[Free][App] Live Tracking

Track your position and share it in real-time with your friends or family.

How to use:
- Start a new session. Your position will appear on the live tracking app and the app will start recording your path via GPS.
- Share menu will pop up. Choose the app you want to use to share (Email, social networks, instant messaging apps...). Your friends and family will receive a link.
- Your friends and family can open the link they received and follow your position. If they have the app installed they will be able to see exactly the same info as you (map, charts, location, GPS coordinates...). They can also use a browser if they do not have the app installed.

Features
- You can see the track from the app or a web browser (also in a desktop PC) in real time.
- Altitude and speed charts.
- Live location on map and GPS position & coordinates.
- Export your tracks in GPX format.

Is this normal?

Yes, that just looks like fairly ordinary software information. Please tell us why you think the devices are hacked.

(For the record, hacking is very rare, and the most vulnerable thing is not your phone but your Google account: if you use a weak password, use the same password in many places, or don't have 2 factor authentication enabled then you increase your risk of this).

Alcatel One Touch Fierce 4.2.2 update?

I'm wondering whether there's any hope for my old android. It's been in storage for awhile and my other phone broke so was thinking about bringing it back. It works for phone, text, and data but many apps I have tried are not working as it's android 4.2.2. Is there a way to update this device? I have very little experience here but can follow instructions.
so whar @Dannydet is trying to say is that you can root the phone and flash a custom rom that has later updates......the only problem is that your phone has no support from devs...... so rooting is pointless as there is no custom roms for you to flash.

your old phone like my note 4 would serve you better as a wifi only device or as a media player.

plus this phone is a low budget phone, might as well get a much newer budget phone then what you have now.

Root Poblano VLE5 Hot Pepper

Where can I find a replacement battery for the VLE5 Chili pepper Android?

I have this device.
I have searched for the battery.

What I have discovered is that you can buy the device for what the battery costs.

A battery will cost around $20 after shipping and tax.
So will the entire device.

Not that I am downing the device at all, but it is what it is.

Also, beware of batteries that I have seen for sale for this device.

Some are obviously not the right one, and others are used or shady in some other ways.

@ocnbrze is right; open your browse and enter the model number of the battery.

For my other devices, this is how it was done.
Ignore any info about what device{s} the battery fits.
As long as the model numbers are exactly the same, so are the batteries.

But, as I have found for myself, the supply of batteries for this device are very limited.

If I needed a batery for it now, I seriously would just repace the device for $20, and swap the batteres.
The old battery should be ok for use in the new device at home, plugged in and on Wi-Fi, at least until/if it starts to bulge.
Then more extreme measures would hapen if the device were to remain in service.

Let me know how your search goes, as I would like a battery for mine as well.

If you have not already noticed, accessories for these devices are also basically at the same price level as the devices themselves.

I did find out that the tempered glass screen protector for an iphone x will fit really well, but not quite perfect.
We are talking about a 16th of an inch or so at the top and bottom, and the thing is only $5.

If I had taken the time to grind the bottom down about 1/8 of an inch, it would be perfect.

Apps content provider authorization help

Hi there.

I'm a totally newbie in android development and trying to understand how contact content provider works.

My assumptions so far:

1) To work with contacts content provider via URI's you should be able to pass oauth2 authorization first.
I.e. not enough to have rights in your application.
2) If you work with AOSP - based OS, say, in a car and pair with Bluetooth device then contents of contacts are filled with data by means of framework via, say, PBAP of Bluetooth.

3) If you want to connect another phone then all data from previous one is lost.

Am I right in my assumptions?

Location not showing GPS

That doesn't do what I need. That is a time stamp on photo. I need GPS location embedded in file. My GPS uses location info to place image on map where it was taken.

Also the folder saved in can't be any external storage, like my GPS. MyFiles can move the images so I know it's possible.

I did find an app that has embedded GPS but it can only save to a folder on internal drive. Still useful.

Coming from a S9+, Not liking this new phone so far.

I broke down finally and got a new Galaxy S21+ 5G as I wanted a bigger screen for GPS purposes. I was expecting more, but outside of the bigger screen, I liked my former S9+ better.

Some reasons:
1. Can't add more memory
2. S9+ is a better looking phone
3. Stuck with the finger print circle that shows (faintly) on all screens, messages, photos, home screen etc. This one really pisses me off and I'm told that ALL android phones have this. If I don't use a screen protector, it doesn't show... but I must have a screen protector on there. Since I make a living with wildlife/nature/landscapes etc. customers can see that circle in the pic, almost ruins it.
4. No more LED light??? I depended on this blinking light that stayed on until I looked that the text mail. This is a biggie with me.
5, Having issues with my text message showing popups such as "Message saved as a draft" that won't go away while texting AND stays on even if I go to another page like home page, gallery etc. What the heck is this???

There is more, but I'm trying to iron out the bugs so far. I've only had this phone two days now and not liking it.

Okay, I'm liking the phone better now since I fixed #3, #4 and #5. I have three posts on those
