creating URL on tablet startscreen

Thanks for reaction. Tablet is rather old (Samsung Tab S2) and Android 7.
Can you check whether it is possible to have a startscreen link with the following URL:
https://news.google.com/topstories?hl=de&gl=DE&ceid=DE:de
It should give German news.
In my case it changes to Dutch news (tablet language is Dutch).
Another example is:
https://aquaforum.nl/forums/vijvers.35/
The startscreen link does not directly give the "vijvers" page but leads to the homepage.
I am curious whether it might be possible now with higher Android versions.

Keeps Booting into recovery.

how did you flash a custom rom without twrp? what rom was it? if you can get to download mode you can use odin to flash a firmware update specific to your phone. go to https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ to get the firmware and odin to flash the update. instructions will be provided by the site on how to use odin.

once you get a working phone again....you need to slow down and read as much as you can about twrp and how to use it as well as the custom rom you want.

and the very first thing once you get twrp installed make sure to do a nandroid backup.....save it to your sd card and keep a copy of it on your pc.

Doogee N20pro TEE/Google key not write

do you have a custom recovery? if so did you make a nandroid backup? was the rom you flashed made for your phone?
no i could not flash any custom recovery thats why full backup was too difficult to make, therefore i have proceed flashing GSI with just stock rom as backup downloaded from web.

I need extracted nvram from Doogee n20 pro and attestation key.

Help Notifications not shown anymore when display off

I don't have this device, but I'd check your always on display settings (also called Ambient Display) or lock screen (which, on my Pixel running Android 11, is where this stuff is now rather than in a separate place).

But I'm not expert on this: I decided that I didn't care for always on displays (and that the little icons weren't much use to me) and turned it off 4 years ago. But my phone is old enough that I still have a notification LED, which I always found more useful but which manufacturers have decided we no longer want (and, as is often the case, have all followed each other so there is no choice in this available any more).

Phone shows "no internal storage left"

As an avid user of 'poop' phones, let me toss a wrench into this mix.

My devices are no better than yours, as far as specs go, and yet I am not having these issues.

You say that the apps you have on the device have no real important info, correct?

If so, this is good.
Because what I am going to suggest is the installation of at least one app, and possibly more if need be.

All that you need to free up is about 30MB for an app that should work great on your device.

So pick an app that you can easily rebuild, and remove it to make some room quickly.

With any luck, you will gain loads of space and be able to put the app right back again.

Luckily, I can provide a link to an older version of an app that I use- that should mesh perfectly with your device.

Keep in mind that cleaner apps have horrid reputations, and I only offer this one because it has no ads and that because of the age of your device the features of this app should prove extremely useful.

https://systweak-android-cleaner.en.uptodown.com/android/download/1633705

The cleaner and the duplicate finder are the most important, and the file manager will order things by size for you.

This app will allow you to see what is taking space, and delete as you wish.

Tap on any item to load it, to see if you really want to delete it.

Things like thumbnails kill memory space on devices like yours and mine.

If it turns out to be masses of thumbnails, let me know, and I will describe how to keep them from coming back.

Help Music plays when phone call is received

I have been experiencing an issue that's kind of rare but I can seem to figure out where the issue lies. I used to think it was with a specific app like WhatsApp or Spotify but recently I have been using Signal and Mixcloud and experienced the same issue.

What happens is I will have my music playing in my car over bluetooth, if i get a call through WhatsApp or Signal then answer the call the music will stop for a minute but then start playing in the background. It's relatively quiet but I can hear it playing. I have tried crashing the music app and the music will stop for a minute but then out of nowhere it will start playing again. If i try to pause the music, it will pause for a few seconds and then play again. what is even more strange is yesterday i had no music playing and got a call and the music started playing. The only thing i can do to stop everything is crash the chat app or hang up the call and call the user back again.

I currently have a Pixel 5 and last year i had the Pixel 4xl all with different OS versions. This is leading me to believe it has something to do with the Android OS all together.

It is very rare that this happens but is very annoying when it does.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I did have this happen a couple of times with an Oppo Find 7 running a custom ROM, Android 5.11, but that was about 6 years ago. Never had happen with any phone since, so can't suggest a fix for you.

Initial Setup

If it's running Android it needs a Google account
If it's running stock Samsung Android it needs a Google account.

Now unless you are going to get into custom ROMs (assuming this device is even rootable) that's a meaningless distinction, but it is possible to have Android without Google (my old HTC One is now completely Google-free, though it's very much a backup/toy device now rather than my daily driver - and actually I've not found time to play with it much in the last year or so).

S6 to S10 google(and Samsung) back up/restore...no text restored.

samsung smart switch backs up most things except for text messages. and the same goes for google. next time use SMS Backup and Restore for all of your text messaging backups.

so sorry without your old phone, you have lost all those conversations.

I was afraid of that. I was hoping I could drag and drop from the folder copies on the PC to the new phone and they would be recovered. Thanks
