Sim2 has better reception quality than Sim1 slot

So I had my Vivo phone for a couple of months now, originally I installed the 4G card in the Slot 1, reception quality is good outside but in the underground parking it's almost impossible to capture 4G signal, most of the time the network symbol is switched to H+.

Last month I spent 2 weeks abroad for a family visit. While staying there I bought a temporary local 4G Sim and put it in the Slot 1, moving the main Sim to the Slot 2. When I came back from vacation, I didn't remove the junk 4G card but I disabled it from the Settings page. I noticed that the reception quality is suddenly improved, I even can use 4G connection in places where it's impossible to use before.

I did a test by placing the main Sim card back to the Slot 1, the reception quality is dropped significantly, just like before.

I'm no engineer so this whole experience makes me a bit perplexed. Not sure if it's just my phone or it's common thing on all smartphones.

Help Sharing Photo - Random Contact Suggestions?

Thanks so much for the helpful info :)
You're welcome.
I know some people who don't get this issue on their Androids, so it's a little odd.
It has to be some issue of commonality, like using the same Android version, or using the same manufacturer's devices, or...who knows? You and I must have something(s) in common that those other people don't. Lucky us! :D

Help How best to free up internal memory and preserve files?

No, and therein lie the problem. This is why I still hang on to my s5. It was the last Samsung s5 with a user replaceable battery...

Samsung does have a few current cell phones with replaceable batteries, but those models are not as good as the S5.

I just deleted two "conversations", one being Amazon notifications, and the phone is better.

Looked at other Androids with replaceable batteries and the LG V20 64GB looks tempting.

Calander isc files

-- If you look in your Settings >> Accounts >> Google menu, is syncing enabled for the Calendar entry?
-- Also, if you start up the Calendar app, in the hamburger menu in the upper left (three horizontal lines icon) is your email address showing properly? Are items like Events, Reminders, Birthdays, etc. checked so they're visible?

-- You also make references to text messaging. If look in you Settings >> Apps menu, find and open the entry for your texting app, look in the Permissions. Is the Calendar entry enabled?

Galaxy a5

I have a galaxy a5 and I flashed a twrp rom and Its stuck in recovery is not seadroid enforcing, and unfortunately the volume dow isn't working, do you know of any way to get into odin mode?

Just to clarify as it's not apparent just how you're attempting to get into Download mode (a.k.a. Odin mode), the default buttons to get into different modes for your S5
Recovery mode -- power up your phone while simultaneously holding down the Volume Up, the Home, and the Power buttons
Download mode -- power up your phone while simultaneously holding down the Volume Down, the Home, and the Power buttons.
That said, if your Volume Down button isn't working try pulling the battery out for several minutes and then try to boot up into Download mode again. (... in the event this is just a one-off hardware glitch -- leaving the battery out long enough should allow any residual power to drain out that might be retained by internal components like a capacitor). If the Volume switch has been a problem previously though, this might indicate other issues. Maybe try picking up a can of aerosol contact cleaner, readily available at any computer retail store like Fry's, MicroCenter, Best Buy, etc. If there's some kind of build-up or just too much pocket lint on the actual metal contacts inside the Volume switch itself, the contact cleaner solvent might be able to clean it up. (... don't use in an enclosed space or around a baby, there's a toxic stew of chemicals in the solvent).

Help Android browser switching phone to silent mode

weird....never heard of this. @Trom makes a great suggestion. but i would clear cache for the browser as well.

so there are two things you can also try if clearing cache does not work:

1. put the phone in safe mode. this will will not allow any third party apps to run. if it happens in safe mode then, something is wrong. it could be either a hardware issue or software and a factory reset might be needed. if nothing happens while in safe mode, then yes something was installed onto your phone to cause it. it could be a rogue app or something more nefarious.

2.factory reset. this should work as well, provided that this is a software issue and not hardware.
