I know Amazon sells used S4s (I got two S3's from them, an S4, and an S4 Mini) so you could potentially part one out (they only have tiny little screws holding everything together, not glue like a modern phone thank goodness!)

I am not the only one who favors older phones and I'm glad. Every phone today is either too darned big or a functional downgrade. (i.e., bland UI, no headphone jack or expandable storage, or removable battery, ya know, what makes Android different from Apple?) I refuse to live in a world where every device is a homogenized, every phone looks alike since 2015 stagnant mess.

I want variety like we had in 2007-2013 back.

So is it an app at all? If you mean "how do I stop it playing the next programme after the one I'm watching finishes?" that's likely to be a feature of the particular streaming service - quite a few of them do that no matter what platform you are viewing on. So if that is what you are asking about you'd have to check the settings of each service's app for an option, and if there isn't an option you are stuck.

For DownloadsDocument, is it no longer possible to query its uri table on Android 11?

It reminds me of the old AirPush spam 'notifications' but I don't think they exist anymore do they? Have you installed any apps lately? 'notifications' like that usually come from Cheetah Mobile, similar to AirPush

The funny thing is that the only USB-C compatibility problem I've had was with the cable that came with my s21. It does work with the s21, but not with some of my other devices, whereas my other cables (from Apple or Anker) work with everything I've tried.

I'm glad I ain't the only one who loves their old phone, although mine is an HTC Thunderbolt I got in 2020 via Amazon. There are ways to prevent unnecessary battery drain (I also got an S5 lying around).

Go through the apps list in settings, and check the little 'restrict background data' on each app. Turn master Sync off except for email and Google account, and NEVER use Wifi. For some reason, turning on Wifi on an S5 makes it run super hot and drain like mad. I think when the S5 was new, data plans weren't all unlimited so the TouchWiz interface kinda hard-coded a limit to background data usage.

Also, DO NOT update your apps. Newer versions not only eat up storage, but demand more CPU/RAM and background usage and kills battery faster. Also runs slower. Once I got back 2GB and uninstalled all the updates, the phone could manage a day or two of standby usage, and 3-4 hours of SoT.

I've done the same. After that, you can access the phone in fastboot mode only (until you flash a proper image).
To get to fastboot mode, do: the moment it powers OFF briefly, you hold vol up + power buttons, until screen flickers with three options:
recovery mode
fastboot mode
normal mode

Now use Vol up button to select fastboot, and vol down button to confirm.
You are in fastboot mode!

You can check if device is properly connected to laptop with:
.\fastboot devices
This should then show the device number on the laptop screen.

Now do any fastboot commands you need.

Thank you for the direct positive answer on the connections. I am quite sure the installers just connected them all to the ignition!
It is cleat to me that unfortunately the A52 USB has no video output..My question is it possible to cast the phone's screen on the radio? Could Hotspot or Wi-Fi direct be a possible solution? I tried but with no success.
The aftermarket steering wheel controller remains a need from me!

I too, have had this happen to me.
(phone call immediately hangs up when dialing out)...
Solution : Reboot the phone.
I think this is a Cricket wireless issue since nobody other than Cricket has the problem...

They mean in the phone menus. So where it is in my s21 (or would be if I hadn't deleted it) doesn't seem to be there in the OP's A32.

That location in the phone settings is also where you can change it (older phones) or delete it (at least some current phones). But they're having trouble finding it on their phone.

ok guys thanks that is why i asked. i kind of figured that was the case but had to ask. i kind of figured it was like most youtube videos they post for the attention. so i will forgo that i know you can mess with the firmware and change it so the bloatware is less or if your good all gone but you never know if the phone had some turned off items that might get turned on with some tweaking but it sounds like that article was so much b-s

I do understand your point that connecting to a phone from an external USB and application probably requires the phone to be powered on. But the article I referenced - and many others like it - describes phones that cannot be powered on and imply that somehow the phone's internal storage can be accessed from a PC running their software. All of those articles look a bit sleazy to me, and it is probably virus ware trying to exploit the misery of people. Let's see if anyone else can clarify.

Keep trying to boot up into Download Mode, it's a multi-step process. Rebooting with the Power button and the Volume Down button is just step one.

Update: I am now getting some reminder alerts, generated from my phone, but they only show up on my desktop, not on my phone, which would be far more useful for me. I used to get reminders on my phone.
