A quick google search produced a number of programs claiming to do the task of converting .tec files to .jpg format. I have no idea if they work or are safe to install and execute.

do you use your phone for work? are there any security apps installed?

Could be something extremely common like forgetting about my slide down to mute option on my volume adjusted. Anyway out of the blue, my drops app - used for Spanish words trainning - has vibrarted a few itmes, on that subject.

Dose anyone have some knowledge of the Set Edit app, I would love to have my entire cell phone on no vibration what so ever..

I assume you mean the Google solution? I can't really comment about that, as no Android devices I've got have it, except as an optional install, and so I've never seen or used it. Also I'd never want to use any device data transfer solutions that depend on the cloud.

ok i got it figured out. it turned out the phone number i was given got 4 texts from the same person and my phone was trying to put them into the messages and i had to have metro reset that number to let the texts thru to the phone so i could listen to them and then delete them and block that number that sent them, what a procedure that was. so after metro reset the number and the texts came thru i was able to actually set up the voice mailbox. metro told me because i did not have the voice mail set up and then calls went into voice mail it got frozen,

anyway now i have the voice mail set and can see them and block the number from the previous use of this number i have now.

I've been trying Windscribe (free). Data allowance is 10GB a month for free, and it works in China no problems.

Okay, I'm willing to consider this... I've never rooted an Android phone before; I never really had any reason to bother with it, and I prefered my phone to be reliable, and not easily hackable... but at this point, my options are limited, and I *was* a firmware engineer in my previous career ...

So... can @codezer0 or anyone else point us to a guide for rooting the device, and info on available options for ROMs for the LG V20 ?? I previously looked into rooting my previous Galaxy S5, but they had hooks in it to confound that effort... I don't know what the LG options are...

Usually when websites have this there is an option to "browse" instead of drag. What happens if you click that (i.e. does it open a file browser)?

Dragging into a box is, as @ocnbrze has said, really a computer interface rather than a phone one.

Do you know that your texts are actually being received?

Are these the only contacts you've texted? If not, do they have anything in common?

And are the texts SMS or MMS? There's more can go wrong with MMS.

Sorry it's all questions, but trying to spot things that might help identify the cause.

My mom's Sharp FS8009 also had similar problems, happened much earlier than mine. Sudden spike in temperature even though the phone is in idle. We factory reset that one many times to no avail, and I didn't reinstall the GSAM Battery Monitor. Sharp doesn't have Bixby Voice, so I'm not sure which process caused the temperature spike.

I want to retrieve the ARFCN (Channel Frequency Number) while the device is connected to a 5G network, which can be of 2 certain types (SA and NSA). The type (NSA) I have problems with (and it is the type which most of the actual 5G networks fall into) uses a 4G LTE network cell as a primary cell.

I use the method PhoneStateListener.onCellInfoChanged(List<CellInfo> cellInfo) to retrieve all the cells available (connected or not) to my device, and although my phone displays clearly the 5G indicator (and I get the 5G signal my device is receiving through PhoneStateListener.onSignalStrengthsChanged(SignalStrength signalStrength)) none of them is an instance of CellInfoNr, thus resulting impossible for me to get the ARFCN which is only available through a get method in the CellInfo class.

The request for recent Android devices is interesting, since that's clearly a very old one in your screenshot (I've not seen that style of recent apps screen for many years). This is relevant because the current style of recents screen only shows 1 app at a time (with little bits of the previous and following visible to the sides) where you scroll left/right to switch apps, so fairly different from this.

I don't know the answer, and suspect there isn't one. The recent apps screen is a system feature. If you wrote your own launcher you could probably arrange for it to open that rather than a home screen (I presume that if you are using one of these apps and the screen times out you would wish to return to that app on unlocking, rather than go to this whenever you unlock regardless). But I can't think of any launcher that does this. That doesn't mean one doesn't exist, as I've not tried every launcher out there, but it is to be honest a pretty niche feature request.

Wouldn't a simpler solution just be to have a single home screen for your device with these 5 app icons on it? That would have the same effect, you open the device and you have buttons for those 5 apps and nothing else (though you'd get no preview of what they were doing). Or just put those 5 in the dock?

Anyone had success in recovering them?

Looking for the same answer.

thing is that was an old free version for android - Im sure the new Paid version works perfectly !!

great thanks.i did firgure out how to block unwanted calls on the a21 finally. i guess it was so hard because i di not get many calls. but i do not like getting the same scammer all the time so i block them.

now to see if i can figure out how to merge the sd card into the a21 phone's internal memory. the k20 i have does the easy but i have yet to find this on the a21.

it looks like the lg will be served by lg for a few more years according to their website. so i may just get a g7 if i can't make this a21 phone have more memory. thanks

I have tried severals of them, and found Yo PDF. It is very good for drawing but deleting option is not good, and it didn't save changes when the document was in SD card.

My newer moto phone that runs Android 10 does not have this problem. You can use the speech feature but the next time you send a message it goes back to the keyboard.

Thank goodness I was able to fix this. Somebody told me about the option to uninstall updates, and at least I'm no worse off than I was. I'm back on the Stylus, but I still can't sign in to the website. I have tried going to it via Gmail, and even shut down No Root Firewall temporarily.

yeah it put a lot of my games in the Game Launcher app, i have to go into it to view and play the games.
