Charging

That is fine.
Slower charging is preferred, because it is better for the battery.

Fast charging shortens the life of the battery.

The slowest charge would be from a USB port from a computer or a laptop.
It may not carry enough current to charge and use the device at the same time, and will be incredibly slow, but build up a negligable amount of heat.

Normal charging, 'preferred' in your case, is a standard rate that will charge while the device is used, and should build up a nominal amount of heat.

Fast charging builds up a ton of heat, and charges quickly- although not always thoroughly.
This will wear the battery out quicker than the other charging speeds.

Play Store Missing From Phone

Nothing changes the dact that any anti virus junk is absolutely worthless on Android.

It does nothing but slow a device down.

In fact,, it is one of the first things I look for when someone tells me that their device is laggy, slow to start, or generally sluggish.

Just because a company claims that the information collection/sharing can 'be turned off', let Google serve as a perfect example as to why this is not to be trusted.

Antivirus apps actually leave your device MORE vulnerable, because of the intimate permissions that you must give away in order for it to 'work'.

At the absolute minimum, if you just cannot stand to be without an app of this sort, then try Sophos.

Not only has it beat all the others in testing, it is also free.

Looking for a day/date widget.

I've used SD Digiclock by Silent Designs for years. You can choose what colors you want the day, date & time displayed, and what size font (different size for time & day/date is possible) and how opaque you want it all to be. I like white characters with full transparency so I can see my homescreen behind it. It is just a widget & very easy to use.

Different ring tone for contacts and non-contacts?

i found this:
Group Ringtone

from the decription, this sounds like what you are looking for:
Group Ringtone automatically sets the custom ringtones of your contacts based on the group membership of each contact. So now you can also use Google Contacts to manage your ringtones.

Group Ringtone also supports a default ringtone for all your contacts. By setting the default ringtone different from your phone's default ringtone, you can have different ringtones for stored contacts and "unknown" (not stored) contacts.

Hook up Samsung to flash drive

Apparently the A02s does not have the feature. That isn't surprising as it's a cheap phone (less than $55 with tax at walmart), but still a little disappointing. I wonder if the Stylus has OTG.
do you have usb debugging enabled?

and maybe try these steps:

Moto One stopped reading all SD Cards

One thing I can tell you is that a factory reset will not revert you to Android 9. All it does is erase the user storage, i.e. any apps you installed, any update to pre-installed apps, and all of your settings and data (including photographs, messages, etc). It does nothing at all to the system partition, so will not undo any system updates. The fact is that when your phone receives an update that overwrites the previous system, so it doesn't actually have a copy of Android 9 any more that it could revert to.

Of course a reset is still a hassle: you need to back up anything you want to keep, and you need to set the phone up again afterwards. But you don't need to worry about undoing system updates.

I don't know this device, and don't have any real suggestions for fixing it. You could try booting into Safe Mode and see whether that helps: Safe Mode disables all user-installed apps, so if the card works in that mode it would suggest that one of your apps is the problem. You could try going into recovery mode and clearing the system cache (if you have that option: newer phones tend not to). I assume you have already rebooted the phone a few times.

OTG FAT32 format

If you are rooted AParted is supposed to be able to format large SD cards to FAT32:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sylkat.AParted

Ok thank you. I don't root my phones anymore. But I can understand the app needs a rooted device.

As I suggested, this might be the software he uses on his Mac that mixes up the formats (even if MacOS supports exFAT). An stock Android firmware can't format in FAT32 large SD cards unfortunately.
