Should I add internal storage ?

All right, it seems the usefulness of this dicussion is exhausted. We've got past the point of helpful tips being shared, and into ideological territory.

I'm not willing to tell what country I'm in, for privacy reasons which should be obvious. It also should be obvious that I know how much things cost in my country. I don't need any outside help for that.

Thank you to all who contributed.

Help Several Problems With New Phone

I have a brand new S10 Plus with Android 11 and the latest soft ware updates, but several problems.

Extra Screen - When I open the case there is an extra blank screen that I have to tap twice to get to the lock screen. Can I get rid of this additional screen and open to the lock screen?

Edge Panel - The edge panel is not working and the edge panel and edge lighting are both turned on in the settings.

Cover not switching screen off - When I close the cover the home screen does not switch off and stays on until it times out. This could be the same issue as the extra blank screen as opening the phone does not bring it to life and it is like the proximity sensor is not working.

Any advice would be appreciated.

whether 1 min or 15, the screen goes black.

Change the Opening Screen

Folks, Is there a way to change (and retain) the opening screen on my Samsung S10+? By that I mean when I first wake the phone up to use (phone was not off, but was a blank screen waiting for my wanting to use the phone) that screen is not something I want. As more info this is the screen that I swipe to bring up my unlocking choice. Once that is done the phone goes to what I call my home page and all is good. That screen I know how to change but this first one? I don't like it and would like to find a way to move from that. I've pulled out the rest of my hair here so thanks in advance.

maybe try the always on display!

Scary school film from 1952

I'm curious what this has to do with the Google Pixel 6 that we're trying to learn about.
In addition to @Fox Mulder's excellent explanation, let me point out that not EVERYONE who comes to Android Forums is here to learn about the Pixel 6! This is a general forum for all things Android, with logically organized sub-sections for various topics--including one cleverly named "Off-Topic."

By the way, dredging up a dead thread, especially for no good reason, is usually somewhat frowned on.

ITracker app in system apps Galaxy S20 FE?

Does anyone have any idea what this is. I've factory reset the phone and it's still on there. I've searched but can't find much info.

I can force stop it but it will be running sometimes when I check.

I've denied it access to phone calls but can't dent it access to SMS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Google search bar

when you long press on the home screen where you want the search bar to be, the list of widgets does not list google search?
I finally came upon the answer. One of the widgets shown is called "Google: At A Glance". When you select it and swipe right to left it reveals the "Google: Search" aother swipe and it reveals "Google: Sound Search".
Search is the google widget I was looking for.

What's the difference between my Google calendar and "My Calendar"?

OK, this is awful!! I've got a brand new problem, obviously related to this subject. I'm guessing it happened in either a recent update of the Google Calendar app on my Samsung Phone, or a recent Android system update from Samsung.

When I create a new event in the Google Calendar app, by clicking on a day & time, it is now showing up by default as a "My Calendar" event, instead of an event in the calendar of my Gmail account. The colors are different, and if I visit the Google calendar using the browser of my Windows computer, the "My Calendar" events do not show up.

In the settings of the Google Calendar app on my phone, I can uncheck the box for "My Calendar," and those events disappear. However, when I create another event, it is still created by default as a "My Calendar" event. The other such events then reappear, and the checkbox for "My Calendar" in settings has been rechecked.

Damn, will those programmers never stop messing with things that aren't broken, and causing these kinds of problems? Has anyone solved this problem?
