Android 11 and none of the other methods work on my phone.

For some reason, Google decided to protect this feature. Once you activate the pin screen lock, you will not automatically see the option to remove it. You need to double-tap on the Pin option to be prompted to re-enter the pin and find the main menu where you can select either none, swipe, pattern or pin again.
