Media page issues

It's been a couple of months, so I thought I'd bring this up again, since it's still a problem.

After entering a description for each image in my album, I don't see it anywhere when viewing the photos.

As before, I've tried various ways of viewing them, but I never see their descriptions. Here are various shots:

As you can see from the first shot, I've definitely entered a description...it just doesn't display anywhere. :thinking:

I dont know enough about Sqlite to provide any help, sorry. The little I know is from using an apk called Sqlite Master on my rooted phone. I recommend @GameTheory but I haven't seen him around AF in a few months. :(

Two problems with video activity

Hello !

I've menaged to set up an activity to play video in my app but I've encountered some problems I cannot solve.

1) First is connected with back button. Mainly, when I open video and then exit it, I cannot go back to the previous activity bu pushing back button, instead it takes me back to the video player.

2) I've made a list of videos in my activity and it's made of video saved in the phone storage. I can't really find and exact way how to add videos to my list by using URL.

Lingo - Word Game. Guess the 5 letter word.

Lingo is a classic word game for the whole family. The objective of the game is to correctly guess the 5 letter word in 5 attempts or less.

Gameplay:
The Lingo game chooses a random 5 letter word from the dictionary. That letter is displayed on the game board. The player guesses a 5 letter word that begins with the given letter. The player has 5 attempts to guess the Lingo word correctly.

Each letter of the entered word is highlighted on screen in a specific color.

Colors:
The Lingo game board will change colors to provide you clues about what the word could be. The meaning of the colors is as follows:
- Red: You have guessed the correct letter in the correct position
- Yellow: You have guessed the correct letter, but in the wrong position
- Blue/Default: The letter you guessed is not part of the secret word

If you get stuck on a guessed word - you can use a hint. By default, when starting the game you have 3 hints. You can buy hints in the application. In addition, if possible, you can watch the ad. After watching the advertisement, you will receive hints and you can continue playing.

You can play Lingo in English, Dutch, Russian and Turkish.
You can change the language of the game at any time by pressing the language button from the settings menu.

Have fun! and guess as many words as you can.

The following info is relevant to live data throughput :-

"The bandwidth of a link is the theoretical maximum amount of data that could be sent over that channel without regard to practical considerations. For example, you could pump 10^9 bits per second down a Gigabit Ethernet link over a Cat-6e or fiber optic cable. Unfortunately this would be a completely unformatted stream of bits.

To make it actually useful there's a start of frame sequence which precedes any actual data bits, a frame check sequence at the end for error detection and an idle period between transmitted frames. All of those occupy what is referred to as "bit times" meaning the amount of time it takes to transmit one bit over the line. This is all necessary overhead, but is subtracted from the total bandwidth of the link.

And this is only for the lowest level protocol which is stuffing raw data out onto the wire. Once you start adding in the MAC addresses, an IP header and a TCP or UDP header, then you've added even more overhead.

sd card corrupt

memory cards, jump drives, SSDs... everything that stores data on a chip will eventually fail. I don't know what the lifespan of a Tesco card is, but I would not expect it to be anything remarkable. SanDisk and Samsung generally have the most robust and long-life chips out there.

If there is one place where I would never compromise quality to save money, it's the storage of my critical files. I find it worth the extra expense. Even with my new SanDisk microSD card, I did a full scan to make sure that I got a legitimate card and not a counterfeit.

ADB connection problems

After a lot of searching it turns out it was my VPN that was at fault although that wasn't immediately obvious.
It has to do with the TAP connector (at least that's what it is called on my system) It was preventing adb working. There was also another VPN in my system that wasn't used so I guess some conflict between them.
It wasn't obvious because I had internet access and everything seemed to be working apart from adb.

So the easy fix would seem to be to disable and uninstall the vpn client, make sure adb will connect to the device and then re-install the vpn client.

It probably didn't help following advice on the MS forum where I reset the networking and TCP stack - none of which had much effect and may have also upset the system.

I stress this fix is only related to adb not connecting over TCP/IP and giving errors 10013 / 10016

Wifi calling not working ONLY on Home wifi

Hello, i am on Android 10 DerpFest Offical Rom April 07/04/20, Carrier : Jio

I am facing a very weird issue.
Wifi calling works for me when connected on all wifi network except my home one.
So when i connect to my home's wifi it never works but on other wifi network it works...

Here's the interesting Part:
When i connect to my home's wifi from my pc and make a hotspot for my home's wifi to tether it and connect my phone to that hotspot then it works but why doesn't it directly work with my home wifi..

So if i connect my phone to "Max" , wifi calling works but if i connect directly to "Demonetix" it doesn't.
any way i can debug this or provide logs for this issue? Or any solutions?
I have wifi calling enabled and "prefer Wifi" enabled too.. any ideas?

I have two wifi connections (Max and Demonetix)

Demonetix -> My Router
Max is -> My Pc's hotspot connected to Demonetix -> Router

when i connect to Demontix it doesn't work but when i connect to Max it works

I can't see Design Text tabs

I'm using Android Studio 3.6.1 version in Windows
I'm in the initial screen in layout editor and i want to see the code of the User Interface in activity_main.xml. I'm looking for Design and Text tab near the bottom left of the screen (at the bottom of the Component Tree window) and i can;t see anything.
