There are apps that copy one phone to another, but that won't let you reset the phone then copy stuff back to the same phone because once you reset the phone there will be nothing left to copy back. Hence you need to back up to either cloud storage or another personal device.

Samsung have some PC software called "Smart Switch" which can back up the phone to a computer. There's an FAQ on it here. Note however that it can't back up everything (as it describes in the "what can I tranfer?" section), so I'd advise taking a second backup of important stuff (e.g. copy what you can to a computer over USB, or to your favourite cloud storage, in addition). I can't give any additional advice on this app because I've never used it myself.

In principle some stuff can be backed-up with a Google account (probably a Samsung account too), but I didn't find that reliable 10 years ago (when I was playing with custom ROMs and so resetting every few weeks) and while it may have changed I never got into the habit of trusting it. Maybe someone else can advise on that stuff.

by doing a hard reset, you tripped google's FRP. it is designed to prevent thieves from stealing phones (or when a phone is lost and then found by some stranger) and then hard reset so that they can sign in to their own account and use the phone., this prevents that. when frp is tripped you need the original account info in order to sign in and use the phone. even if you flashed a firmware update, you will still need the original account info.

Yes, I agree it seems very likely that Google won't regard it as a priority. Looking on the bright side if the aid manufacturer decides to do something about it at least it's possible to update the firmware using the app. One can live in hope.

I have restored many apps from the Play Store and after many hours have an almost? completely functioning phone. Photos, apps, most notes, --things are looking good.
When I do open an app, I must log in like it was the first time, but that's not too bad.

Stuff in the "android" folder is specific to the particular apps (all that "com.whatever" stuff is the actual package names for various apps). I've not had a removable card since Android 5 so don't know for sure how this will behave - I have such folders in my internal storage instead. But if there is anything particularly important there (e.g. WhatsApp backup and media folders) maybe take a copy for security before doing anything.

Seems Cihpo has you covered, they have trackers which work with Google's "Find My Device" for pre-order. I contracted Cihpo support to make sure I understood the page properly, and here's what they had to say:

Why is the update 1GB? Probably because it's a full OS update rather than just a security patch. But don't worry, it will replace your existing OS rather than taking up extra space, and anyway there is nothing you can do to change the size.

Finally parted ways with this phone back in February! I learned a lot with that phone and the Nexus 4. Good times.

I was puzzled when you said that Pro mode didn't do AE, because it clearly does. Of course it mislabels the exposure compensation feature as "EV", which are the units you adjust exposure in but as such both the actual (auto) exposure and any compensation you apply are both in EV and so it's a poor choice of label (if they employed any photographers in their camera team they'd know there is a standard exposure compensation symbol).

I think this "Android TCL TV" is probably a smart TV with the "Android TV" platform built-in, so according to that list you quote it should be supported. But I've never seen one in real life (either a TCL TV or any "Android TV" device) so can't say anything more than that.

I'd start by looking at Settings > Apps > No Root Firewall and seeing whether there is a battery setting in there. If not, try searching the settings.

I'm being imprecise because settings change with both android version and manufacturer, so not knowing what phone we are talking about means it's impossible to say where the setting will be (e.g. I'm using a Galaxy s21, and Samsung are about the worst of the lot for rearranging the Settings in their own way).

A Samsung account is a different thing from a Google account, though it may use the same email address. So having that account associated with the same GMail address doesn't mean that it is receiving your GMails.

And all android phones will have a Google account, even if they don't use the GMail app. So that one is also a red herring (and don't remove it, because that is the one your contacts etc will be stored with, as well as your Play Store account).

Are you receiving multiple notifications as well as multiple tones? Because if other email apps were receiving the messages you should get separate notifications from them, and be able to read the same email in all of them. And when you changed your tone in the GMail app did all of the multiple tones change? If they did then that would suggest that it's the GMail app generating multiple tones rather than different apps doing this. I can only suggest checking the GMail app's settings (including making sure it doesn't have something screwy like the same account synced multiple times - something I've never heard of and wouldn't have guessed possible, but we're dealing with something screwy here so why rule anything out?). Unfortunately I don't use that app myself (it's disabled in fact) so am not familiar with its settings.
