no root is quite perfect for me... if it does what it says when it comes down it. You see, I also expected Android 11 not to ignore my settings of Downloads over wifi only. Yes, it took a while to click every app (three times), but it eems to have been worth it and I had webview turned on for wifi.
I allowed only contacts and phone, everything else is red. I only rarely make phonecalls, so I have a strange simcard for phone only, which costs almost nothing, as long you do not make mistakes. And I need to be reached at all times....
I have disabled everything Google completely and it also seems to work against Playstore, which alsways used to tell me this or that will no longer work, which was not true.

^^ Agreed. That's what I was trying to remember. What the OP is describing has occurred with mine severally (?)
There should be life in it yet depending on it's history and use, but can't know for sure.
It's definitely not an old device, my shampoo bottle is older than that, but I guess anything over 2 years is still suspect, sadly.

That's actually the Hong Kong(SAR), Qualcomm Snapdragon variant of the S21 you've got there. although it will work internationally no problems. I believe Samsung haven't rolled out Android 12 for the China S21 Snapdragon variants yet, including HK and Macao. And if you bought it in the US and not HK, then it was a grey import there.

Also FYI Samsung Belgium many not be able to deal with warranty claims for any issues on Snapdragon devices that were intended to be sold in China, etc. The EU countries get the S21 Exynos variants.

I believe you. The kernal version gives it away. #1 preempt. Is a rom hackers use. I'm also hacked. Soo good. The police and fbi didn't believe me for a year. But I proved it. Found the hacker. But my question is more, how much privacy do i have with these operating systems if other people whoem i contact still use stock rom?

My phone recently downloaded and installed an updated version of Android, and I was not familiar with how it was setup, but basically, I just had to go to the Alarm page, and click the icon to the far right of the time set for the alarm, and there i was able to click off of the dates I did not want, which left only yesterday's date for the alarm, and it worked out....
Truthfully, I was guilty of not reading the handbook I suppose!!

*I have subsequently disabled the feature to automatically install updates on the phone now to avoid this kind of stupidity in the future*

Yeah there is no option to change the color of the font you are using... .. at least with Gboard.

It might depend on where you are typing. Like I'm on my phone, but within this site I can change the color of the font to light blue.

Have you tried rebooting the phone? You might want to think about doing a factory reset as well. Keep in mind this week delete your data so back up accordingly.

Yeah, that is all I can suggest: try reinstalling and hope that the data are restored somehow (if they were stored in the publicly accessible storage, aka ./sdcard, then that's another possibility). If you didn't make any backup yourself that's probably your only chance.
