Why would anyone want to have to upload a text file to Google just to edit it? Why would you want them to have a copy of everything you write? If you don't have positive answers to those questions (i.e. reasons why you would actively want these things) then the original question seems entirely reasonable.

The issue has been solved.

I noticed that the Prerooted Lollipop ROM is a from a different region. So I downloaded the Nougat version for the same model and upgraded the system and I rooted and all worked out well.

There is an option to transfer some applications and limited user data between devices, but that depends upon the application in question already being available (and free) in the App Store / Play Store.

It sounds to me like @dostoyevski was looking for a way to port an application from Android to iOS (where it doesn't already exist).

There are cross-platform development kits which can be used to produce (basic) apps which will run on both iOS and Android (spitting out a separate build for each but based on the same common code) but I'm not aware of anything which can easily convert an existing app (not written using one of those cross-platform frameworks).

Use any browser that uses Android System Webview as the webview, and be sure to check the webview setting in developers options- Google has a nasty habit of making Chrome the webview!
(In my mind that means that Google is using Chrome to monitor everything you do online.)

Sometimes Chrome must be disabled in order for you to be able to change the webview app, and this also leads me to not trust Chrome or Google even more.

Lightning is an excellent browser, much faster and able to be more secure.

You can access Translate from the Google homepage, there is no need for any extra app at all.

‍♂️ I got used to it. Password manager is a big go for me there.

My first Android was a garbage-tier Coby Kyros tablet that ran 2.1. Then an LG Optimus V that ran 2.2. I learned to root/ROM at least.

I do wish I had the funds then to enjoy real good phones like the Xperia Play, Kyocera Echo, O.G. Droids, and so on. Didn't get my first flagship until the Galaxy SIII was already a year old. At least I can enjoy the Thunderbolt and SII today however.

That's what I expected. I think it's time to upgrade. Thank you.

You do not want to save directly to SD cards.
If the file is corrupt, then you have wasted two read/write cycles of that card.
(One to save it, and another to delete it.)

This is why you should save to internal, look over the file(s), make sure they are complete and wanted, and then copy them to the SD.

Then, to be really safe, double check the file(s) that you just copied to the card for errors and whatnot.

Only after this verification should the file(s) in internal memory be deleted.

I am most guilty of just moving files instead of copying them.

I will admit that the success rate is very high, but there is always that one file that will get away- corrupted during the move and now lost forever.

I don't trust open tabs in a browser, since sites that you visit can scan your bookmarks (if your bookmarks have an icon denoting the site, then yes) and possibly even see browsing history and more.

The browsers I use all have a setting that allows the closing of all tabs and then the browser with a single long press of the back button on the navigation button.

Cookies, history, and web storage can all be set to be deleted at this time as well.

I actually discovered this setting by using the Greenify app, otherwise I might not ever have figured it out.

Can someone explain why I am now getting the following errors and how to resolve them. I have already given Tasker permission and still getting the error messages. Even when I check the option "Continue after error" the errors still occur.

I became a fan because my first smartphone was a ZTE 812 Maven running Android 5.1.

It died after about 10 months, but was under warranty and replaced.
That one is still alive even after I replaced the 'non-replaceable' battery.

My Ol'lady had a ZTE that was running KitKat while the rest of us were using Android 7.

Her ZTE 557VL running Android 7 is just now having battery failure.
If her screen wasn't busted, I would just get a replacement battery for it.
