Apps Debugging Google Play Purchases

I have a task to upgrade an app to use the Google Billing API for allowing the user to purchase a one time premium item for a small amount. The documentation on the code was pretty clear and I implemented it, but I was told that it doesn't work for new users to buy the product (and somehow existing users lost their premium status, but that's something else).
I have to look further into that, but I still dont get how to test the purchase flow while debugging the app from Android Studio. When I try to purchase, Google tells me that the app version is not configured for Google Play payments.
I think that I've already configured myself as license tester in the Google Play Console.
Can anyone help?

New App: Protectile - An Endless Runner (Version 1.1)

Funny notes:

  • This was my second android game, a few years of a delay due to lack of interest/time
  • After I had published it, I realized I left the launcher icon as a default one. Amateur hour :rob:
  • Google reviewing it initially took about 5 days ( 2 on the weekend, but not sure if it matters)
  • All my patches after release have taken about an hour or 2 to review, so pretty quick to patch!
  • This is actually the 3rd patch, as my friend screen-shotted it on his phone and pointed out something that made it unplayable :oops: - I believe this has been resolved.
  • The math to bounce the laser is actually quite high-level and can be found in University level Alegbra ll... but you can also just find it on the endless tutorials out there :D
  • I hope to use it to create a puzzle game.

Cheers!

Legion Watch Face

I've used the same watchface for years, simply because I couldn't find anything to match its timeless style, classy presentation of information and customization options. If this is everything you say it is, you may have stolen me away from it. Very nice!

EDIT:

@Thomas Hemetri I sent an email to you, via developer contact, with some suggestions for improvements. Hopefully they will be implemented soon.

[Working] Bootloader Unlocking on most Qualcomm ZTE Devices, /Devinfo partition modifiation

Hello all

a very interesting post i came across here and i wonder if this may help my issue

my wifes mobile phone is an Asus Zenfone 5Q ZC600KL X017DA the issue with it will flash up powered by android then the Asus logo will appear and its stuck on the logo i have tried the usual hardware keys to get into factory reset but no options show up other than going into CSC fastboot mode

have tried a number of firmwares for this model phone seems to be so many of them for this model and in fastboot mode they all fail they all show up an error write protected apart from the last firmware i downloaded that will say cannot flash in locked state

when checking some device info it will say bootloader is locked so i assume thats why i cannot flash via fastboot

i have tried using Qfil but i am always getting errors like i will give last line before the error and then the error message

12:25:26: INFO: Reading through sparse file 'system.img' and pulling out relevant header information...
12:25:38: INFO: File system.img is a sparse file, being split up into 7980 separate XML tags

error

12:25:41: {ERROR: StoreXMLFile:8890 2. Too many XML files in XMLStringTable, max is 8000

someone suggested shortening the firmware folder name and placing it on C dive same with the Gfil both have done but still the same error

my goal is obviously to get the phone flashed and running again so if anyone has any information on the flashing process using Qfil and how to resolve the error above i would much appreicate it

but as this topic is about unlocking bootloader and might be an option i am looking to do if i cannot flash via Qfil i wonder if the above instructions would work the same way with with the model phone i mentioned if not then any solution would be great at least keep the wife from chewing anymore of my a$$ off hahaha

many thanks

video editor that can cut the middle part of a video

I used movavi in past. Marketers feel more positive about the return on investment offered by video than ever, as it continues to strongly influence traffic, leads, sales, and audience understanding. Video is more interesting for me too. I apply to this guys https://darvideo.tv/ because needed to create video about my game for smatrphone

Movavi is difficult to use, and has a watermark.
Watermarks are hideous and not an attribute for professional results.

Not only is YouCut simple to use, the free version also has no watermark.

Hello I was wondering if there is any way as a parent you can check your children’s device usage?

I use google family link (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.kids.familylink) to keep track of my son and manage his phone usage and what apps he can install. You can control how controlling you are, depending on how much trust you have.

Help to change the execution rights on a Galaxy Tab

If your device is rooted and flashed with something that doesn't quite work, and you can't otherwise make it do what you want, it may help to "factory reset" it by flashing it with the original Samsung firmware. I'm not sure if you can get that from Samsung, but lots of sites claims to have it:
https://www.qwant.com/?q=samsung+firmware

Here is one such site, which also has a procedure for how to go about it:
https://samfw.com/firmware/GT-P7510/ROM
It's old stuff and the link they have to the Odin tool is gone, but I think this is it:
https://www.ydfile.com/file/odin/Odin3_v3.14.4.html

If it doesn't kill your device, it might get it working again :p

Thanks, the links are useful, but in this case the issue is not that the system does not work at all, there are some quirks but overall it's ok. As I said in the other reply there is probably a problem of file ownership

Help IMS registration status it says "Not registered"

I have the Note 9 SM-N960F exynos I had mint mobile I decided to switch to TracFone I picked the AT&T sim card. I activated it on Friday it took a few hours. Mobile data worked, but couldn't make phone calls. I looked in the sim card status in the IMS registration status it says "Not registered". I did a network reset it worked until yesterday it said the IMS registration is not "Not registered". So I ended up reflashing the bootloader and modem and the Alexis Rom custom rom it worked until today. Is it my phone or is it AT&T not supporting the phone?

"exynos", so I assume it's an imported phone you've got there. Because Samsung usually supplies Qualcomm Snapdragon phones in the US, not Exynos. And from what you've described it could be a compatibility problem with the carrier, specifically it may not support VoLTE with TracFone. Along with the "Not registered" message.

It maybe worth you enquiring with TracFone's or AT&T's customer service, see if they can suggest anything. Apparently the US carriers are turning off their 3G networks, so you must have a phone that support VoLTE, otherwise it won't be able to make phone calls.

Apps startLocalOnlyHotspot setting with custom SSID and preSharedKey

I am making a simple application where I want just :

  1. local hotspot with no internet need
  2. custom SSID and preSharedKey , not that "AndroidShare_XXXX" stuff
I settled minSdkVersion and targetSdkVersion to 20 so it can enable geolocation permission for the current app.
Then I was trying to set custom SSID and preSharedKey but seems it won't change.... is there any possible way to set them ?

I have read also Android sets up hotspot with this function public static WifiConfiguration generateLocalOnlyHotspotConfig(Context context)... maybe is it possible to create someway a wrapper of this function to force settings as you know?....

Any direction would be really appreciate! Thanks a lor in advance to all! :)

Help Gmail and Google Fit icons?

I don't think that is Google Fit. It's not installed on any of my devices, but whenever I've seen the icon the heart has been upright rather than tilted through 45 degrees and there's a bar across the left-hand lobe (it always looks a bit like a folded paperclip to me, though I doubt that was what they were going for).

The trouble is that there are so many different apps, and so many different types of apps, that use heart notifications that unless you get lucky and someone knows that specific one it's very hard to search it up. It may be simpler to just ask the person in question.

Android Studio err: "an error occurred while trying to compute required packages"!

what were you doing when this error occured? why did you uninstall android studios and re-iinstall it? were you getting a different error?

just remember the more info you give us, the better we can help.

I was in the process of installing Android Studio from the .exe file on the "bin" folder I extracted from the package I downloaded, the first error I got was "Unable to access Android SDK add-on list". After that, I got another err "you must download the necessary components".

After setting the directory location for the files to be downloaded, I received this error. Though the error exist, I can still press "finish" and moved forward.
However, when I want to create a new project I get a "Your Android SDK is missing" err (I have the sdk commandlines downloaded but don't know where to put them!!).

Finally, when I open sdk manager, I get "Android sdk location can't be at the filesystem root" err.

I uninstalled Android Studio because I couldn't find a way to attach Android documentation to a project I was working on (which should be attached by default!!). An internet answer guided me to reinstall the software and download all the recommended tools (which apparently didn't go well).

I hope that was explanatory enough. Thanks in advance for your help :)
