Odd that using Reset Network settings didn't help. If you take a look at the selected APN entry buried in your Settings menu, does it resemble these Tesco parameters?

Do both your phone's APN options and Tesco's posted APN options match exactly?
The Tesco APN should be automatically added when you insert its SIM card but as is but if not, perhaps there's just some glitch that involves some kind of discrepancy. Try creating a new APN entry using those posted parameters, select that new entry, and restart your phone. Hopefully that helps fix your mobile data problem but if not, you can always just select the original APN entry.

Given you've sent this phone in to be serviced elsewhere and if you're certain the SIM card is OK, after all the the other things you've tried it might be time to just set this particular phone aside and get a new one to replace it. Hopefully it's still new enough that there's still warranty coverage so you can use that money to help cover the costs.

This might not necessarily be a problem with your S8 but rather with your carrier on their end. If you have access to another phone (friend or relative?) try putting your SIM card in that phone and see if the call problem is still so quirky.This test might help determine if the problem is with your phone or your carrier.

Looking up Red Pocket online, it isn't just a MVNO tied to one cellular carrier, it's a MVNO that's contracted to use AT&T, along with T-Mobile and Verizon. If you do contact them about a new SIM card (which might be good to do anyway) you might also want to have them send you a replacement SIM for a different carrier. Depending on where you live, you might want to switch. Try installing this OpenSignal app:

It's primarily a bandwidth speed test utility but includes a handy map feature that shows local cell towers for the major carriers, and crowd=sourced data on approximate speed numbers. it might help determine which carrier has better or worse coverage where you reside.

Custom ROM installation assistance

Google searches keep directing me to flash the stock firmware, which is obviously not my desired result. The videos I'm seeing aren't helping either. I'm pretty sure with an S4 Mini, there is no ROM version higher than Kitkat 4.4.4 made for that phone, either custom or original Samsung. Think you can just keep it as an IR remote control, and not much else. I have a Huawei Mate10 I keep around, and I often use that as a remote control for TV, Android box, and A/C, as it has an IR blaster.

Autofill service not shown in settings autofill service list

I don't expect functionality to work, but shouldn't this be listed in service? Please suggest if I am missing anything.

I have added Service tag in AndroidManifest.xml

I used it too but didn't like how everything is made, I mean the design and the names of the tools that sometimes confused me. After this app, I tried using an online video editor called fastreel and liked it better. The site is simple and understandable for any user of any age.)

Again, don't bother trying to edit or add photos to people in your contacts listing using the Contacts app. Instead, you need to focus on your email account.

This is an example for Gmail that may or may not apply since you prefer not to reveal which email service you use -- by going to https://contacts.google.com, logging into your account, and then selecting one of the contact entries you want to manually add a photo to, once that change gets saved it will be become a part of your online account. Then whenever your phone syncs itself to your online Google account, when you do open up the Contacts app and look at that newly altered contact entry should be showing the photo you just added. If you don't use Gmail, substitute your chosen email service's web interface and work on updating/adding photos to different people there instead.

Help How to get the phone out of dr fone recovery mode?

It seems when check via dr fone transfer showing as mem capacity 2797mb and 1362mb used whereas it should show as 32Gb, also when start up it says Enter your password to start up your device but I am certain I enter correct passwords but it is not verifying. Also in recovery mode it shows No support single sku supported api:3.

And when try backup option no files come up on scan does that mean the Dr fone recovery package that it installed wiped out the data? Or is it like in another different boot system for recovery? How to solve this problem?

Also any backup software you think could backup stuff before applying any drastic fixes

It might be time to just start over from scratch. Backup saved files and data (and confirm the data is safely archived and restorable), re-flash with the appropriate ROM, and do a Factory Reset -- the flashing replaces the operating system, the Reset wipes the user data partition. This returns the phone back to its original, first-time used state. And then it involves the arduous process of restoring your entire user account back to the way it was. But its current state sounds like there's a possible problem of a mismatch of firmware, along with a probable problem with 'root' status config files from miscellaneous apps you were using when the phone was rooted.

it's not the most root-friendly, but European models are much more amenable than US ones. However if you aren't aware of the distinction you can find all sort of inappropriate answers on the internet. It's also important to know the distinction because root methods typically depend on what phone you have, and while Samsung use the same name the models sold in different regions are very different internally, so software mods for one version are not likely to work for another.
