Simple phone restarting Moto g8 power resolved it for me

The short answer is "don't long press on the icon, just touch it".

This is the "App shortcuts" feature. If you just touch the icon it will open the app, but if you press and hold it offers shortcuts to whatever actions the app developer thinks people are most likely to want. The feature itself has been around for about 5 years, but more apps are using it now. Google do not provide any way of disabling it. You could try giving feedback to the WhatsApp developers, telling them what you don't like about it, and seeing whether anything happens. That's an extreme long shot, but probably has marginally more chance of getting a response than complaining to Google.

You can use a TRACFONE/NET10 SIM Card Kit to activate service on the other brands like SIMPLE Mobile, but it will be linked to SIMPLE Mobile and can only be used in a SIMPLE Mobile branded phone, or a TRACFONE branded phone, or any unlocked GSM phone.
Example:
If you use a TRACFONE/NET10 SIM Card Kit to activate service on Straight Talk, then that SIM card will only work in a Straight Talk branded phone, or a TRACFONE branded phone, or any unlocked GSM phone. It will not work in a SIMPLE Mobile branded locked phone.

Prior to android 10 I used Night Keeper for years and there was some change in android 10. Its some special setting which needs to be changed in order for the apps white list to put calls through. Anyways, this app is "no longer useful beyond android 9+." That being said I stumbled across the magical setting a couple months ago but I had to do a reset of the phone and cant remember what the setting was. I had it working flawlessly for months so I know its possible. I remember losing my mind last time too but then randomly came across some post which listed the settings I needed to change. There is a setting called DND access but you can only select whatever apps it lists, I cant force night keeper. I dont think thats the issue because it does turn on DND, more on that below.

Summary of what the app does in case people arent familiar;

DND app but it lets you create profiles. So I have a sleep one which turns off BT and all notifications except calls from specific contacts, it turns on android DND but then SHOULD override something when specific callers call. It is not recognizing the contacts which are in my list so their calls are not put through. I have a profile called Text & Phone, its listed as priority mode rather than silent and full ringer. So all calls and then whatever apps I do want notifications for (messaging, etc) so in other words no email (still synced though) and only actually important notifications. In order to get those notifications you have to go into the app notifications settings and allow override DND. It has to be some permission to allow it to read contacts or something since the app works other than call filtering. ANY IDEAS??? I havnt been able to find a similar app which does what I need.

Building an android project using gitlab ci/cd.
There is no problem in the build process, but after the build is completed, the java.exe process is not terminated, so the build stage does not move on to the next stage.
My solution is terminate java.exe process directly.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

I am experiencing strange syncs when in my 2020 Ford... The contacts and cell download sometimes. This started since setting up the 4G hotspot in the vehicle... Anyone else have this issue?

I second the "feather" theory. But that doesn't tell me the app name, and searching on "feather" in the Play Store produced a huge number of apps.

But you should be aware that there are a huge number of apps, as well as many different types of apps, that use heart icons. So unless it's a fairly well-known one or distinctive enough for a reverse image search to work there is a good chance that nobody will be able to recognise it. Usually the best way is to ask the other person (since most of these queries concern screenshots from someone else's phone, even more so when heart-shaped icons are involved!). But if you post it we'll give it a go.

Assuming that there is any way of removing the blacklist: I'm pretty sure most UK carriers don't even let you pay off the previous person's bill to clear it.

"Size of an iPhone Mini" is tricky, since if the 64mm width is important you get very few options. Here is a list from GSMArena's phone finder, where my search criteria were simply "year > 2018, Android, bar form-factor (to eliminate watches from the results), width < 66mm". There aren't many, and the only half-decent ones are old (which is important because you have to consider battery condition: both 3 years use and sitting in a box for 3 years will degrade that, though being used for 3 years is likely to be worse unless you have an extremely battery health conscious user).

Relaxing the width restriction to 68mm doubles the number of results, though most of them are still lower-end than the Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 itself appear when you loosen the width limit to 70mm, but is also a cm taller than the iPhone 12 Mini: if you want to restrict the height as well you will lose most of the extras you gain by being more tolerant of the width.

I tend to not care about resale value because by the time I replace a phone I don't expect it to have any significant resale value left, no matter who made it. But if you are serious about size-matching the iPhone Mini then you'll be looking at either old or second-hand anyway: when I asked for Android phones of similar height and width to the iPhone 12 Mini released in the last 2 years I got only 3 results, and all 3 are junk that falls far short of the Pixel 3.

Note that I'm writing as someone who has no interest in large phones, and would regard the iPhone 12 Mini size as perfect (being able to use it one-handed on the go matters to me, watching videos on a phone does not). But there simply aren't any recent decent Android options as small as that.

The only Play Store app I instinctively trust is Rectanal, the haemorrhoid detection app for which you must allow all permissions and sharing.

Yep. I think your unlocked device is not totally unlocked, much like mine, whereas Ting mobile blames Cricket, and Cricket blames Ting... I noticed that there's only a few toggle buttons that you can turn on or off, also like mine. In my case I have no unconditional call forwarding. Every time I try a code it tells me network error or just doesn't call thru. Oh well
