Get a bittorent or a utorrent. There are online versions as well. I you have a not so secure connection and the speed of your downloads is not that high I would also suggest you get yourself something in he lines of a seedbox. I know that it sounds weird but you can actually have a very beneficial effect for you expecially if you want to make sure that the speed of the downloads is high enough or if you want to share a certain set of files to different PCs. I started using them not that long ago myself but I have been very pleased with it. It took me awhile actually to pick one of them out since there are so many different ones on the market. I actually used of different articles that kind of had seedbox comparisons as their man theme. There are a lot of things ti keep in mind when you are picking one so these reviews are useful. I think you will like it. Good luck with picking the best one hehe

Thanks for the information. That's exactly what I wanted to know. That means that LG finally made use of QC4+ that they skipped on the LG V40. As long as they keep the earphone plug, I'll stay with LG.

I didn't toggle airplane mode..it did that when the call dropped. I am using bell canada router. Originally when connecting to wifi with my koodo phone provider when toggling wifi on koodo had to send me a code to activate it. That doesn't happen now. I changed dns1 and dns2 to 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. It whatever it was but deleting the original it defaulted to the google dns numbers. Went to save those and it just went back to the original numbers that were there. This is ridiculous. You have to be an engineer to just get phone service. I have nothing. The cell tower is quite a distance away and prior to connecting to wifi I had to go outside to use phone....and now have to once again. Yes cell service is terrible here but the wifi did the trick. Just wish to get it back. It does work for my laptop...strictly the phone is the problem.

I know it's in safe mode as it says "SAFE" at the bottom of the screen and there's a "safe mode" notification...

I think I've found the problem though - it would appear the volume down button is faulty and keeps thinking it's being pressed when it isn't... Thus putting it into safe mode when I switch on!

I use Google Maps on the web. I live in Oaxaca, Mexico, and some map apps don't seem to know us. It won't let me login as a Google User.

um, yes, she does. she also had the same flip phone for the best part of a decade until such time I was ready to go post-paid and add her to my service.

I can't exactly blame her reluctance, when I share the same gripe of how modern phones are being designed to be as impossible to repair or maintain as possible, while costing about as much as a used Mini Cooper. Seriously, what the actual **** is wrong with phone pricing now?

I'm glad you like it so far, TripodMan! My needs were to automatically place in the header 1) reply-to (my company address), and 2) BCC (my company address where a filter puts it in my sent folder there as well). Unfortunately, so few clients offer reply-to options or even BCC options these days. There are other mechanics going on behind the scenes in my weird setup, mails from me forwarded back to me, now and then someone replies directly to my secondary address, but this new client has all the right options, very well written in my opinion.

The other Chmods as they call them (folder/file permissions) . Why a select few differ from the norm? I just know there set that way for a reason. If yoyr FX file explore has FC's or doesn't preform as intended it may be do to incorrect chmod settings. If it works good, I'd just leave well enough alone.

There are 3 others, you may not be aware of, they are Uid , Gid and Sticky bit.

Thanks for the clear explanation! Yesterday I've tried, as the XDA's thread suggested, to connect the smartphone to the PC (firstly wih "FILE EXPLORER" and then, also with "ADB") and see if it recognised the LG Lucky... but what happened was only that a screen on the PC said that the linked device was only configured in "USB CHARGE ONLY".
In the end, from what I've learned, the big mistake was to not use a custom recovery (like "TWRP", "CWM", ...): but, if the stock recovery couldn't open once changed the "bootanimation.zip" file, the custom recovery would had behaved in the same way?
