HELP! Storage Isssues

Something I forgot to mention-
apps such as Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and many others like to store files in their own folders.

For instance, say you see a funny meme on Messenger, and you select 'Save To Device'.
The app has already made a folder just for Messenger, and the media from that app will be stored in there.

Depending on whatever Gallery app you are using, the placement of the file may or may not be immediately apparent.

Also, some apps, like Telegram, have the tendency to download every picture and video that you see while using the app.
Once again, this media would be stored in a folder that you may not be looking for immediately.

The worst offenders are apps that hide such data inside of their Android folders, andd the worst of the very worst keep files inside their root files- where you will have no access to them.

For a long while my Galery app was growing to almost 2GB in size every week- making it not only the single largest app on the device, but also about the same size as the system itself on one of my devices.
This was so infuriating!

It turns out that there is another 'cache' in the app, this one is not accessible by the user.

I had a few arguements with the developer over this, as he was trying to tell me that my device was just too low on resources.

I had to point out that although I agreed that my device is pathetic, it meets a standard that the vast majority of worldwide users are using {at the time, about 80% of devices were at this standard}.

Anyway, what was being stored here?
Evidently it was a 'copy' of every thumbnail from every picture and video, and maybe even some whole files, from media that I had deleted.

Should I suppose that KG Status CHECKING finally disappears from Download mode?

In my Tab S6, the line in Download mode stating KG Status Prenormal was totally disappeared after I completed the Android initial setup; while I had different experience with my Tab S7: The line KG Status PRENORMAL has changed to KG Status CHECKING and remained Checking even after I've fully completed the Android initial setup including updating all emergency and optional apps (except system and security updates).

I don't know if this KG Status remains CHECKING is a problem e.g. an indication of unfinished process. Should I suppose (like my Tab S6) this line get totally removed from Download mode? If so, what I have to do more to complete with KG status.

EDIT: I have followed same process with my Tab S6 and S7; like Tab S7 I haven't updated system and security updates for Tab S6.

color temperature in Galaxy Tab S7

i do not have your device, but what settings are under screen mode?

There is only an option between Vivid and Natural (without a color temperature slider). That's it.

In Tab S7 White color seems warm; It seems Tab S7 uses a permanent color filter and there is no built-in option to adjust White balance. I tried to make the White cooler using some color filter apps and it somewhat worked but it affects other colors as well. Perhaps in Tab S7 that goes with territory and cannot be corrected.

How to really backup my android accounts

Yes this post is a couple years old.. but its still valid and never had a resolution... I just found it with a search... most relevant to my issue.

Ramshop mentions 'thunderbird' working - but thats not available on android nor do I see how it could get access to the system files to auto insert new account info.

Hi guys!
I am constantly changing my ROMs and I need a fast way to backup my applications and not re-add everything. For this "Titanium Backup" works for 1-2 apps, but the most important problem that I can not find is how to restore my accounts? Its a very big problem to re-add them every time. I want to be able to do it fast with no effort, can someone point me to a good solution as I can not find any that works. Is
a nandroid backup from a different ROM usable and what is the procedure for restoring my accounts only?

I'm in the same situation... I've bought about 30 android devices in the past few years and have over 60 email accounts to add every time I get a new device... and they are all Gmail...

The built in Google account transfer used to work - it would move about 5 or 10 of my emails over to the new device == then make me type the password in.. which was annoying... After I got into the 20's and beyond for email accounts that system failed every time with a random error... common problem...

Samsung smart switch by design does not move accounts over; I NEED a program that will copy all gmail accounts - email addresses and passwords- into a new device... as I do this every other month... and dont want to type in 50 long emails that all have 20 character long gibberish passwords that I dont even remember without checking my encrypted password manager.

I've posted this Q on the xda forums 3 months ago.. no luck with replies... wonder if anyone here knows anything?

Apps Need to understand how to implement my idea into the app

So I am developing an app as part of a group project. The app has to fetch some data (most importantly time for an alarm) from Cloud Firestore and then ring the alarm at whatever time the alarm is scheduled. This all should happen even if the app is not open right now. I know that I have to use:
1. AlarmManager or WorkManager (still I am not sure which one) for background work like changing the time for alarms and firing the alarm intents
2. Something called PendingIntent (maybe) to set the Alarm intents
3. ACTION_SET_ALARM for actually firing the alarm.

Now what I don't know is how do I combine all these in a manner so that I can implement my idea for the app. I cannot find a single example anywhere where all these things are used together. I would be very grateful if someone could help me.

Physical Access to Device?

As @ocnbrze suggested, just change the lock pattern. Or choose a different lock method -- password, fingerprint, facial, etc. If you're not going to take pro-active steps to secure your mobile device, that leaves it very vulnerable to intrusion. Take the time to secure it properly, that functionality is already installed and available to you, so take advantage of that.

Weird sign in

That's an IPv6 Address. Similar to the XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX format of traditional IPv4 addresses. According to a reverse lookup (WHOIS) here's what I found out about that address:

Contacts Replicated Themselves & Can't Sync To Google

... It fixes temporarily when I remove my affected Google account from my phone, but then acts all corrupted again some days later.
To clarify, I re-add the google account just after removing it. And I've cleaned up where contacts are stored (eg device, this account, another account) and made a backup CSV file when it was in a good state. Replicates are typically only visible on my phone, but deleted contacts agfe t my google contacts throughout including as viewed on chrome on my laptop. The whole merge duplicates and other features do not fix the problem. Maybe temporary bandaid but when my 300 contacts become 5000 in replicates, merging up to 10 at a time every time it happens isn't practical.
